Overview

Soul Rings are the essential symbols of Soul Masters and are required for their advancement. While Soul Bones are rarer, Soul Rings are considered more important because they are indispensable to cultivation progression. A Soul Ring condenses after a Soul Beast dies or may be formed through a Soul Beast's sacrifice; a Soul Master then absorbs it through their Martial Soul. 5 114

A Soul Master can possess up to nine Soul Rings. The first, third, fifth, seventh, and ninth rings are especially significant milestones: the third is typically the first Thousand-Year ring, the fifth the first Ten-Thousand-Year ring, the seventh grants a Martial Soul Avatar, and the ninth marks the end of the normal Soul Master path. 17

Acquisition and Absorption

Standard acquisition

A Soul Ring condenses above a Soul Beast after its death. The Soul Master summons their Martial Soul and draws the ring into it, where its soul power is refined and absorbed. 5 21
