Back in his bedroom, Klein, still haunted by the Wall of Spirituality, expertly took out a candle infused with sandalwood and placed it in the center of his desk.
Next, following the procedure, he Spirituality lit the candles and sprinkled in essential oils, hydrosols, and herbal powders symbolizing good luck and mystery. He saw the flickering flames alternate between dim and bright states and smelled a tranquil and serene fragrance.
Klein took two steps back, looked at the candle on the table, and whispered in Jotun:
"I!"
After a slight pause, he switched to Hermes:
"I summon in my own name:"
" The Fool That Doesn't Belong to This Era, Mysterious Ruler Above the Gray Fog, the King of Yellow and Black who wields good fortune."
In an instant, the flickering, dim candlelight and the tranquil fragrance intertwined and merged into an illusory vortex, frantically absorbing Spirituality energy.
After Klein finished chanting the incantation, the vortex stabilized into a palm-sized, grayish-white circle.
After examining it for a few moments, Klein, without the slightest doubt, took four steps backward and returned to the Gray Fog. As expected, he saw his own high-backed chair radiating concentric circles of light, which made the strange symbols composed of parts of " Pupil-less Eye " and parts of " Line of Distortion " appear even more eerie.
He took a breath, calmed his mind through Cogitation, and reached out to touch his target.
Almost simultaneously, he heard the incantation he had just recited and saw the surging Spirituality and ripples of light blending together to stretch out an illusory door.
Compared to the last one, this gate is now fully formed and covered with mysterious patterns!
These patterns connect at the center to form the strange symbol behind the " The Fool's " high-backed chair, a bizarre symbol composed of parts of " Pupil-less Eye " and parts of " Line of Distortion "!
Gazing at the shaky, illusory door about to open, Klein focused his mind and gave it a powerful push.
Silently, the unchanging gray-white mist and the majestic ancient palace seemed to be thrown into a stone-filled lake, creating ripples that surged towards the " Door of Summoning ".
A heavy scraping sound suddenly rang out, and the illusory, eerie door abruptly cracked open. Through it, one could vaguely see a world that was dark and deep beyond measure, with countless transparent shadows of indescribable shapes and beams of clear light of different colors, containing endless knowledge.
Just then, Klein felt an unimaginable and irresistible suction force coming from inside the door, and he was involuntarily thrown towards it.
"What the hell! No room for consideration?" The thought of astonishment had barely formed in his mind when his figure slipped through the crack and disappeared into the darkness behind the door.
As the extreme dizziness in his "head" and the near-mad screams gradually subsided, Klein finally regained his sense of self.
He saw a young man in front of him wearing an old shirt, with black hair and brown eyes, and ordinary features. The man was of medium height and thin, but seemed to possess a lot of strength. He had a distinct scholarly air about him, but was not at all gloomy.
... Isn't this me? Klein was no stranger to this scene; he encountered similar things every day when he looked in the mirror and tidied his clothes.
He nodded almost imperceptibly, and looked around with a sense of understanding. He saw his bed covered with white sheets, the coat rack with half-height silk top hats, tailcoats, and black trench coats hanging on it, the shelf with many books, the desk that was clean and tidy with only one candle, and the candlelight that emitted a grayish-white glow.
He was now Levitation in front of that palm-sized, grayish-white circle.
So, I really "summoned" myself? It's similar to the effect of a soul leaving the body... but it seems a little different... Klein stared at his own body in front of him, at "his" empty, lifeless eyes, and fell into deep thought.
However, he finally confirmed one thing: only his own soul, or Spirit Body in mysticism, could go above the Gray Fog, outwardly manifesting as Astral Body.
No wonder I could see the Astral Body bodies of " Justice," " The Hanged Man," and " The Sun " directly above the Gray Fog, thus confirming whether they belonged to the Beyonder and roughly judging their Sequence... Hmm, my body seems to be protected to some extent, protected by the power of the ritual, allowing me to stand so steadily without losing my balance and collapsing to the ground... Miss " Justice " and the others should be in a similar situation... Klein slowly adapted to the current situation and began to examine the state of his body and soul.
He withdrew his gaze and attempted to activate his own spiritual body, which incorporated some mysterious spatial power.
Ugh!
A slightly chilly wind picked up and swirled around the bedroom. Klein happily savored the feeling of flying, circling again and again.
"Within the same city, I can also Acting role of a 'messenger'... I just don't know if I can carry real objects..." He controlled his emotions, stopped, Levitation in mid-air, and began to test other abilities.
He reached for the notebook on the bookshelf, his hand slipped through it, then slipped back, finding no foothold.
