Disco Came to Pay Child Support Again

Ye Huan had no idea his cousin and his wife had even had a spat over that hundred thousand yuan. If he had known, he would have given Grandpa a thumbs-up. Good thing he had not given them five million outright. With his aunt and her son's personalities, they would not have been grateful; they would have dug to the roots, asking where the money came from and how much there was altogether.

Then they would have endlessly cried and made a scene in front of Grandpa. Eighty million? And you only gave us five million? What was that supposed to mean? Ye Huan could already picture it.

But he did not know any of that now, nor did he need to. He tucked Jingjing's blanket around her and lay back in the recliner, drinking as he told her a story while she watched the stars. Today's story was about Little Red Riding Hood beating up the wolf grandmother.

"So, Little Red Riding Hood saw through the wolf grandmother's disguise. While the wolf wasn't paying attention, she came up behind it, pulled out a hammer, and brought it down on its head. Never in its wildest dreams had the wicked wolf grandmother imagined it would die at a little child's hands."

"All right, that's the end of the story." After more than half an hour, Ye Huan finished the story, only to discover that Jingjing had fallen asleep again. Children really did fall asleep quickly.

He smiled slightly and looked up at the starry sky. There was no rain today, but there was wind, and the moon shone brightly. Xiaobai lay on his legs. Though half-grown now, the wolf was still fine to hold and did not weigh much.

Ye Huan stroked Xiaobai's soft fur as he drank and gazed at the sky, listening to the rustling of leaves in the wind outside, a thousand thoughts coursing through his mind...

He remembered his days working away from home, and the days since he had returned this time. Life was unpredictable. He thought of the piece of jade he had picked up at home, which had given him the life he had today, and of his miserable days working overtime back then.

Just like that, after three or four drinks, he grew drowsy and fell asleep slumped in the recliner. Xiaobai had already settled by his feet and fallen asleep too.

Once again, Jingjing shook him awake in the morning. He rubbed his eyes and checked the time. It was eight, so he picked her up and took Xiaobai home for breakfast.

As soon as they entered, little Mimi, who was playing with toys, spotted Jingjing, and the two soon started playing together. After preparing breakfast, Ye Huan called Jingjing over to eat. "Mimi, have you had breakfast?"

"I already ate! I ate with Mommy," Mimi answered.

"Mm, good girl. Where's Mommy?"

"She went to the vegetable patch with Great-Aunt," Mimi said.

Ye Huan nodded and asked no more. He quickly finished breakfast, then saw Grandpa returning with Saihu after their walk.

"The village allocated that vegetable patch behind our house to Jingjing's mom. What do you think we should do with it?" Seeing that his grandson had finished eating, Grandpa got down to business.

"It's about one mu, so plant vegetables. Sell them along with ours. The income should be enough for the two of them to live on, at least." Ye Huan did not mind. Although he had not yet offered to work with the village, what was wrong with looking after his own people?

"There are a few abandoned homestead plots in the village. Does the village have any plans for them?" he asked Grandpa.

"What plans could there be for those run-down places? We'll see later. If anyone's willing to come back and develop here, and their families have grown, the village will probably reallocate the homestead plots. Those who stay away and don't come back won't count," Grandpa said after thinking it over.

"Why? Do you have something in mind?"

"No, I was just asking. I'd rather live in the mountains than have those places." Ye Huan laughed. He had been wondering whether they could build on them and turn them into guesthouses or something. If friends or other people came to visit in the future, they would not need to stay at his house.

For instance, Ye Yingying and her close friend had said they wanted to visit. They would definitely stay at his place. He had even bought new beds and supplies especially for them, all still sitting in the space.

If there were guesthouses, he could save himself the trouble.

But it was only a thought. There was no rush now; he could talk about it if an opportunity arose later. Because of what had happened before, he and the village had not made peace yet.

Although everyone was still growing his vegetables now, the market would tell them later: you weren't up to it.

"The weather's nice today. I'll take Mimi and Jingjing out for a livestream in a bit." Ye Huan lived leisurely every day.

"But what should I stream today?" Ye Huan had a headache over it. He was not a professional streamer, just an amateur doing it for fun. When he first came back, he had seen plenty of people online returning to their hometowns to renovate houses and getting six months of livestreams out of it.

But his house did not need renovating, his woodland cabin had been finished in a few days, and he was no longer needed to grow vegetables. He really did not have much to stream.

"Since there's nothing to stream, I'll just show you my woodland cabin." Ye Huan smiled and started the livestream on his phone. Then the three people, one wolf, and one dog set off.

"There's not much content today, so I'll show everyone my cabin. Hehe, I've already spent two days here," Ye Huan told the camera. Then he turned it around to show everyone the little cabin.

"It's not very big," a viewer commented, and he saw it.

"Yeah, the bedroom's three by four meters, and the bathroom beside it is two by two. I never planned to make it big. I'm the only one staying here. Coming up here to clear my head when I've got nothing to do is pretty nice," Ye Huan explained.

Then he opened the roof, revealing the panoramic skylight, which stunned the viewers watching the livestream.

"The streamer's got some brains! Lying in bed watching the night sky like that? Unbeatable!"

"It really is nice, especially when the sky's full of stars. It must be beautiful."

Ye Huan smiled. "I haven't got much going on these next few days, so I'm planning to build a treehouse a little farther in. That should be wonderful too. I'll take you over for a look."

He left the two little girls watching cartoons on the bed, with Saihu standing guard, and walked out of the cabin with Xiaobai, panning the camera around their surroundings.

"The surroundings are beyond reproach. So beautiful! I want a cabin like this too," a viewer remarked wistfully.

After walking a little over two hundred meters and leaving his family's woodland, Ye Huan pointed to a big tree. "Look, isn't this tree perfect for building a treehouse? Hehe."

The camera showed a huge tree so thick that even three to five people could not encircle it with their arms. Its trunk began branching about two meters above the ground. Ye Huan had checked it out; it was very suitable for a treehouse.

"Awoooo!" A sudden howl startled everyone in the livestream.

"Run, streamer!"

"There's a wolf! The streamer's done for!"

But Ye Huan remained unhurried. Xiaobai, on the other hand, was very excited and answered with an "Awooo!"

Soon, a streak of silver-white lightning appeared on camera. In less than a dozen seconds, a wild wolf came into view.

Although many viewers knew Xiaobai was a wolf, none had seen his father. They happened to catch Ye Huan's livestream today, and so they got to see a wolf.

"Holy shit, a wild wolf..." The viewers were stunned.

"Let me introduce you all. This is Xiaobai's biological father, the wild wolf Disco..." Ye Huan introduced him to the viewers with a smile.

"Then I'm the fucking Elevator God of War." The viewers could not keep a straight face when they heard the name.

Disco had no idea what Ye Huan was doing either, talking to a little black mirror like he was possessed.

He walked over to his son and nuzzled his little head. Though Xiaobai was still young, his frequent visits to Ye Huan's Spirit Spring Space meant he had started growing. He was starting to look the part.
