The sea breeze blew by, but there wasn't a trace of fishy smell.
Standing on the deck, Arthas gently shook his head, his cold eyes fixed on the southeast, the direction of Lordaeron.
In another half day, we will be able to reach the shore;
In five days at most, or even just three, we will reach Lordaeron.
He knew what he was about to face, what Lordaeron was about to face, but he couldn't quite articulate his own feelings at that moment.
The feelings are mixed and difficult to discern.
The thrill of saving Lordaeron?
Or the sheer pleasure of Devastation Lordaeron?
Is it the sorrow of kindness being further extinguished, or the helplessness of being completely controlled by others?
Arthas didn't know.
But he knew that everything was about to happen.
" Arthas." Tichondrius walked from the cabin to his side, a cold sneer on his lips, "Those idiots of the Council of Six aren't even planning to support Lordaeron. Only that guy named Rhonin, and your little lover are in Lordaeron. The magical barriers they've concocted are laughably shoddy! Looks like nobody takes you seriously!"
" Antonidas has been senile for a long time! The Council of Six isn't united either! All of this was within your expectations, wasn't it? Great Tichondrius?" Arthas skillfully concealed the disgust in his eyes, coldly saying, "I heard you were seriously injured? That Paladin named ' Fenna,' another student of Uther, wounded you with a greatsword called ' Ashbringer '?"
" Ashbringer!" Tichondrius's voice rose eight octaves, his sore spot reopened. "Hmph! Arthas, you'd better watch out! That sword is no less powerful than Frostmourne in your hand! I suspect the crystals embedded in that sword are related to the Ata'mal Crystal of the Naaru! How can mortal forging skills compare to those of Dreadlord! Luckily, it's not in Uther's hands, or you'd be in trouble!"
" Uther? That self-proclaimed just fellow, upholding the purest Way of the Holy Light, how could he possibly gain the approval of a killing sword?" Arthas sensed the powerful energy fluctuations of Frostmourne and heard the Lich King's cold snort from Northrend: "A killing sword capable of severely wounding you, I should be careful!"
"Critically injured! Death Knight, you're dreaming!" Tichondrius sneered at Arthas, "You want to kill me while I'm wounded? Just like you killed Mal'Ganis? Dreadlord cannot be killed! Besides, I'm not him, I'm the First Lord of the Dreadlord! If you weren't still of value, I would have killed you long ago! Don't forget, your master Ner'zhul is nothing in my eyes!"
Silence, a deathly silence.
The two men, who couldn't agree on anything, remained silent, not uttering a single word.
All the ships were completely silent, and even the surroundings were eerily quiet. No birds or fish dared to approach them. The thick aura of death filled them with dread—a fear deep in their blood, a fear of death itself!
A bird carrying a flower branch flew across the sky.
Driven by an inexplicable aversion to life, Arthas glanced up, and the runic sword on his back rang out with a clang, sending a deathly aura piercing the air. The bird didn't even have time to escape; its magnificent wings instantly turned pitch black, and all the life force within its body was transformed into death energy. It continued to fly in the sky, but it was no longer a bird eager to build a nest; it was a bird of death.
The bird of death, a harbinger of impending disaster!
A flower branch fell from the sky, and a petal drifted down, landing right in front of Arthas.
He reached out to touch the beauty of life; this was probably his last attachment to life, a stirring of kindness that had not yet been extinguished within him.
However, before the petals could even reach my hands, they had already withered, the vibrant red completely fading, replaced by a pale color that symbolizes death.
His face was as pale as the Death Knight's!
"Hahaha! Hahahaha! Arthas! Hahahaha! Foolish Death Knight! Pathetic human!"
The arrogant laughter of Tichondrius echoed in his ears.
Laughing so hard he was doubled over, Arthas remained silent. Just then, he felt the ship rocking.
The next moment, he heard his adjutant shout:
"Your Highness! The ship is leaking!"
Is the boat leaking?
How could that be!
These are the best warships in Lordaeron, how could they suddenly leak?
The next moment, he heard more shouts:
"This boat is leaking too!"
"And this ship!"
"All the warships are leaking!"
" Murloc! It's Murloc!"
Whoosh!
Tichondrius spread his wings and flew to the surface of the sea. He stretched out his dark claws and a Murloc burst out of the water and landed in his hand.
The next moment, the Murloc turned into a dried-up corpse and fell into the sea.
" The Murloc dare not approach this place! The aura of the Undead Legion terrifies all living beings! No creature below the Legendary dares to come near here! Unless someone is manipulating them!" Tichondrius looked at Arthas, his eyes blazing. "In all of Azeroth, who else can control the Murloc?"
" Naga!"
A name appeared in Arthas's mind.
The Naga's enslavement of the Murloc was no secret; Arthas knew it, and so did Tichondrius.
At this time, the Naga were unaware that they had already taken the blame for someone else.
"Damn Naga! Damn Murloc!" Arthas ran to the lowest level of the ship's cabin, where the seawater was already up to his thighs. The ship was cracked in more than one place, and he could see Murloc pounding on the bottom of the ship.
"If you dare to come, then embrace death! Become my servant!" Arthas took down Frostmourne, gripped the sword in one hand, and plunged it into the sea.
The next moment, the seawater beneath their feet was completely frozen, the ice blocking the gap, and the seawater could no longer enter.
The terrifying death energy seeped through the ice into the seawater, killing all the Murloc who couldn't escape in time, and then resurrecting them as Undead.
In less than a minute, the Murloc that had been attacking the bottom of the ship became Arthas's servants.
This is the power of Frostmourne!
More Murloc screamed and fled, the threat of death making them forget Jiang Jie's orders.
Deep in the ocean, Jiang Jie watched the other ships sinking in the distance, then turned and left.
So many ships sank, only one remains.
Countless Undead fell into the sea, Arthas lost ninety percent of the thousands of soldiers he had taken with him. This was already an excellent result.
Even if we lose many more Murloc, it's not a pity.
Arthas would land on Whispering Shore in less than a day. He had to immediately notify the soldiers stationed nearby and also inform Uther as soon as possible. A decisive battle was about to begin.
Deeper into the ocean, Jiang Jie retrieved a piece of crystal.
This is an image crystal, given to him by Jaina not long ago. It's very precious, and Jaina only has one.
Through it, Jiang Jie could directly communicate with Jaina's image, saving time.
