" Chaochao, here."
Gu Wancheng stood by the door and called out to Chaochao, who was looking around curiously.
Chaochao turned her head, her eyes lit up, and she ran over, "Daddy, I brought back cookies!"
Gu Wancheng caught him, smiled and nodded, feeling helpless about his tendency to forget things and run around.
He led Chaochao to the car, and Chaochao's eyes crinkled with joy when she saw Bo Yizhou. "Father."
Bo Yizhou nodded.
Chaochao opened her schoolbag and took out a individually wrapped cookie. "These two are for Dad, and these two are for Father."
Gu Wancheng and the other person reached out and took it.
Chaochao exclaimed loudly, "Try it! It's super delicious!"
Gu Wancheng opened the package and put it in her mouth in front of him. The milky aroma was rich, and it melted in her mouth. It was indeed delicious.
Gu Wancheng nodded and praised, "It's delicious, thank you, Chaochao."
Then Chaochao looked at Bo Yizhou with expectant eyes, "Mmm."
After eating it, Bo Yizhou also said, "It's delicious."
Chaochao was excited the whole way. Looking at the unfamiliar scenery outside the window, she asked in confusion, "Aren't we going home? I still need to give Xiaobingzi Suisui."
Gu Wancheng pinched his cheek and said, "Let's go eat some small cakes."
Chaochao got used to his occasional pinching of her cheeks, only feeling uncomfortable for a short time at the beginning, and reasonably suspecting that his round face was due to his pinching.
Gu Wancheng looked at her son, who had a worried expression, with a puzzled expression. What was wrong with him? Did he have something on his mind?
She secretly gave Bo Yizhou a look, signaling him to look down at their child.
Bo Yizhou looked down and saw that Chaochao had returned to normal, her face beaming with smiles.
So he looked up at Gu Wancheng, asking him with his eyes what was wrong.
Gu Wancheng was speechless. Why were this kid's moods so unpredictable?
He twitched his lips and gently shook his head.
After finishing the dessert, Chaochao also packed a serving of tapioca soup for Suisui. When they got home, Chaochao wanted to take the cookies and soup with Butler Chen to Suisui's house.
Unfortunately, neither Suisui nor Lin Ting were home, so they had to give the cookies and sweet soup to Butler Yan and ask him to give them to Suisui when she returned.
Seeing that he returned so quickly, Gu Wancheng asked curiously, "Isn't Suisui home?"
Chaochao nodded and asked, "When are we going to eat?"
Gu Wancheng glanced at him, "You just ate dessert, are you hungry already?"
Chaochao rubbed her stomach. "I'm not hungry, I just want something salty."
Gu Wancheng took a bag of snacks out of her pocket and handed it to him, "Have some of this first."
Chaochao's eyes lit up and she quickly took it. It was spicy strips! Hehe.
Gu Wancheng saw him eating with a satisfied expression, "Is it delicious?"
Chaochao nodded briefly, her words slightly mumbled, "Delicious."
Gu Wancheng reminded him, "Eat slowly."
This small packet of spicy strips kept Chaochao savoring the taste until the next day.
Before going to school, Chaochao hesitated and said he still wanted to eat, but Gu Wancheng ruthlessly rejected him, leaving him completely petrified and on the verge of shattering.
After entering the school dejectedly, Gu Wancheng went to eat a spicy hot pot meal.
Perhaps he was punished for eating spicy hot pot behind Chaochao's back. He felt terrible at noon, vomiting and having diarrhea, running to the toilet several times. Now he's lying in bed on an IV drip, his face as pale as paper, his lips completely bloodless, looking like a sickly beauty.
His face was contorted with despair; he'd never been like this before. It must be that the restaurant was unclean. He'd better avoid it; he wouldn't go there again.
When Bo Yizhou heard that he was feeling unwell, he wanted to go home, but Gu Wancheng stopped him. It wasn't a big deal, and there was nothing to see. He just hoped that he would get better soon and not delay his meal.
However, after a day, things didn't improve at all. After mentally thinking about that shop again, I felt much better.
To take care of the patient, Gu Wancheng had several plain dishes laid out in front of him. He stared longingly at the food in front of them, his mouth watering.
Upon seeing this, Chaochao said, "Dad, you're sick, you can't eat these things. You have to be good."
He knew, how could he not know!
With tears welling up in her eyes, Gu Wancheng reluctantly lowered her head and mechanically ate the bland, watery soup in front of her.
Chaochao tilted her head and thought for a moment. Just as she raised her hand, Bo Yizhou called out to her.
"Don't give it to him."
Chaochao's eyes widened in disbelief. How did his father know what he was planning? It was amazing!
Gu Wancheng glanced at Bo Yizhou, who had spoken ruthlessly, her face full of bitterness and resentment.
Finally, feeling a bit full, he immediately put down his chopsticks, got up, and left. Out of sight, out of mind, he simply couldn't stay there any longer.
Back in her room, she lay listlessly on the bed, her stomach starting to cramp and ache. After taking Chaochao to school, Bo Yizhou didn't go to the company but went straight home.
I poured myself a glass of hot water and went upstairs. I saw a head sticking out of the bed and walked over.
Gu Wancheng stirred slightly and said weakly, "Did Chaochao go to school?"
Bo Yizhou placed the cup on the bedside table. "Yes, he's worried about you, and so am I."
Gu Wancheng yawned. "No problem, don't worry."
Bo Yizhou remained silent, then slipped a hand under the blanket and gently rubbed his stomach.
He asked in a low voice, "How is it?"
Gu Wancheng breathed a sigh of relief and nodded.
Bo Yizhou rubbed his stomach, picked up the hot water that had been left to cool for a while, and gestured for him to sit up.
After waiting a while, he didn't move at all. Gu Wancheng looked at him innocently, raised her hands and stretched them out to him, "I don't have the strength, I can't get up."
Bo Yizhou took his hand out and lifted him up from the bed to sit up. Gu Wancheng leaned lazily against him, as if she had no bones.
Bo Yizhou fed him water, Gu Wancheng drank only half a cup before turning her head away, not wanting to drink anymore.
Seeing this, Bo Yizhou put down the cup, Gu Wancheng lay back down on the bed, blinking at him. "Aren't you going to work today?"
I'll go again at noon; I'll stay home with you in the morning.
Gu Wancheng felt a warm glow in her heart, smiled secretly, then patted the spot next to him and said generously, "Come on, get in bed."
When Bo Yizhou asleep next to him, he rolled into his arms and settled into a comfortable position, drifting off to sleep.
I started feeling sleepy shortly after taking the medicine.
Bo Yizhou gently rubbed his stomach, and after a while, Gu Wancheng slowly fell asleep.
When he woke up, no one was next to him. He checked the time and realized he had slept until midnight! Good heavens!
No wonder he was so hungry. Gu Wancheng felt weak all over and didn't want to get up at all, but being hungry was even more unbearable. So she slowly got up, went downstairs, and ate a meal, which was still just watery soup.
Gu Wancheng finished eating quickly, sat in the living room for a while, took her medicine, and then went upstairs to lie down.
My mind is foggy, a complete mess.
I'm really not going to that store again next time, really!
