15 Minsk Street, inside the restroom.

Klein pulled a paper figure from a hidden pocket in his clothes, and with a flick of his wrist, it transformed into a substitute.

He had the double sit on the toilet, holding a newspaper, to deceive others, while he himself hid in the shadows, took four steps backward, and entered the Gray Fog.

This series of actions is more magical than magic!

Inside the magnificent and ancient palace, Klein sat at the head of the long bronze table, and made Jason Beria's handkerchief materialize before him.

--This is just a projection, but it can still be used for Divination, provided that the handkerchief does not leave his body in the real world. When he first Divination " Mutated Holy Emblem of the Sun " in Tingen City, Klein used a projection. At that time, he did not know the ritual of summoning himself and could not bring Spirituality objects to the Gray Fog.

Of course, there is a significant difference in the effectiveness of Divination using projection and using the real body. Therefore, Klein tries to use the real body whenever possible. However, he is currently being protected by official Beyonder, making it less convenient to perform rituals.

If someone finds out he lights a candle while using the toilet during the day, that would be a huge problem.

If I can indeed Divination the whereabouts of the Devil Jason Beria, but the revelation is not clear enough, then I will take the risk, summon myself, and bring up the handkerchief... Klein muttered, conjuring parchment and a round-bellied pen, and wrote down the Divination statement:

" Jason Beria's current location."

Normally, it is impossible to Divination the whereabouts and location of a target by relying on a handkerchief that the other party only used in a certain ritual, because the connection is not close enough and there are too many interferences. For example, it is easy to provoke the Abyss Duke that the ritual is referring to.

But for Klein, interference can be ruled out. The so-called Abyss Grand Duke is at most a High-Sequence Devil, not the embodiment of the Abyss, the " Dark Side of the Universe." The mysterious space above the Gray Fog is reserved for gods such as the " Eternal Blazing Sun " and the " True Creator," and at least the Angel "Door," and so far, he has not capsized.

As for the problem of insufficient connection, even Klein, who only received a certain bonus from the Gray Fog, could not solve it. He could only try and take a chance. Perhaps he would have a better chance after becoming a High-Sequence Saint in this field.

Theoretically, it's possible. After all, when a ritual is performed, the body, mind, and spirit are in the most unified state, and it's easiest to communicate with the outside world... Klein, who can now be considered a pseudo-expert in the mysticism field, murmured to himself, holding a handkerchief and a parchment with Divination inscriptions written on it, and leaned back in his chair.

He quickly entered a Cogitation state and kept repeating to himself, " Jason Beria's current location."

After seven repetitions, Klein fell into a deep sleep and entered the dream world.

In the hazy gray sky, countless images flickered intermittently, extremely scattered.

Soon, an image became clear and filled Klein's "field of vision," making him seem to have entered that dream.

In the dream, the light was dim, the desk was dark red, and a figure stood in front of the bay window, gazing at the garden outside.

Inside the garden is a glass-paneled canopy where roses bloom, their vibrant red color glistening in the December chill.

The figure was projected onto the window; it was a man of medium build, with slightly curly brown hair and cold brown eyes, who appeared to be only in his thirties.

This... wasn't I divining Jason Belial's location? Who is this? He seems familiar... Klein was puzzled, but didn't think about it, letting his spirituality continue to wander, as if he were wandering in some mysterious world.

His confusion had barely subsided when the man turned and walked to a corner of the room, where two rather large leather briefcases were placed.

The man squatted down, opened one of the boxes, and inside were neatly stacked stacks of banknotes and gold bars.

The banknotes on display were all in 10-pound denominations, while the gold bars gleamed with a captivating luster.

The man pulled something out of a hidden pocket in his suitcase, and with a flick of his wrist, unfolded it.

This is a slightly pale human skin!

A perfectly intact human skin!

The man quickly stripped naked, put the human skin on, and in just ten seconds, he transformed into Jason Beria, with high cheekbones, gray blue eyes, and neatly combed hair!

At this point, the image suddenly shattered, and Klein opened his eyes.

No wonder Jason dared to take the risk; it turns out that for over a decade, he had been wearing a human skin and never revealed his true form... Truly a calm yet insane Devil... Klein couldn't help but sigh.

Jason left his portrait in the house without arousing any suspicion from Isengard and the others, because the surrounding residents had all seen him and knew what he looked like. Even without the portrait, the abilities of the Beyonder in the official organization were more than enough to recreate one, and the effect might even be more like a photograph. Therefore, Jason had no need or motivation to destroy something like that, which is very understandable.

Who knew that he had left a trap in this most ordinary place! If you search according to the portrait, even if the Nighthawks has the Sealed Artifact "1-42", it won't be so easy to lock onto the target... Moreover, during both of his actions, he used his ability to cover his face. Who would have thought that the face that was so carefully hidden and protected was actually fake! Klein sensed cunning in Jason.

