The four young dragons were indeed quite strong, and they had been cooperating with each other for over a thousand years, so they were very coordinated. In the blink of an eye, they had taken down another Nightmare Dragon.
Ansirem and Modera are both top-tier Archmage, and powerful figures who have experienced many battles. After each severely injuring a Nightmare dragon, the two joined forces to restrain Emeriss possessed strength comparable to High-tier Legendary.

Aegwynn is not what she used to be. She has lost the power of the Keeper. Although she has recovered some of it over the years, she is only equivalent to an ordinary Legendary mage, not even as good as Antonidas back then.
She couldn't handle Kazzak, and of course, she couldn't handle Eranikus was several times stronger than Kazzak.
Even at her peak, she would have to take a serious look at someone of Eranikus's caliber.
What should we do?
Even if she wanted to pray to Elune, the moon goddess, to purify Eranikus with Moon Goddess power, she would have to cripple him first. Besides, Anveena isn't Tyrande, nor is she a true chosen one of Moon Goddess. Even if she prayed, she might not receive much of Moon Goddess's power enough to purify Eranikus.
