Background

Chu Feng attended university before Blue Star’s upheaval. He dated Lin Miaoxian, but their relationship ended after graduation. The breakup left him withdrawn for a long period; he later remembers the gulf between their circumstances as something he once believed a lifetime of effort could not overcome 1878 1879.

His human identity conceals an older existence: he is the intelligence born from an ancient object that emerged from the Gate of Eternity. The Primordial Hongmeng Plan centers on helping him grow, recover his true form, and become a savior capable of confronting Eternal Chaos’s crisis 1781.

His true body is a vast ancient stele. Part of its power was used to construct the world in which he develops, and his revival causes objects with Primordial Hongmeng properties to emerge in certain regions 1843 1872.

Appearance

  • Human form: Described as handsome; the staged assault by several beast kings leaves his face bruised and swollen 1768.
  • Eyes after revival: Briefly have no visible eyeballs, only chaos-colored whites, before returning to an ordinary human appearance 1805.
  • Seed form: Bears two tender leaves. One fallen leaf displays purple-and-gold veins and an ancient presence 1789.
  • True form: A mysterious Primordial Hongmeng stele reaching into the heavens 1843.

Personality

Chu Feng is courageous and quick to react even before becoming an Evolver. During Blue Star’s initial catastrophe, he runs despite his fear and remains concerned about his uncle. He is also pragmatic: when ordinary money loses its usefulness, he immediately recognizes food as the more valuable resource 1737 1738.

He combines caution with a willingness to fight. He bargains aggressively over the tiger spirit’s corpse, recognizes the danger of Situ Qingyun’s planned double-cross, and quietly tests Yun Shang rather than openly accusing her. His view of society is unsentimental: he argues that the strong exploited the weak even before the collapse of public order 1744 1745 1771 1772.

His loyalty can become fierce and emotional. Believing Xiao Tian dead, he vows to retrieve him even from the Underworld and destroy the Ancient God Biotechnology Group. He later kicks Zhou Quan out of a lightning strike’s path and seeks a way to restore Tang Taiyuan’s lost arms 1751 1781 1788.

After his resurrection and the awakening of his Primordial Hongmeng consciousness, he becomes noticeably colder, more arrogant, and harder for Xiao Tian to read. He still participates in pranks with Zhou Quan, but treats Lin Miaoxian with detached indifference and refuses to revisit their relationship 1806 1811 1814 1879.

Abilities & Skills

Breathing Techniques and Innate Qi

Breathing cultivation provides an early route to strength before Chu Feng’s formal entry into the Awakening Realm 1752 1763.

  • Innate Qi: Manifests as a warm current circulating through his body and accompanies Evolver-level physical performance 1752.
  • Incomplete basic Breathing Technique: He continues refining it himself and attributes his rapid growth to its effects 1758.
  • Dao Yin Breathing Technique: Obtained through Yun Shang, with its affinity linked to Yellow Ox. Cultivating it transforms his bones and constitution and improves his Xingyi Fist comprehension 1781.

Great Strength Bull Demon Fist

An ancient fist technique used for powerful close-range attacks 1763 1764.

  • Strikes the Antelope King’s abdomen, creating an opening for Zhou Quan to drive his horns into the wound and interrupt its Thunder Method 1763.
  • Matches King Kong’s punch while Chu Feng is at the Middle Awakening Stage 1764.
  • Remains part of his fighting style alongside Xingyi Fist and stacked true intents 1778 1780.

Ancient Xingyi Fist

Chu Feng comprehends a version of Xingyi Fist containing the true essence of the Dao, combining the five elements with the characteristic movements of twelve animals 1769.

Form / Application Documented Effect
Monkey Form Doubles speed and reactions while increasing strength by roughly seventy percent upon his initial comprehension 1769.
Tiger Form Uses violent, sweeping attacks to destroy dark minions inside a confined prison 1769.
Bear Form True Intent Used to meet the Golden-Haired Rat King’s Inch Light head-on; later added to his stacked true intents 1778 1780.
Crane Form — White Crane Draws Its Sword Turns his fists and palms into swordlike attacks, dispersing black mist and destroying nearby minions 1779.
Stacked true intents Combines Monkey and Crane forms to greatly improve movement, attack speed, awareness, and thought; subsequently adds Bear Form as a third overlapping true intent 1780.
  • His comprehension improves his six senses enough to detect and kick away an invisible attacker 1769.
  • Against the Golden-Haired Rat King, he studies attack patterns, combinations, and timing before launching his counteroffensive 1778.

Formations and Domains

Chu Feng becomes a formation master through Yun Shang’s Array Master Crash Course Textbook 1774.

  • Elemental perception: Detects countless crimson points of light in the Flaming Mountains and perceives their apparent emotions and sounds 1773.
  • Special eyes: Awaken after roughly half an hour of study, allowing him to survey underlying structures and dangers 1775.
  • Navigation: Leads his companions and the Bodhi Group through the Flaming Mountains without triggering earthfire, then coordinates a passage through a Flame Demon-infested Domain 1775.
  • Combat support: Manipulates surrounding energy to increase an enemy’s air resistance while reducing resistance around himself 1778.
  • Early limitation: Although his introductory lesson describes constructing subspace frameworks and Domains, his later fight with the Rat King explicitly states that he cannot yet directly establish a Domain 1774 1778.

Enhanced Senses and Physical Combat

  • Recognizes a distant sniper shot through his enhanced hearing before formally awakening 1751.
  • Rapidly surpasses Zhou Quan’s fighting technique during their early sparring, despite Zhou Quan initially having greater strength 1745.
  • Develops a trusted danger sense described as a seventh sense, which alerts him immediately before the lightning strike 1788.
  • Later blocks the Golden-Winged Great Peng King’s attack with his bare palm 1831.
  • Early in his cultivation, flying opponents expose his lack of ranged attacks and weapons 1766 1768.

