Chapter Summaries

Jiang Jie helped Aishir resurrect Thunderaan by providing the Bindings of the Windseeker, a Vessel of Rebirth, and materials to reforge Thunderfury. Thunderaan returned as a wind elemental demigod and entered the newly forged sword, which grew stronger with the wind elementals’ power.

• Jiang Jie brought the Bindings of the Windseeker and the other necessary items to Aishir, giving her hope of reviving Thunderaan.
• Aishir used enchanted elementium bars and wind and lightning to forge a new Thunderfury.
• Aishir merged the Bindings of the Windseeker, the Vessel of Rebirth, and Thunderaan’s remaining soul and essence, resurrecting him as a powerful wind elemental demigod.

Jiang Jie stopped Kil'jaeden’s enormous meteor from destroying the battlefield and challenged him directly. Kil'jaeden answered with shadow and fel magic, leaving Jiang Jie frozen as a shadowy double appeared beside him.

• Kil'jaeden summoned a gigantic fel meteor toward the battlefield, threatening demons and allies alike.
• Jiang Jie rose to meet the meteor and shattered it with a true dragon launched by his fist.
• Jiang Jie faced Kil'jaeden and called for him to attack again.
• Kil'jaeden gathered Void, shadow, and fel energies, then slashed through the air and seemed to sever Jiang Jie's soul.

Jiang Jie held off Kil'jaeden while his allies fought through the demons, learning that Sargeras had marked his soul. He dispelled Kil'jaeden's shroud, but Kil'jaeden emerged through the Maelstrom and launched a massive attack.
