Qingmu investigated Mo Yu’s sleepwalking and a headless woman’s murder, uncovering a family’s attempt to hide a killing. The arc ended with Qingmu and Hu Xing trapped underground after Ma Fuqing confessed, then hearing a gunshot above them.

• Qingmu helped Mo Yu wake from her sleepwalking and traced her visions of a thirteenth face to Li Qian’s mirror hypnosis, then broke the mirror to stop it.
• Hu Xing took Qingmu to Lu County, where Yang Baoguo had been arrested for a headless woman’s murder, but Qingmu concluded that his dream did not match the victim.
• Qingmu and Hu Xing visited Ma Fuqing’s home, where his mother drugged Hu Xing and the family confined them in the basement.
• Qingmu found Hu Xing chained in an iron cage, and Ma Fuquan locked them with Ma Fuqing in the dark chamber before leaving with their mother.
• After Hu Xing woke, Ma Fuqing described his mother’s favoritism toward his mentally ill younger brother, and Qingmu accused him of hiding the victim’s head beneath the backyard locust tree.

Qingmu investigated the Mirror Pyramid theory, helped protect Mo Yu from Jiang Deqian, and exposed the abuse of Xia Tian. He then entered Xia Wenyuan’s dream with Hu Xing, where they watched a shadow attack him.

• Ma Fuquan killed his mother while trying to break into the cage, and Qingmu helped expose the head and saw hidden at the burial site Gao had dug.
• Qingmu told Hu Xing and Shi Dazhuang about Mo Yu’s sleepwalking, then left her memories alone and consulted Mei Yiqiu about the connected-triangle symbol.
• Mei Yiqiu proposed that the pyramids connected time, space, and consciousness, and Qingmu recognized the symbol in the fragrant woman’s drawing.
• Jiang Deqian challenged Bi Shenghua to a drinking contest over Mo Yu, then ordered his men to attack when he lost, but Bi Shenghua held him until the police arrived.
• Qingmu followed Hu Xing to the Xia estate, where he helped Xia Tian confront the doll that had been used to frighten and blame him.
• Xia Wenyuan told Qingmu that a shadow attacked him in his dreams, and Qingmu guided the sleeping man into a dream while Hu Xing followed.
• Hu Xing and Qingmu entered Xia Wenyuan’s dream and watched the shadow pursue him through terraces, a city street, and a sewer.

Qingmu rescued Mo Yu and Bi Shenghua from Liang Kai’s mirror maze and Jiang Deqian, while Hu Xing began learning lucid dreaming. In Copenhagen, Mei Yiqiu learned that Evans Lester had warned of parasitic consciousnesses, and Qingmu later met a disheveled man who recognized him as being from “over there.”

• Qingmu saved Xia Wenyuan from an invading consciousness that had taken the form of his shadow, then traced its influence to a Picasso painting and warned that it could grow strong again.
• Hu Xing stayed at Qingmu’s bar, entered a dangerous lucid dream, and learned that her mental power was too weak to continue training, while Qingmu searched for the missing proprietress, singing girl, and Xiao Qi.
• Bi Shenghua and Xiao Qi searched for Mo Yu at Liang Kai’s townhouse and became trapped in a mirror maze, where their reflections aged and decayed before a disheveled man emerged from the broken glass.
• Qingmu rescued Bi Shenghua and Mo Yu from Jiang Deqian’s resort suite, and Jiang died after attacking an unseen opponent and electrocuting himself.
• Shi Dazhuang’s investigation revealed that Liang Kai and Li Qian had used hypnosis and the mirror maze to exploit female students, while Liang Kai’s death was attributed to a heart attack and blood loss after a beating.
• Bi Shenghua expanded Ruhua Bar, Mo Yu moved in with Xiao Qi, and Hu Xing told Qingmu that investigators had found no evidence of mind control or useful leads on Situ.

Qingmu investigated Liu Huaian’s tragic past before traveling with Shi Dazhuang to bring Yu Meiren away from Kuaziba. After helping Yu Meiren face her grief and uncovering the captivity of Yang Lijuan and Xiaoqin, Qingmu fought off their attackers, and Meng Yan took charge of the aftermath.

• Qingmu learned of Liu Huaian’s delusions and the fatal fires he had caused, while Liu Huaian confessed to starting the internet café fire and later died after leaving a confession.
• Qingmu traveled with Shi Dazhuang to Kuaziba, where Shi told Old Enkun that Yu Gang would be honored as a martyr and Yu Meiren initially refused to leave.
• Qingmu helped Yu Meiren confront her memories of her parents, and she emerged from her inner room willing to go with Shi Dazhuang.
• Qingmu discovered clues that Yang Lijuan had been abducted and found Xiaoqin injured, while Old Enkun agreed to let them leave with Shi Dazhuang and Yu Meiren.