He rubbed his temples and began to recall the scenes he had seen in the " Dream Divination."

"A house with a glass greenhouse—that's quite a distinctive feature; there aren't many similar buildings in Backlund! But the problem is, how do I report it? I just mentioned this to Machinery Hivemind, and Jason must have already sensed the danger and is cautiously starting a disguised relocation..."

"Should I directly approach the Nighthawks with the Sealed Artifact '1-42'? What if I run into someone I know? I don't want to turn into ashes and have them scattered in the Tussock River... Besides, I can't rush to report this. I've only just started the operation; it's impossible to get feedback from my intelligence channels so quickly..."

"That guy really had a huge amount of cash and jewelry, a whole suitcase full of banknotes... the total value might exceed 50,000 pounds..."

Klein's thoughts raced for a while before he calmed down and decided to wait two days before informing the Nighthawks in charge of the matter of the revelation he had received through an appropriate means.

The Divination session ended, and he returned to the real world, removed the substitute, and squatted on the toilet himself.

In the afternoon, as Klein was about to leave, he casually tossed a coin.

This time, he learned that it was not advisable to go out at this time.

"Would it be dangerous to go out?" Klein asked without hesitation, and sat back down in the living room.

About twenty minutes later, he heard the doorbell ring softly and found that it was Isengard Stanton visiting him.

"Mr. Stanton, you've made a discovery?" Klein asked, quite pleased.

Isengard pointed to the back of the foyer:

"Let's go inside and talk."

"Okay." Klein stepped aside.

After sitting down on the two sets of sofas facing each other, Isengard picked up his deerstalker hat, took a breath, and said:

"That ' Apostle of Desire ' has appeared again."

Seeing that Klein remained calm, he nodded in satisfaction and continued:

"Two Detective ' family members refused to be protected, thinking they wouldn't be implicated, so they stayed outside. At lunch today, they were found dead in their respective offices. One had died of sheer terror, while the other had exhausted his last bit of energy from excessive excitement."

"They're too stubborn, no wonder they're followers of Tyrant. But this means the Mandated Punishers have officially intervened. It's said that High-Sequence experts from several major churches and the military have all turned their attention to this, placing the matter of the ' Apostle of Desire ' at the top of their list recently."

"You want me to keep quiet about my identity as a follower of the God of Knowledge and Wisdom?" Klein asked, seemingly realizing something.

"It's so easy for Detective to talk," Isengard smiled and nodded.

"No problem," Klein promised first, then added, "I have some information channels that I can't reveal. If I get any valuable intelligence from them later, I hope you can pass it on to the Nighthawks and keep it a secret."

As for why he chose the Nighthawks instead of the Machinery Hivemind, he believed he didn't need to explain it too clearly; with Detective Stanton's Wisdom, even a fool could figure it out.

Isengard initially agreed to Klein's request, then asked with doubt:

"By telling me, you're essentially letting Jason know in advance."

"Hopefully we can find a good way to avoid it... Please also help me think of other possibilities; your ring should be able to simulate quite a few extraordinary abilities," Klein replied frankly.

"Okay." Isengard said no more.

He hesitated for a few seconds, took out his pipe, sniffed it, and said:

"The actions of the ' Apostle of Desire ' today have confirmed one of my suspicions, haha, and it's also a question you raised before."

"His main goal isn't revenge?" Klein understood what the other person meant.

Isengard leaned forward and solemnly said:

"Since Jason has already passed the ' Cold-blooded ' stage, it means that he must have become cold-blooded, and it's impossible for him to go to such lengths for that Devil Dog."

" Sherlock, look, by now, all of Backlund's official extraordinary forces have been mobilized, and even High-Sequence powerhouses have shifted their focus to this matter. At this point, wouldn't it be much easier for Jason to deal with the other, real target?"

Klein pondered for a moment, then replied in a deep voice:

"That makes a lot of sense!"

After exchanging words for a while, Isengard continued his search for Kaslana, while Klein, after flipping a coin, headed out as planned for the Cragg Club.

They did not reveal their speculations to the official Beyonder for the time being, fearing that it would harm Jason and cause him to abandon the operation.

Upon entering the Cragg Club, Klein encountered Doctor Allen in the lobby.

"Long time no see," he greeted with a smile.

"I've been too busy lately," Allen replied amicably, though he maintained his habitually indifferent expression. "And my wife is pregnant again, so I'm going to be a dad."

"Congratulations, when did this happen?" Klein asked casually.

Allen thought for a moment and said:

"It was only recently confirmed; it must have been over a month ago."

"More than a month?" Klein was taken aback at first, then looked into the other person's eyes.