"It has a slightly sticky feel, unlike when it passes through air... When I become stronger, or when I can leverage more of the power of that mysterious space above the Gray Fog, perhaps I will be able to do it..." Klein tried to grab a separate piece of paper, but still couldn't.
After thinking for a dozen seconds, he flew to the coat rack, reached his transparent, blurry hand into the pocket of his black trench coat, and touched the " Sleeping Charm " and " Requiem Charm " that he had successfully obtained after the expense was reimbursed.
These items are imbued with his own Spirituality, falling within the realm of mystery and differing somewhat from ordinary physical matter. Therefore, Klein wanted to try and see if he could carry them.
His palm passed through again, but he clearly felt the presence of the talisman and the fusion of Spirituality. However, his "strength" was not enough to lift the talisman. In other words, the Spirituality of the talisman was not strong enough to resonate strongly with his current state of being.
" The Spirituality isn't strong enough..." Klein thoughtfully turned to another pocket, where he found the " Solar Flare Charm," made by Stealing divine blood power and mixing it with his own Spirituality.
A warm feeling quickly spread throughout his body, making his form more stable and his mind clearer.
He picked up the thin gold sheet and took it out of his pocket. In the newly added mirror in the room, the talisman Levitation outwards on its own, just like in many ghost stories.
"I can carry the Solar Flare Charm and speak directly with my Spirituality... Hmm, I have a certain level of strength in this state..." Klein flew towards the mirror, stopped in front of it, and saw that there was only a thin gold piece in the mirror. Apart from that, there was the furniture in front of him and the dimness caused by the curtains being drawn.
After considering for a few seconds, he placed the " Solar Flare Charm " on the bed and returned to the mirror, trying to see if he could crawl inside.
Suddenly, everything went dark, and Klein's perspective shifted. He saw all the images reflected in the mirror, and vaguely outlined objects in the dim light. This made him feel as if he were hiding in a secluded corner, spying on half of the room.
It really does allow you to enter the mirror, but it's just an ordinary object; it doesn't lead to any mysterious or eerie world... Klein nodded slightly, rushed forward, and returned to the room.
The successful acquisition of the " Solar Flare Charm " gave him great confidence, so he tried to grab another item.
That's a bronze whistle from Azik!
The moment Klein touched this ancient and exquisite object, he suddenly felt his Spirituality expanding and growing cold.
Suddenly, his illusory eyes transformed into burning flames, deep black flames.
"I seem to have become a bit stronger, and my state is closer to that of Wraith, but I don't have that intense resentment anymore..." Klein's current state was reflected in his settled mind.
This is a power belonging to the " Clown ".
"Mr. Azik's copper whistle is truly magical." He nodded, finding that he could now lift papers of considerable weight, and the " Sleeping Charm " and similar items were also readily available.
Unfortunately, while the ritual silver dagger could be carried, the revolver was too heavy to grip... Klein ended his attempts in this area and instead began to investigate whether he possessed any spellcasting abilities in his current state.
After careful experimentation, he determined that the "summoned" version of himself possessed two types of magical abilities: one was to directly Awe the target's soul with an invisible roar, and the other was to create an effect similar to freezing through contact.
Satisfied, Klein turned his gaze to the view through the domed window, to the sunlight and street obscured by the curtains.
"I wonder if I'll be able to move around during the day in my current state..." he muttered to himself, and floated to the window.
Then, Klein carefully pulled the curtain open, allowing a sliver of sunlight to penetrate the Wall of Spirituality and shine into the bedroom.
Under the bright sunlight, Klein discovered that his spirit was emitting black mist, and his power was gradually fading.
He quickly let go, allowing the curtain to block out the light again.
"This won't work..." Klein pondered for a moment, his gaze falling on the " Solar Flare Charm " placed on the bed.
If he had the divine blood power of the " Eternal Blazing Sun " to enhance him, would he have a different effect? He floated onto the bed and tried to grab the thin gold sheet.
However, the moment he touched his target, the warm and pure feeling clashed with his own inflated and cold Spirituality, just as water and fire cannot coexist.
Sizzle!
He dropped the gold piece in his hand as if he had been burned.
Mr. Azik's copper whistle and the " Solar Flare Charm " could not coexist within my spirit body at the same time... Klein realized this and put the copper whistle away, allowing his own Spirituality to contract and extinguishing the black flames in his eye sockets.
In this state, both of my magical abilities weakened... After experimenting for a while, Klein picked up the " Solar Flare Charm " and once again felt the stabilization of his spiritual body and the warm baptism.
He returned to the window and carefully pulled the curtain open a crack.
The sunlight streamed in and fell upon him, bringing only warmth, not harm.
"Not bad..." Klein smiled sincerely, passed through the Wall of Spirituality, and carefully flew outside, intending to conduct more experiments.