Primordial Hongmeng Nature and Revival

His underlying existence allows him to survive the apparent destruction of his human body 1789 1805.

  • Seed survival: Retains his life fluctuations in a seed after the assassination attempt 1789.
  • Regrowth: Sprouts and blooms under Xiao Tian’s spiritual Qi water before returning to an adult human body 1792 1805.
  • Ancient inheritance: A fallen seed leaf carries information from the Primordial Hongmeng Invincible Method, which Xiao Tian acquires. Chu Feng is not shown learning that method in the supplied passages 1789.
  • World-level influence: His revival causes Primordial Hongmeng-associated objects to appear; he states that two recipients may eventually escape Chaos Samsara 1872.
  • Primordial Hongmeng Inscription: Possesses an inscription on his palm and presses it against Xiao Tian’s arm 1872.

Equipment / Items

  • Ancient bronze box and three Dao Seeds — Retrieved from his ancestral home at his uncle’s request. Initially contains soil and three slightly sprouted seeds; Yun Shang later identifies them as extraordinary Dao Seeds requiring cultivation. Yellow Ox recognizes the box and warns him to safeguard it 1738 1765 1771.
  • Xuanyuan Bow — An ancestral hunting bow said to have been made by his great-grandfather’s grandfather. Chu Feng can initially draw it only slightly and entrusts it to Xiao Tian, who can wield it effectively 1738 1739 1740.
  • Bronze coin — Given by Xiao Tian under the identity of Senior Dugu, with the promise that it will help Chu Feng find someone capable of saving him from a fatal tribulation 1765.

  • Zhou Quan — Longtime friend, traveling companion, and frequent sparring partner. Their loyalty coexists with rough teasing and pranks; Chu Feng saves him from lightning, and Zhou Quan cares for him during his seed state 1737 1745 1788 1790 1811.
  • Yellow Ox — Companion whose suspicions lead Chu Feng to question Yun Shang’s motives. Recognizes the bronze box’s importance and is linked to Chu Feng receiving the Dao Yin Breathing Technique, but also beats him over suspected food theft 1765 1770 1781.

Story Role / Major Arcs

Blue Star’s Mutation and the Village

Chu Feng’s journey begins during a catastrophic transformation of Blue Star. Roads collapse, mountains expand, and enormous vines spread across the sky while he and Xiao Tian try to reach his uncle’s village 1737.

At his ancestral home, he retrieves the bronze box and family bow. After reuniting with Zhou Quan, the three confront the village’s monster threat and attempt to trade the slain tiger spirit’s corpse for gene enhancement fluid. Chu Feng raises the proposed payment from thirty-five bottles to five hundred standard bottles or two hundred higher-grade bottles 1738 1739 1744.

The transaction becomes an armed confrontation. Xiao Tian draws the attackers away, leaving Chu Feng convinced that his friend has sacrificed himself. Chu Feng escapes carrying Situ Qingyun and vows revenge against the Ancient God Biotechnology Group 1751.

Kunlun and the Engineered Trials

In the Kunlun region, Xiao Tian secretly directs encounters intended to draw out Chu Feng’s potential. These include the Antelope King battle, prolonged maze trials, and a staged assault involving several beast kings 1763 1765 1768.

Xiao Tian subsequently rescues him while disguised as Fairy Yun Shang. Chu Feng and Yellow Ox suspect a connection between the fairy, the beasts, and the bronze box, but the formation textbook and repeated assistance gradually win Chu Feng’s trust 1770 1771 1772 1774.

He applies his new formation knowledge in the Flaming Mountains, fights the Golden-Haired Rat King, and faces the Ghost-Faced Man alongside Tang Taiyuan. Tang’s sacrifice helps precipitate Chu Feng’s breakthrough in stacking Xingyi true intents 1775 1778 1779 1780.

Assassination, Seed Revival, and Ancient Consciousness

After Yun Shang leaves, Chu Feng and Zhou Quan struggle to regain direction. Long Zaitian exploits their vulnerability by planting the needle that brings lightning down on Chu Feng, leaving him charred and barely breathing 1787 1788.

Chu Feng survives as a seed. Xiao Tian and Zhou Quan care for it until it grows, blooms, and restores his human body at the peak Shackle Realm 1789 1790 1792 1805.

Upon awakening, he identifies himself as both Fengzi and the ancient relic. He challenges Xiao Tian’s allegiance, warns that Eternal Chaos is collapsing, and offers him a chance to leave within a hundred years. Xiao Tian responds to his newfound arrogance by physically subduing him 1806.

Luo Cheng Administration

Chu Feng serves as Xiao Tian’s secretary and takes an active role in Luo Cheng’s affairs. He supervises construction on the city walls, warns of the approaching mist, and handles the Golden-Winged Great Peng King’s complaints about food 1808 1816 1817 1831.

When Xiao Tian enters long-term seclusion, he leaves the city’s administration to Chu Feng and the other officials. Chu Feng’s stele form also becomes the target of Xiao Tian’s visualization cultivation 1843.

Mount Longhu and the Finale

At Mount Longhu, Chu Feng encounters Lin Miaoxian and makes clear that their former relationship is over. He continues through the mountain’s shifting Domains with Xiao Tian, Zhou Quan, and Kabuta, eventually cooperating with Elder Qin’s party where the route requires two domain masters 1879 1880.

As Chaos and its inhabitants vanish, Chu Feng escapes through a spatial gate with Zhou Quan. He later appears in the Primordial Hongmeng Great World at a level that astonishes Lingbao and gives Xiao Tian a ball of light preserving the bonds, family, and friends from Xiao Tian’s past lives 1892.
