Tyrande is gathering forces from various parts of Ashenvale and Darkshore, partly to reinforce General Shandris, and partly because the demonic attacks on Felwood are worsening, requiring even more troops.
In fact, Tyrande had been missing for three days, disappearing along with Cenarius. Jiang Jie knew they had gone to Moonglade, to the Stormrage Barrow Dens Druid, to awaken the Legendary Archdruid " Malfurion Stormrage ".
The Night Sentinels are not strong enough to fight the Burning Legion; the Druid must be awakened.
Unfortunately, most of the Demigod have died or entered the Emerald Dream. The surviving raven Demigod Anveena is said to have gone to the land of the Moon Goddess, the Tortolla the Turtle Demigod is sleeping somewhere in Mount Hyjal, and the Wisp mother Ashamane is too mysterious to be counted on.
As for the five Dragon Aspects Legion...
Sorry, the Black Dragonflight has betrayed us. The Red Dragonflight Green Dragonflight suffered heavy losses after the Second War. The Blue Dragonflight is likely plagued by the Emerald Nightmare. The Blue Dragonflight was almost completely wiped out in the War of the Ancients; apart from Malygos, almost all the blue dragons were born later. Kalecgos, the most active one a few years later, was still a weakling who was shot down by Dwarves musketeers...
As for the Bronze Dragonflight, their mission is more important; they're busy monitoring the timeline every day. The Infinite Dragonflight are their eternal enemy, and apart from a certain bored little girl who likes to dress up as Gnomes, no one can spare the time...
It's not that the Dragon Aspects doesn't want to help, it's that it truly can't.
The enemy they've been fighting is no less formidable than Archimonde!
So, what about the Titan Keepers?
Sorry, Highkeeper Ra has locked himself up, Odyn and his Halls of Valor are sealed off, those in the Halls of Origination Uldum who have important missions won't be showing up, Ulduar is a complete mess, and the two in Uldaman are either meditating or asleep, doing absolutely nothing...
Therefore, from the very beginning, Jiang Jie knew that there was only one way to defeat Archimonde, and that way could only be done by Cenarius and Malfurion.
Awakening Malfurion is imperative.
Judging by the time, it's about time.
Perhaps Tyrande, Cenarius, and Malfurion have already set off for that legendary, most mysterious and complex crypt in Felwood, to awaken the Druid, and also that Demon Hunter whose existence is shrouded in mystery?
So, it's time to set off!
"Guide my way, Pearl of Pandaria... No, only I can guide my way. So, give me your advice!"
Jiang Jie took out the Pearl of Pandaria and placed it on his forehead, whereupon he quickly saw a series of scenes.
"In the heart of Felwood, that ancient cave, the slumbering place of the Druid the Claw... Indeed, Tyrande has awakened Malfurion and is heading there with him. Cenarius, he must have gone to Mount Hyjal, the final battlefield of Twilight of the Gods!"
Everyone has their own mission. Cenarius's current mission is to go to Mount Hyjal to awaken the sleeping Keeper, summon the Keeper of the Grove, Dryad, Treant, Ancient of War, and other creatures throughout Mount Hyjal, establish a defensive line in advance, resist the Burning Legion's attack, and buy time for Malfurion.
Humans and Orcs will also establish a defensive line at Mount Hyjal to block the Burning Legion's advance.
Now, what Jiang Jie needs to do is to find a divine artifact, one that may not be very useful for the time being, but will be very useful in the future.
Ten thousand years ago, before the War of the Ancients broke out, the entire world was a single continent. Under the leadership of Queen Azshara, the Night Elf built an empire that flourished to its zenith, holding almost complete control over the fate of half the world. They loved nature, so much of the world was surrounded by lush greenery. At that time, Azeroth was as beautiful as paradise.
In the War of the Ancients, demons corrupted many places. After the cataclysmic destruction, these places were beyond repair, such as Azshara, Durotar, the Barrens, and Felwood.
