Black Fan Grandmaster
The fat man, who was hiding in the crowd outside, soon spotted Mu Fan surrounded by a group of police officers.
With his bag carried by a patrol officer, Mu Fan remained calm, his eyes scanning the surroundings to spot the anxious-looking fat man lurking to the side. Mu Fan gave him a subtle wink, indicating that he was alright.
The fat man noticed Mu Fan's gesture, disappeared into the crowd, and decided to first find out where the nearest police station was so he could wait for Mu Fan nearby. To kill someone in a bar, especially a low-level member of the Mountain Haze Society, and this was on Zicui Star —it probably wouldn't end well.
"Mu Fan, your identity has been arranged. You are Black Fan, Martial Arts Grandmaster who was invited to visit. You were attacked after mistakenly entering the bar, and this was just a retaliation. You just need to speak according to this identity. I have already entered the police station's internal network." Hei's voice came from inside Mu Fan's ear. This was the source of Mu Fan's confidence. Just like with Fatty, Hei had never let him down.
The surrounding patrol officers, observing Mu Fan's calm demeanor amidst the encirclement, grew increasingly wary. They had just witnessed the scene; the half-corpse lying on the ground had been confirmed to be Ye Long, a minor leader of the Mountain Haze Society and the unsung mastermind behind the Kingfisher Bar —a fact the police had always kept on file.
But this ruthless man was easily tortured and killed by a young man on his own turf. Looking at Mu Fan's nonchalant attitude, these patrol officers knew that he was definitely a ruthless person.
It will be difficult to explain. The Mountain Haze Society also has intricate connections with some people within the Zicui Star Government. This matter will probably reach the ears of relevant people through various channels very soon.
The police station in D District wasn't far from the Kingfisher Bar; Mu Fan arrived in just over ten minutes by Hover Car. He then entered, surrounded by a group of armed police officers.
"Beep beep, communication device detected." When passing through the security gate, Mu Fan's bone conduction headset was detected by the machine and removed. From now on, Black General will no longer be able to provide Mu Fan with direct assistance.
He glanced at his wrist without making a sound, and surprisingly, the watch's material didn't trigger the alarm.
Mu Fan was led to a solitary, all-metal room, the hydraulic door closing behind it. This was the highest-level Interrogation Room in the D District Police Station; the metal surrounding and underfoot was strong enough to withstand several minutes of heavy firepower.
There was a mirror opposite Mu Fan Mu Fan, and he saw his own reflection while sitting in the chair.
Behind the mirror were three police officers in uniform observing the activity inside the house.
"Hello, due to a tip from an informant, you are involved in a murder case, so please cooperate with the police investigation." The voice came from a corner where the audio source network was distributed.
Mu Fan nodded, indicating that he had heard. He could sense someone watching him, right behind the mirror in front of him.
"Name?"
"Hei... Fan." Following Hei's prompting, Mu Fan uttered this name. Why did it have to be Hei? This intelligent life form is so narcissistic.
"Gender?"
Mu Fan ignored the topic; he didn't want to talk.
Why kill Ye Long?
"The attack was malicious, so it was self-defense," Mu Fan said calmly. Hei had already given the instructions, so they would proceed according to the established plan.
"Mr. Black Fan, what is your purpose in coming to Zicui Star? We suspect you have ulterior motives." The police officer's voice paused for a moment before continuing.
"Martial arts exchange," Mu Fan said with his eyes closed.
"Martial arts exchange? May I ask what Mr. Black Fan Fan's professional identity is?" The questioner's voice was somewhat puzzled. Martial arts exchange is indeed a common practice among some celebrity fighters who travel between different planets to exchange ideas.
"Fighter." He couldn't very well say that his profession was Martial Arts Grandmaster, so after thinking for a moment, Mu Fan came up with this term.
"Please wait a moment." The police gestured for a brief pause.
Behind the mirror, three police officers had already begun to quickly check Mu Fan's identity, and the bag Mu Fan was carrying was also opened and searched.
"Training suit, combat uniform... a brand new pair of shoes, that's all? Uh, and a Optical Brain Helmet... Here, interstellar customs identification card." An officer searched through Mu Fan's bag and found a black metal card with the Federation Customs logo printed on it. This was an identification card, and everyone who travels in interstellar space would have one.
"Check it out immediately," said the slightly older of the three officers, who appeared to be the person in charge of the Interrogation Room.
The officer inserted the ID card into the police station's identification reader next to him. A green light beeped and a row of information quickly appeared on the screen.
"Black Fan, male, 20 years old, from Landu Star, certified A-level fighter by the Star River Federation Fighting Association. Interstellar Customs Information Record: Arrived on Zicui Star on June 7, 276 of the Federation Calendar, invited by the Dingchuan Academy... to participate in the Army Reserve Special Recruitment Examination?" The police officer looked at the document in disbelief. If it weren't for the several official certification marks on the document, he would have thought he was reading a story.
A twenty-year-old A-level fighter? Isn't that Martial Arts Grandmaster? Such a young Martial Arts Grandmaster!? The Federation Fighting Association divides fighters into five levels: D, C, B, A, and S. An A-level fighter means that this person has the strength to independently open a martial arts school on a planet and has mastered more than three A-grade Combat Skill.
Moreover, if such a person does not use mechanical weapons, it means that... he can instantly kill anyone around him whose strength is not greater than his.
Such talent is a treasure on any planet, enjoying exemptions granted by the Federation. Just imagine a group of heavily armed police officers surrounding this Martial Arts Grandmaster, guns pointed at him; that officer would be sweating bullets.
If this Martial Arts Grandmaster named Black Fan had harbored any intention to resist, that group of people would probably have been Geshā the moment they entered the bar.
"Captain, look..."
All three were stunned by Mu Fan's information. Should they verify it again?
Suddenly, the police station's Sky Communicator rang loudly, and the older officer immediately answered it.
"Did you detain a Martial Arts Grandmaster?" The question came directly out, but no one dared to make any extra movements. It was the voice of the police chief.
"The government of the Fourth Administrative Region Landu Star, just sent me a notice demanding the immediate release of their Martial Arts Grandmaster! What exactly did you do? You had the Leopard to detain Martial Arts Grandmaster, and they didn't even kill you!" After a barrage of scolding, the director hung up the phone amidst his grumbling.
The three exchanged glances, realizing that Ye Long of the Kingfisher Bar had died in vain, as the other side had a terrifyingly powerful background.
Compared to a Martial Arts Grandmaster from an entire planet, a fourth-rank leader of an underground organization is unlikely to be defended by the Mountain Haze Society Mist Society. My condolences. This thought occurred to all three of them simultaneously, and they quickly got up to open the hydraulic door of the Interrogation Room.
Just kidding, if he stays locked up any longer, he'll probably be in there himself.
Mu Fan, who was sitting with his eyes closed, suddenly felt a jolt in his wrist. He opened his eyes and saw the police officer who had just opened the interrogation door and entered. The officer was smiling and saying, "Black Fan Grandmaster, it's a misunderstanding. Thank you for your cooperation with the Zicui Star Police Station. We'll see you out now."
A smile appeared on Mu Fan's face. He opened his handcuffed hands and then exerted force.
Then the officers watched in disbelief as the police-issued interrogation handcuffs gradually deformed on Mu Fan's hands, before being crumpled into a ball and thrown onto the table by the rather young Martial Arts Grandmaster.
Gulp! The three of them swallowed hard, feeling incredibly relieved. It turned out that the other person had been playing along with them all along, and thankfully they hadn't angered this devil.
