Jiang Jie helped lead the assault on Andorhal, where Fenna became the Ashbringer’s chosen wielder and Tichondrius escaped with Kel'Thuzad’s corpse. Jiang Jie, Fenna, and Jaina destroyed Scholomance and rescued its refugees, then reached Lordaeron as Jiang Jie pressed Princess Calia to decide their fate.

• Jiang Jie joined Gavinrad’s forces in the assault on Andorhal and helped Mograine, Doan, and the Wildhammer Gryphon Riders break the Bone Pile Magic Circle and destroy Araj the Summoner.
• Tichondrius stole Kel'Thuzad’s corpse and unleashed infernals, but Uther and Fenna wounded him with the Ashbringer before he fled and revealed that Arthas had become a death knight.
• Uther confirmed that the Ashbringer had chosen Fenna, and Jiang Jie stayed in Andorhal with Fenna and Tirion while proposing that they raid Scholomance.
• Jiang Jie led Fenna and Jaina into Scholomance, where they defeated Ras Frostwhisper, Professor Theolen Krastinov, Alexei Barov, Illucia Barov, and Darkmaster Gandling.
• Alexei’s spirit recognized Jiang Jie as Nicholas, gave him the Barov Family’s hidden inheritance, and asked him to free Illucia, kill Gandling, and purify the family graveyard.
• Jiang Jie, Fenna, and Jaina cleared Caer Darrow Island of undead and escorted the Scholomance refugees back to Chillwind Camp.

Jiang Jie helped Princess Calia prepare Lordaeron for the refugees, claimed Strom'kar after defeating Zakajz, and led the fight against Arthas’s invasion. He forced Arthas to withdraw by using Invincible’s remains as leverage, but Arthas vowed to kill him and raise him as a Death Knight.

• Jiang Jie advised Princess Calia on settling refugees in the Fenris Isles, securing food, and using nobles’ resources, while she appointed him governor of the isles.
• Jiang Jie learned warrior skills with extraordinary speed, advanced his cultivation through Xiao Feng’s electrotherapy, and chose new lightness techniques after losing a challenge to Xuanwu.
• Jiang Jie, Uther, Jaina, and Fenna entered Tyr’s Tomb, defeated Zakajz with Uther’s Silver Hand, and Jiang Jie claimed Strom'kar as Emperor Thoradin’s chosen successor.
• Jiang Jie commanded Muad and the Vile Fin Murlocs to ambush Arthas’s fleet, sinking most of its ships before warning Lordaeron’s forces of the approaching battle.
• Tichondrius summoned Infernals at Whispering Shore, where Uther and Arthas clashed as Jiang Jie and the allied forces fought the undead army.
• Jiang Jie killed Onias and Lord Korth'azz, then joined Fenna in badly wounding Tichondrius after the Elemental Necklace shattered to shield them.
• Naxxramas arrived with Kel'Thuzad’s forces, and Jiang Jie used Invincible’s remains to unsettle Arthas and pressure him to withdraw from Tirisfal.
• Jiang Jie had Jaina teleport Invincible’s coffin away, prompting Arthas to retreat with his forces, then warned Arthas that Frostmourne had taken his humanity.

Jiang Jie helped Queen Calia rally the Eastern Kingdoms against the Scourge and led the effort to defend Quel'Thalas. He formed the Ashen Army under Fenna and reached Stratholme, where he scouted the city ahead of the assault.

• Jiang Jie established the Fenris People's Army, selected recruits including Darion and Lilian, and began training them in martial arts.
• Jiang Jie and Mograine agreed that Darion would train with Jiang Jie for six months and prove himself by killing a thousand undead.
• After King Terenas died, Calia was crowned Queen of Lordaeron and named Jiang Jie governor of the Fenris Isles and presiding officer of the leaders' meeting.
• Jiang Jie warned the gathered rulers that the Scourge threatened every kingdom and secured pledges of aid from several leaders, while the Sun King refused assistance.
• Jiang Jie urged Lordaeron to help defend Quel'Thalas and proposed retaking Stratholme, then Calia and Uther appointed Fenna to command the Ashen Army.
• Dathrohan sent the Ashen Army toward Stratholme, where Jiang Jie met Oryx Rivendare in Alonsus Chapel after the paladin's scouting squad was killed.
• Jiang Jie scouted Stratholme overnight, found undead and demons guarding key locations, then returned to report to Dathrohan and receive his assignment for the assault.

Jiang Jie and the Ashen Army defeated the Scourge in Stratholme, but Tichondrius escaped and the Horde of undead advanced on Quel’Thalas. After Arthas shattered Silvermoon’s Runestone Barrier, Jiang Jie helped rally the city’s defenders while the Scourge marched toward the Sunwell.

• Jiang Jie led the Ashen Army and the rangers through Stratholme, where Oryx purified his mother Anastari and later cleansed his father, Baron Rivendare, with the Holy Light.
• Dathrohan went to face the demons alone, but Tichondrius killed him and took possession of his body.
• Jiang Jie exposed Tichondrius, and Fenna awakened the spirits of more than a hundred Paladins before the demon escaped their attack.
• Arthas overwhelmed Sylvanas’s rangers at the Elrendar River and the Eastern Sanctum, but Nicholas Jiang saved Sylvanas and carried her to safety.
• Jiang Jie and Sylvanas reached Silvermoon City, where the leaders learned that Dar'Khan had compromised the Runestone Barrier and that Arthas had the Key of the Three Moons.
• Arthas used the key to reverse the Runestone Barrier’s energy, devastating Silvermoon City as the Scourge broke through its defenses.
• After the Sun King and the strongest High Elf forces left for Sunwell Plateau, Jiang Jie and Sylvanas rallied Silvermoon’s remaining defenders, and Jiang Jie freed Lor'themar from prison.
• Jiang Jie stopped Sylvanas from pursuing Arthas, while Hawkspear, Nathanos, and the Ashen Army helped hold Silvermoon and Fenna rescued Liadrin and led her into battle.
