"I'm pretty sure about it myself, you don't need to tell me..." Klein muttered to himself, outwardly calm, upon hearing Anderson Hood's words.
From the moment he first encountered Reinette Tinekerr in the Spirit World, seeing her enormous physical form and gothic castle, Klein knew she was no ordinary person. The fact that the messenger had so easily nearly killed the Strongest Hunter just now further convinced him that she was a Demigod, at least Sequence 4!
A Demigod would deliver my messages for just one gold coin each time? Even a fool would know something's up; the messenger must have ulterior motives. Of course, it's also possible that I keep encountering strange things that she finds amusing, and since she happens to have plenty of free time, she's taken on the role of messenger...
Similar situations include " Magic Mirror " Arrodes's flattery, " Mercury Snake " Will Auceptin's goodwill... In any case, one must still be wary and not trust too much... Before having a chance to discuss the relevant matters, don't even think about whether to play the harmonica if danger arises; the messenger might just tear me apart when she comes out... Klein thought of many things in an instant, but his expression remained indifferent. Facing the astonished Anderson, he only nodded slightly:
"This is none of your business."
... This guy is really mysterious! He actually has a Demigod- level Spirit World being as his messenger! Moreover, he casually knows a councilor of the School of Life... No wonder he was so calm and composed after provoking the " King of Immortality "... No wonder the " King of Immortality " didn't seek revenge, or even show up! Anderson suddenly realized, and couldn't help but take a closer look at Gehrman Sparrow a few more times.
"Hmm?" Klein glanced at the Strongest Hunter without any emotion.
Anderson quickly looked away, chuckled twice, and said:
"I've found that you're very suitable to be the main character in portraits, especially those with gloomy and somber backgrounds, which perfectly complement your temperament."
"How about it? Want to consider it? I can paint a portrait for you. Trust me, I'm Planeswalker at that!"
Klein ignored his nonsense, took out his gold-cased pocket watch, and glanced at it:
Go back to your room. I'll come find you in five minutes.
"Okay," Anderson replied with a smile.
After the Strongest Hunter left, Klein took out the Azik Copper Whistle and Will Auceptin paper crane, turned around and went into the washroom to set up the ritual.
After placing " Vice Admiral Iceberg " Edwina's pearl earring above the Gray Fog, Klein sat at the head of the long bronze table, conjured paper and pen, and wrote down a simple Divination statement:
"The whereabouts of Edwina Edwards."
Holding the paper and earrings, Klein leaned back in his chair, silently reciting Divination phrases as Dream Divination through Cogitation.
First, a gray, hazy world occupied his "field of vision," and then a snow-covered plain came into view.
A howling blizzard enveloped everything, and the surroundings were shrouded in a deep, misty fog, unlike any real border.
Klein quickly spotted Edwina; her long brown hair was simply tied in a knot in her hair, then danced Frenzy in the snow.
She wore a white fitted blouse with intricate patterns on the collar and cuffs, and dark trousers, which made her appear thin and frail in the setting.
Edwina's booted feet moved across the snow, leaving a trail of clear footprints, but the raging blizzard easily buried them.
The image gradually shattered, and Klein opened his eyes, only to find that he was unable to decipher the exact location of " Vice Admiral Iceberg " from the Divination he had just received.
"The polar regions? The Evernight Plains of Feysac? It's impossible to be sure. Apart from the wind and snow, there's no other sign..." Klein sat up straight and put down the pearl earring and the paper with the Divination inscription.
He considered for a few seconds and confirmed another thing Edwina Edwards was indeed missing and not on the Golden Dream," which initially ruled out the possibility of a trap.
Klein cautiously performed a Divination on the matter and concluded that there were no traps on the " Golden Dream ".
After pondering for a while, he left the mysterious space above the Gray Fog and, after some busy work, brought back the pearl earrings.
Recalling the map of the sea area near Oravi Island and the current location of the Golden Dream," Klein selected a deserted island where ocean fishermen sought shelter from Storm and instructed Danitz and the others in the letter to sail the ship to that location, which was not too far away.
He folded the letter, played his harmonica, and once again saw the messenger girl carrying four heads.
As he handed over the reply, Klein coughed twice and said:
Can Danitz's location still be determined?
One of the heads in Reinette Tinekerr's hand nodded, and the others spoke in turn:
"Yes... as long as... it doesn't exceed the limits..."
Seeing that the messenger was still floating there, showing no sign of leaving, Klein glanced to the side and said:
"That gold coin was paid for by Danitz."
"Okay..." Reinette Tinekerr's figure faded away quickly.
