What's going on?
Jiang Fan looked at the Little Turtle that was lying on a rock eating snacks. "What's wrong with him?"
"It's simple, he just didn't learn it," the Little Turtle said.
One sentence snapped the Crazy Old Man out of his daze, and he retorted angrily.
"You haven't learned it yet! Who am I? Back in my generation, I was an unsurpassable legend!"
The Little Turtle retorted without hesitation, "It's fortunate that you and my master are from different eras."
These words really hit the Crazy Old Man where it hurt; he held his breath for a long time but couldn't utter a single fart.
"Alright, stop arguing and running away. Now that you've learned it, hurry back to Fortress No. 1." Jiang Fan was speechless, watching the man and the tortoise arguing so heatedly.
However, after he finished speaking, the Crazy Old Man showed no sign of leaving.
"Huh? What are you doing? Why aren't you leaving?"
The Crazy Old Man's face began to turn red. The more he did this, the stranger it seemed to Jiang Fan. He continued to stare at him, and then the Crazy Old Man's face turned from red to purple, and from purple to black.
"What are you doing—"
Jiang Fan's words were cut off by the Crazy Old Man's shout.
"You were typing so fast, how was I supposed to see it clearly?"
ah?
Jiang Fan was stunned; this answer truly surprised him.
"No, is it that fast? Besides, even if it's fast, it shouldn't be difficult for a Spirit Master like you, right? Moreover, you are the most powerful Spirit Master in our Great Xia. Even though you're half-crippled, as the old saying goes, a starved camel is still bigger than a horse. It's just that one set of sword moves, can't you see it clearly?"
What Jiang Fan said was purely true, without any hint of contempt or mockery.
In other words, the Crazy Old Man figured out that he didn't mean it that way, otherwise he would have given the other person a good beating, and made sure to beat him so badly that even his own mother wouldn't recognize him.
"Hmph! This isn't about whether you see the moves clearly or not. Do you know just how profound this sword technique is? Every move and every stance is more than just a simple swing of the sword. You must understand that the form is merely the outer shell; the true essence lies beneath the moves. This includes the rhythm of your breathing, the precision of your advances and retreats, and so on. Don't underestimate these things; a slight error can lead to a world of difference. If you merely imitate the sword moves, even if you practice them thousands or tens of thousands of times, it will all be a waste of time."
Jiang Fan was a little confused by these words.
Is it that complicated?
"Nonsense! Who do you think created this sword technique?" the Crazy Old Man said irritably.
Jiang Fan pursed his lips and raised an eyebrow, "But I only watched it once back then."
The Crazy Old Man wanted to hit someone.
Jiang Fan quickly took several steps back and moved to stand next to the Little Turtle.
These days, the Little Turtle has been acting strangely; whenever the Crazy Old Man touches him, the Little Turtle bares its teeth and snarls.
Sure enough, the Little Turtle stopped eating its snacks and stared at the Crazy Old Man warily.
It's one thing to pat its owner on the back of the head, but if it were to actually hit or kick them, it wouldn't stand for it.
"Ahem." Jiang Fan cleared his throat and quickly changed the subject, "How about I demonstrate it again?"
Hearing this, the Crazy Old Man's expression softened slightly.
Jiang Fan didn't waste any time and immediately demonstrated the sword technique again. However, after finishing, he found that the Crazy Old Man still looked confused. Helpless, he performed it ten more times.
After ten repetitions, the bewilderment on the Crazy Old Man's face only lessened slightly.
Jiang Fan "..."
Uh, that's a bit disdainful.
But seeing the Crazy Old Man's expression, as if he wanted to punch someone again, Jiang Fan had no choice but to continue the demonstration.
I don't know how much time passed.
"I can't take it anymore, I'm exhausted, I can't type it anymore. You've done it over a hundred times, you still haven't learned it?"
Jiang Fan plopped down on the big rock, squeezing the Little Turtle to the side.
The Crazy Old Man's brows furrowed into a knot. He scratched his ears and cheeks, then picked up the sword and tried to wield it. As he did so, he started scratching his ears and cheeks again, and who knows how many strands of hair he had pulled out.
"I said—" Jiang Fan couldn't stand it anymore, "Maybe you're just not cut out for swordsmanship? Maybe you should just give up. That's life, you have to be open-minded, don't be so hard on yourself, find your strengths, and don't force yourself to change your weaknesses."
"You're talking nonsense!" The Crazy Old Man spat as he spoke. "It's not like I haven't learned swordsmanship before. Even the most difficult sword techniques were quickly mastered, and I even reached perfection in them! I just said that the swordsmanship created by the Handsome Uncle is not something ordinary people can learn. The fact that I can do this in such a short time is already a testament to my extraordinary talent, okay?!"
"But I only learned it once," Jiang Fan said, shrugging.
The next second, he floated up.
That's right, he was lifted up by the Crazy Old Man's kite, directly into the atmosphere, and then he rode a roller coaster.
"Wipe!"
The Little Turtle dropped its snack, pushed off the rock with both feet, and shot into the sky like a rocket.
Seeing the Little Turtle flying towards him, Jiang Fan was being tossed around so much that he didn't care about anything else and instantly grabbed the Little Turtle's tail.
He clung to it tightly; it was his lifeline!
With a flick of its tail, the Little Turtle shook Jiang Fan Jiang Fan onto its shell, forming a protective film around itself before safely bringing him back to the ground.
"Huff--huff--" Jiang Fan leaned against the rock, panting heavily.
The Little Turtle anxiously patted his chest, "Slow down, slow down, be careful not to choke."
It took Jiang Fan a long time to recover.
" Crazy Old Man, you're fucking insane! You want to kill me!"
"I won't die! I know what I'm doing! Who told you to be so foul-mouthed, you brat!" The Crazy Old Man still looked unsatisfied.
"Who are you calling a jerk? I think you deserve a beating!" The Little Turtle, unable to bear it any longer, charged at the Crazy Old Man. It had long disliked the Crazy Old Man Crazy Old Man, and although it also wanted to see him suffer in the future, it simply couldn't bear to see its master suffer like this.
"Depend on!"
The Crazy Old Man didn't expect the Little Turtle to attack so suddenly, and to be so serious right from the start. Judging from its stance, it seemed like it wanted to fight him to the death.
This was no joke; the Crazy Old Man immediately activated his strongest defensive stance to defend against the Little Turtle's attack.
There was no other way; as Jiang Fan said, he was currently in a semi-crippled state and had to use his strongest power.
Of course, if he were at his peak, the Little Turtle wouldn't be a match for him.
"Bang!"
In a single blow, the Crazy Old Man was sent flying hundreds of feet back before finally coming to a stop.
His face was deathly pale, his blood was churning, and his internal organs were trembling.
Seeing that the Little Turtle was about to attack, Jiang Fan quickly spoke up to stop it.
"Stop hitting!"
He had finally managed to get two peaches from Peach Fruit Old Man and gave them to the Crazy Old Man, which restored him to a semi-crippled state. If the Little Turtle had knocked him back to his original form, all his efforts would have been in vain.
Besides, he had seen the Crazy Old Man travel thousands of miles to save him, and had even almost lost his life for him. He remembered all of this deeply.