Other places have simply become desolate, but Felwood has been corrupted by Fel for ten thousand years and remains incurable. This land has suffered the most severe trauma ever, with evil energy permeating the entire forest. Demons and Satyr still inhabit many places, and even many ancient trees that have lived for over ten thousand years remain twisted and evil. Even the lakes and rivers contain evil energy and potent toxins.
Few creatures can survive here; most are twisted life forms modified by Fel and shadow.
Now, the demons have taken over this place once again.
From the Forest Song, heading north along a long forest path, Jiang Jie led all the members of the Fenris People's Army into Felwood.
"The demons... have indeed infiltrated this area!" Not long after arriving in Felwood, Jiang Jie discovered traces of demons. It seemed that the entire Felwood was teeming with demons, including those that had survived from ancient times and were hidden away, as well as those brought by Tichondrius.
The sky over Felwood was gloomy, the trees were sickly, and the creatures were demonized. Jiang Jie was attacked by at least fifty demonized wolves and bears, but he didn't need to lift a finger; his disciples drove them away.
After months of arduous training, the systematic instruction of the Pandaren Monk, and several life-or-death battles, the disciples' strength has undergone tremendous changes. The weakest among them now possesses strength comparable to a low-level professional, most are equivalent to a mid-level professional, and a few are equivalent to a high-level professional.
This is a remarkable force; even the Order of the Silver Hand would find it difficult to assemble such an elite unit. Only the High Elf and Night Elf could muster such a force.
Three hours later, Jiang Jie arrived at a small Night Elf camp halfway up the surrounding mountain.
This is one of the Druid ' camps in Felwood. Several Night Elf live here, keeping an eye on the evil Satyr ' movements while trying to purify Felwood, though with little success.
Most Druid are asleep, but a small Druid remain awake. They are said to take turns, but each turn lasts for hundreds or even thousands of years.
Jiang Jie spoke with the Druid here.
Because of Cenarius's natural mark on their foreheads, these Druid were very friendly to Jiang Jie and quickly told him that the demons had entered Felwood several months ago, but their numbers had remained small until about a week ago when they entered Felwood in large numbers.
There are very few nature Keeper and Druid in this corrupted forest, not even a thousand in total, and the number of Night Elf sentinels is even smaller. In fact, with most of the Druid asleep, Tyrande has concentrated her forces mainly in Ashenvale, Darkshore, Mount Hyjal, Winterspring, and Moonglade, and has almost ignored Felwood, the most corrupted forest.
" Tyrande... is really not a qualified leader." Jiang Jie shook his head.
Or rather, there are very few Night Elf capable of being leaders these days. The prevalence of Druid and the worship of the Moon Goddess has made them accustomed to freedom and independence. Tyrande's directly subordinate Sisterhood of Elune and Sentinels are actually quite small in number, and over 90% of the Night Elf are not under her direct command. Now that the Burning Legion has invaded, they are completely helpless.
If the Night Elf still had a capable and authoritative leader like they did during the Imperial Age ten thousand years ago, they could easily not only concentrate their efforts to purify Felwood, but also notify the entire Kalimdor.
Of course, Tyrande said she wouldn't take the blame for this; if anyone should, it should be Malfurion.
In the War of the Ancients, the heavens and earth trembled. The great and righteous Lord Malfurion, in order to heal the wounds inflicted on this land, led most of the Druid into the Emerald Dream, leaving Tyrande, who was alone and had little say, abandoned.
It's important to understand that Tyrande was merely a high priestess, and there were many others of similar status, such as the one from the War of the Shifting Sands and the one who forged the Scythe of Elune. Not to mention, there were many Night Elf nobles at the time who completely disobeyed Tyrande's orders.
Therefore, in reality, Tyrande has never held real power over the past ten thousand years; she was merely one of the more powerful leaders among the many Night Elf organizations.
You can't really blame her; she had no choice.
"Have you spotted... any traces of Worgen?" Jiang Jie asked again.
