Klein was startled and instinctively turned his body to the side, not exposing his back to Leomaster, who was trembling with fear in the storage room.
He could no longer be sure that the " Prisoner " in the linen robe was alright!
At this moment, the knight, dressed in full black armor and bearing the same face as Leomaster, raised his eyes to a deep red gleam as he raised the dark, broad straight sword with both hands.
Thump!
He took a step forward and slashed forward, so fast that Klein's eyes could barely keep up.
Klein was also facing sideways to him, subconsciously raised the " Sea God Scepter," causing the blue-green gem at the top to light up simultaneously.
Ugh!
A real hurricane suddenly appeared out of nowhere, encircling Klein layer by layer and protecting him in the eye of the storm.
With a hiss, a black streak of light cleaved through the air, causing layers of wind to disintegrate and shoot out in all directions, making the entire hall shake violently.
Boom!
Beneath the dark, heavy sword, a hurricane exploded with a sound like an explosion, transforming into a shockwave that engulfed the area, hurling up all the piled-up debris and carrying it into the air.
The intense collision clearly shook the dream; Klein's mind suddenly became dazed, and he involuntarily rolled around twice.
thump!
He fell from his bed onto the deck, opening his eyes with the impact.
That " Saint of Darkness " is really powerful... or rather, I've never actually used the " Sea God Scepter " in the real world, so I can't unleash its full power in a dream... Wait! It's still Evernight! Klein suddenly noticed a problem:
At this moment, no midday sunlight was shining through the window!
His awakening stemmed from a fierce struggle within his dream, not from natural changes!
In other words, he must fall asleep immediately, or he might disappear into the dark night and be lost forever!
In a flash, Klein braced himself with his right hand, sprang up, and flew to his bed, where he lay down steadily.
Then, he visualized countless superimposed orbs of light and quickly entered a dream.
During this process, Klein's gaze swept across the window, and he vaguely saw that the night outside was deep, cold, quiet, and peaceful, without a trace of evil.
At the same time, he vaguely sensed a mist covering the sea in the distance, and within the mist stood a very ancient, pointed church. It was entirely black, without a bell tower, and atop it, black crows were circling and hovering, as if mourning or commemorating something.
Scattered around the church are many buildings, including ordinary two-story houses, simple wooden houses, bakeries with signs, and gray mills powered by waterwheels... Passersby walk through the streets and alleys, their figures indistinct and hard to discern.
A mirage? A source of danger at night? All the missing people have lost their minds, where did they go? Klein woke up from his dream, and the questions that had accumulated before his mind flashed through his mind subconsciously.
Then, he forcibly gathered his thoughts and retrieved the " Sea God Scepter " from the "Special Area of Spirit World "!
He remembered that when he escaped the dream, he was in a fierce battle with the " Saint of Darkness "!
A slightly dim golden light shone into Klein's eyes, and everything suddenly became clear.
His gaze was no longer fixed on the tall knight in full black armor, nor on Leomaster in a linen robe, but on a row of floor-to-ceiling windows facing the setting sun.
The window was spotless, and under the sunlight, it exuded an indescribable purity.
Beside the windows were rows of long, light-colored wooden tables and brown chairs, while further away were rows of bookshelves filled with all sorts of books.
A library? A grand archive? Every time he enters this dream world, he is randomly transported to a different location within a certain range. Klein cautiously observed the surroundings for a while, confirming that the place was safe for the time being, with no so-called " Saint of Darkness " or any strange or evil creatures.
Holding the " Sea God Scepter," he went first to the French windows and gazed at the surroundings.
What first caught his eye was the magnificent architectural complex covering the opposite mountain peaks; the huge palaces, majestic spires, and towering city walls were all frozen in the Twilight, creating a visually stunning sight.
Even though it wasn't the first time he'd seen it, Klein still held his breath and quietly admired this miraculous sight for several seconds.
He immediately shifted his gaze toward the cliff, where he saw the high walls of the Black Monastery and the withered trees beside the boulder, but due to the obstruction, he could not confirm whether " Admiral of Stars " Cattleya was still in the same spot.
Sure enough, within a certain range, without leaving this area... Have I ventured deep into the Black Monastery? Klein thoughtfully withdrew his gaze and walked step by step to the bookshelves.
He didn't have time to think about what the " Saint of Darkness " and Leomaster in his previous dream were all about, because he needed to first ascertain his current situation.
As Klein approached the bookshelf, he noticed that the books on it all had their own names, unlike the vague names he had in a normal dream.
