Chapter Summaries

Jiang Jie and his allies fought off Mannoroth’s summoned demons while Thrall destroyed most of the falling Infernals with lightning. As Mannoroth’s full strength made the battle harder than Jiang Jie remembered, Jiang Jie told Anveena to destroy the demon portal.

• Grom wounded Mannoroth with Gorehowl, but Mannoroth struck him away and unleashed shadow magic and a barrage of Fel meteors.
• Kael'thas shielded the party with a Four-Element Barrier while Jiang Jie, Anveena, and the four Elemental Spirits battled the demons.

Her call drew nearly all Worgen in Felwood to her, while Allen resisted the Wolf God's summons and a Worgen in Gilneas realized the Scythe had found a new master.

• Velinde prayed to Elune and Goldrinn for strength, and Goldrinn's spirit blessed her through the Scythe of Elune.
• Elune's moonlight steadied Velinde as she received both gods' approval and gained control of the Scythe and the ability to become a Worgen.

• Banehollow confronted Jiang Jie while carrying the Skull of Gul'dan, but Jiang Jie charged into the air and wounded his wings with Strom'kar.
• Banehollow recognized Strom'kar's ability to drain shadow energy and damage souls, then tried to flee above the clouds.

Jiang Jie stopped Banehollow from escaping as a swarm of bats, seized the Skull of Gul'dan, and banished the weakened Dreadlord back to the Twisting Nether. After defeating Fel'dan, he left Velinde to lead the fight in Felwood and rode Zhaoren toward another battlefield.

• Dafeng blocked the fleeing bats while Jiang Jie used sword qi and a cloud-qi hand to kill them and force Banehollow back into his Dreadlord form.