Klein breathed a sigh of relief. After careful preparation and cleaning up the scene, he picked up his packed luggage, walked out of the room, and knocked on Anderson Hood's door.
"Let's go somewhere else first, then to Bayam." He calmly told the Strongest Hunter his decision. "You can choose to wait for me in Bayam, or come with me."
Anderson said with a grin:
"I feel my adventurer's blood burning, and I'm very curious about what the messenger will bring."
"I originally thought I'd never have a chance to get to know you, but you actually invited me!"
"No, I'm just giving you two options..." Klein turned away coldly and headed towards the stairwell. Anderson hurriedly picked up his newly bought suitcase and quickly followed behind.
After leaving the inn, Klein took a carriage out of the port city and then walked to the edge of a deserted cliff in the Mount St. Draco.
Looking down at the waves crashing against the mountainside, Anderson glanced around in slight surprise.
"Is this our destination?"
Klein ignored his question, took out a talisman made of white tin, and began to chant the incantation " Storm ".
He imbued the talismans with Spirituality, divided them in two, gave one half to himself, and applied the other half to Anderson, leaving only one to throw down the cliff.
" Underwater Breathing, Deep-sea Water Membrane..." Anderson wondered in astonishment as he discerned the supernatural effects that had appeared on his body.
Just then, a loud splash came from below the cliff, and a huge creature resembling a whale emerged from the sea.
Its entire body was dark blue, and its mouth suddenly opened, revealing gleaming white teeth and a blood-red interior.
Klein walked to the edge of the cliff and jumped off. With the help of the talisman's power, he floated lightly into the mouth of the giant sea creature.
Anderson looked on blankly at first, then jumped down excitedly and landed next to Klein.
The enormous sea creature closed its mouth, plunging the inside into complete darkness.
Then, it sank into the water and swam toward its intended destination.
Inside its mouth, Klein's eyes flashed with lightning, piercing through the darkness. He found a tooth to lean against and sat down leisurely.
Because of the protection of the " Deep-sea Water Membrane ", he is not worried about his clothes getting dirty.
"Hmm, that's interesting..." Anderson looked around and asked curiously, "How did you come up with that idea? How did you do it?"
Of course, he prayed to himself, and then used the " Sea God Scepter " to pull over a suitable sea creature that was nearby... Klein didn't answer Anderson's question, and half-closed his eyes, as if he was resting.
"It's a bit stuffy..." Anderson took out a cigarette case and matches from his pocket. "Can I have a cigarette?"
"Ask it." Klein didn't open his eyes.
Anderson chuckled twice, then put the cigarette and matches back.
I don't think it would like the taste of cigarettes.
In the dark, lightless sea, this enormous creature swam swiftly, using specialized organs to efficiently extract oxygen from the surrounding water.
After an unknown amount of time, it surfaced, revealing a deserted island in front of it.
After landing on the deserted island using the power of the talisman, Klein removed his hat and bowed to the sea creature.
"You're very polite..." Anderson said with amusement after witnessing the scene.
"I've always been polite, even to my prey." Klein glanced at the other person, as if to say, "Like you."
Anderson chuckled dryly and pointed to the other side of the deserted island:
There's a ship there.
"Hey, the ' Golden Dream '!"
At that moment, Klein also saw the clean and tidy sailboat, which was dozens of meters long, with overlapping symbols and flowing light on the main cannon that shouldn't have been there.
He immediately picked up his luggage and moved closer, and soon arrived at the place where the Golden Dream " was docked.
Then he saw Danitz jump off the deck and wade over.
Danitz had just arrived in front of Gehrman Sparrow, and was considering how to begin, when he suddenly saw a familiar figure.
" Anderson Hood!" he shouted, pointing at the Strongest Hunter.
Anderson immediately burst into laughter:
Surprised?
Although he didn't know why he had encountered the " Golden Dream," that didn't stop him from forcefully taking the initiative.
"You know him?" Klein glanced at Danitz indifferently.
Danitz instinctively shivered, then forced a smile and said:
"This guy isn't a good person. Over in the Sonia Sea, he's always being chased by a group of pirates, and then those pirates inexplicably become bounties."
"You might not know this, but he came from the church of the ' God of Knowledge and Wisdom,' but was expelled because he repeatedly failed his exams. I heard all this from the captain; they used to be classmates."
He gave Anderson a look of utter disdain for his intelligence, and the others on the ship, including " Flower Bow Tie " Jodeson, made similar gestures.
Anderson's gaze slowly swept across their faces, and he clicked his tongue.
"That's not the point. The point is that I pulled your captain's hair back then!"
The scene fell completely silent, and Danitz's expression Distortion uncontrollably.
