Knowing that Jian Yichen can faint after missing a meal, he recognizes the signs of low blood sugar and asks whether he has eaten dinner. Shang Shujue subsequently brings them pineapple buns 41 42.

Tianlin shares the buns with nearby trainees. When Jian Yichen later chokes, Tianlin gives him water, helps him recover, and guides him toward the stage while quietly reminding him not to reveal his reaction to Shang Shujue’s thoughts 43 44.

Discovering His Original Story

Shang Shujue’s inner voice reveals that Qi Tianlin is the male lead of a sweet, pampering danmei novel and that Bai Luxing is his intended partner. The revelation shocks Tianlin enough that he drops both his phone and a glass. His roommates tease him about their daily conversations, while he insists that nothing romantic is happening between them at present 75 76.

Shang Shujue initially imagines a conventional romance involving Tianlin’s childhood trauma and Luxing’s physical impairment. Tianlin rejects both descriptions. The later account instead establishes his supportive family background and promising academic future 76 77.

Leaving the Training Camp

Even before hearing the full tragedy, Tianlin feels an urgent need to return to Bai Luxing. After learning about Luxing’s threatened death and Su Weiwei’s connection to Su Youchuan, he reassures Luxing that he will be home soon and begins packing. He tells Lin Jinhao that entertainment is not his only option and that he wants to become a scientist 77 78.

His friends gather for a farewell meal, and others send well wishes through their group chat. Tianlin declines Lin Jinhao’s valuable jadeite bracelet but promises to remain in contact 78 79.