" The Spirituality of Life," " The Book of Charms," "The Flower Within," "The Inner and Outer Universes and the Real Starry Sky "... These are all books in the field of mysticism... Klein cautiously reached out and pulled out the " Book of Charms."
He quickly flipped through the book and found that he already knew most of the content, but there were also some parts that were types he had never encountered before.
It's confirmed that this isn't a manifestation of my dream... Is it the " The Hermit " lady's? The knowledge she was relentlessly indoctrinated with manifested in the library of the Black Monastery? Klein had no desire to explore further. He took the " Book of Charms " back to the French windows, found a seat, and began to carefully peruse it in the Twilight.
In your dreams, you can even learn! He quipped to himself as he pulled out paper and pen and started scribbling.
Just as he was lost in his reverie, the light suddenly brightened, and a dazzling white light dominated his field of vision.
Klein opened his eyes naturally, feeling the warm sunlight streaming in from outside.
"I've only read a few pages, and I was just about to quickly skim through them and then use ' Dream Divination ' to recall them..." Klein sat up in frustration, feeling that he had missed a great opportunity to learn, because he couldn't be sure if he would randomly end up in the Black Monastery's library again next time.
He smoothed his hair, put on his hat, went down to the deck, and while observing his surroundings, he recalled his previous dream:
"That prison is most likely also in the Black Monastery, well, probably underground. In other words, the ' Saint of Darkness ' and Leomaster are in some ruins or remnants not far away."
"No wonder ' Mercury Snake ' Will Auceptin told me not to try exploring those places; they're truly dangerous!"
"How can the ' Saint of Darkness ' and Leomaster look exactly alike? This dream is a bit eerie. Also, that full-length mirror is very strange and sinister; it actually copied Gehrman Sparrow..."
Recalling this point, Klein began to look for examples from his own experiences, using comparison to determine his line of thought.
This is what is meant by relying on experience.
Soon, he made a connection, recalling how he had used the " Nightmare Candle " in Backlund to help Father Utravsky eliminate a split personality from his "past self"!
"Could Leomaster himself be the ' Saint of Darkness ' of the Aurora Order?"
"Due to some reason, he developed a split personality, with his kind self and his evil self separating? Was that deep, closed, dark prison a reflection of his inner dreams?"
"Yes, that full-length mirror! Leomaster said that if it were destroyed, he would disappear with it, and when I looked in the mirror, the image of Gehrman Sparrow inside did indeed materialize, leaning towards evil!"
"No wonder I felt like I'd had Sage- like moment after killing that Gehrman Sparrow in the mirror; it turns out it was because I cleared away some of the evil thoughts and malice from my heart..."
"Hmm, that full-length mirror might not actually be a mirror in the real world... This sea area clearly has the extraordinary remnants of the ' Visionary,' manifesting many unreal yet deadly Monster... And this belongs to the ' Spectator ' pathway, so the existence of relics that cause separation of good and evil, and personality splits, is entirely logical..."
"Heh, ' Saint of Darkness ' Leomaster is a high-ranking member of the Aurora Order. He was originally definitely evil, but that ruin or that item activated his opposite side, the hidden goodness within him, causing a split in his personality, which led to him being trapped somewhere nearby." Klein felt he had roughly figured out the truth of the matter, and felt a little regretful.
Unfortunately, they couldn't enter the same place the second time. Otherwise, relying on the " Sea God Scepter " and Leomaster's benevolent side, they might have truly defeated his evil side, the " Saint of Darkness," and the damage from that dream world would have carried over into reality...
In this way, a kind-hearted Saint who knows the " Aurora Order " very well will appear and be able to effectively combat this cult organization... Klein took a silent breath, turned his body halfway, and looked at Anderson Hood.
"Where did you go in your dream? I couldn't see you." The " Strongest Hunter " asked familiarly.
Klein frowned inwardly and asked:
Why should I let you see this?
Anderson paused for a moment and said:
"Where were you when you left the dream? Shouldn't you still be where you are when you re-enter?"
... Was there other factor contributing to my random appearances in certain places within a certain range? Was it due to my own unique circumstances? Klein discovered that the problem was more complex than he had imagined.
He said carefully:
"After I Dream Divination, I was in another place."
"Strange..." Anderson frowned, seemingly puzzled as well.
Before Klein could speak, he thoughtfully added:
There's something else strange.
"What?" Klein asked cooperatively.
Anderson looked around and said:
"The last time I was pretending to be a canoe in that hall, I heard the sound of Door Opening and footsteps coming out from deep inside, but when I looked up, I didn't see anything."
"I initially thought it was someone from this ship, but then I realized it didn't seem likely."
