Kuiper Belt.
This is the edge where the sun's gravity can barely reach.
The gray-black ice rocks, frozen by extreme cold for billions of years, slowly tumbled in Eternity silence.
There is no wind in a vacuum, but there is also sound.
Even the sunlight from that distant yellow star, when it falls here, is reduced to a pale gray halo.
And it was within this layer of gray that...
A black halberd, several kilometers long, moved ruthlessly, crushing a floating ice guardian with a diameter of half a kilometer.
"..."
Before the shattered ice fragments could even spread outwards, they were churned into ice powder by the distorted vortexes around the ship.
Countdown, day four.
" Black Zero " silently cut into the gravitational disk of the Solar System.
The lights inside the bridge were turned off.
The overall tone of the bridge was cold and gloomy.
Dark red kryptonite runes flowed silently down the grooves in the wall.
In the dim light radiating from the universe, a dark, dried-out blood-red glow shone through.
Command center.
Zod stood with his hands behind his back in front of the huge arched porthole.
The newly made uniform was heavy and rough, its surface covered with finely polished, forged yellow patterns.
Against that backdrop of dense, cold stars.
A tiny, light blue dot, no bigger than a pinhead, was slowly growing larger as the mothership advanced.
"That... is the place Joe chose, ha... nothing special."
Zod's voice was deep and rough.
Just as he spoke, a strange, thin stream of light suddenly flashed through the depths of his originally deep brown pupils.
A cloudy, viscous yellow color.
Yes, the fragments left behind by the Parallax in the void, along with the remnants of warp, successfully pierced into Zod's body just now.
But it did not take Zod's mind away; instead, it poured like a bucket of boiling oil onto the burning flames of hatred in his chest.
"Aaaaaaaahhhhhh--"
Zod's temple throbbed with a sharp pain.
In his dazed mind, tens of thousands of voices screamed and roared simultaneously.
That was a provocation projected by that foreign entity called "fear"...
The agonizing screams of hundreds of millions of compatriots before their deaths, and the hypocritical pleas for mercy from the corrupt bureaucrats of the Kryptonian Council.
This potent poison, unable to be released, is being amplified infinitely by the dark yellow energy flow within the body.
It was constantly eroding his reason.
"General, the vanguard probe is in position."
Just then, his adjutant Faora's voice rang out behind him.
"Let them out."
Zod didn't turn around, his eyes fixed on the blue planet.
"Three things. First, determine the Earth's surface gravity constant and atmospheric ratio to calibrate the landing point of the World Engine."
Second, lower the frequency band and test-run a gravity deflector over the ocean, and send out advance vessels to test the defense threshold of the homeland; third...
Zod paused, the sickly, dark yellow light in his eyes suddenly contracting:
"A full-scale search for the ' Codex of Life '... since the bastards left behind by the El family are on it."
Then his cellular radiation absolutely cannot be hidden... Go find him."
"Yes."
Faora slammed her right fist into her breastplate, then turned and disappeared into the shadows.
Soon, a narrow exhaust valve suddenly slid open from the belly of the mothership to both sides.
A black, spiraling, pointed boat swiftly glided out of the gravity trough, leaving no trace of its tail flame.
Only the Starlight in the background was suddenly shattered, pressing out circles of transparent folds that rippled outwards.
The ship then suddenly twisted in mid-air, almost defying inertia as it circled and accelerated.
It then transformed into a blurry black bone, piercing straight through the inner orbit.
Five hours later.
Gotham, deep underground.
Inside the Batcave, the air was thick with the dampness of water seeping through the rock layers.
In mid-air, dozens of curved screens were neatly arranged, casting a soft, pale blue light down upon them.
The silhouette of the man sitting in the leather chair was sharply defined.
Deep-set eyes, and a dark stubble covering his chin.
He still smelled of gunpowder from last night's shooting.
In the center of the screen, two complex waveforms are scrolling in a loop.
The left group shows the stress record from the recent instantaneous explosion at the bottom of that unnamed lake in Kansas.
The right group shows a the Deep anomaly map captured just half a minute ago by Wayne Industries' weather satellite.
"Gravity wave distortion... the central valley value has sunk by 1.2 standard gravitational constants."
As he pondered, Bruce's fingers tapped on the keyboard.
Atlantic Ocean.
Four hundred nautical miles north of Bermuda.
Without any Stormfront, the ocean currents there suddenly created a water hole with a diameter of 100 meters.
That was definitely not geological activity.
Bruce stared intently at the screen, muttering to himself.
"The Earth's crustal plates did not fracture or shift; it was a directional gravitational field pressing down from an altitude of ten thousand meters..."
Similar to the energy response in Kansas, but... different.
As he spoke, he slid open the other side of the interface.
They directly and forcibly took over the Wayne Enterprises's satellite matrix deployed in geosynchronous orbit using the highest level of authority.
Three seconds later, a blinding crimson light flashed on the screen.
That's in outer space, at the boundary between the thermosphere and the exosphere.
An invisible contrail is cutting into the Earth's atmosphere at an extreme speed exceeding Mach 45.
Not only that.
It not only failed to slow down, but even when it reversed its path through the stratosphere.
It forcefully traced a non-linear anti-gravity trajectory within the radar beam.
That's something that no existing human-made aircraft could possibly do...
Something is hurtling towards Earth from the depths of the stars.
Whatever it is...
We absolutely cannot sit idly by and wait to die!
Thinking of this, Bruce grabbed the mask clasp on the table, closed his eyes, and revealed a pair of cold, dangerous eyes.
" Alf, help me take over the low-altitude telemetry system on the mainframe..."
"Also, increase the satellite scanning frequency of all satellites near Kansas to the highest level, so that even a bird flying by is recorded."
At that moment, the old butler's worried voice came from the other end of the communicator:
"Young Master, the military detected the unidentified flying object a long time ago, and the Atlantic Ocean defense zone has now been placed on the highest alert."
" Alf, the defense zone is still stuck in the interception process..."
By the time they figure out what the shadows on the radar are, it will probably be too late.
Bruce disconnected the communication with one hand.
Without the slightest hesitation, he strode into the darkness at the end of the launch bridge.
The camera panned forward, following his cold, hard silhouette.
"Clap, clap."
The sole of the boot slammed onto the perforated steel grating pedal, producing a dull echo.
Beneath the suspension bridge.
The dark pool constantly emitted wisps of white steam.
The heavy boom slowly sank with the creaking of the winch. In the darkness, the colossal machine pierced through the cold mist and descended abruptly.
Its entire body is covered with a finely crafted matte black wave-absorbing armor layer, and the edges of its folded bat wings, swept back sharply, are as sharp as blades.
"Buzz--"
Several faint red beams swept across the dome, curving at the cold, hard geometric angles before disappearing into the white, cold mist.
The canopy slid open, Bruce stepped into the aircraft.
The moment the figure entered, the locking valve suddenly closed.
"Buzz--"
With a very short, tight hiss, the entire fighter jet quickly powered on and started automatically.
The holographic HUD and the digital control panel suddenly illuminated within the curved canopy.
Meanwhile, the dual-engine vector Pulse system slowly revved up within the narrow rock cavity.
The flame is not visible.
Only two nearly solid ion jets roared out from the tail of the machine.
"Knock knock!!!"
In an instant, the entire cave was filled with low-frequency resonance.
The surface of the pool below didn't even have time to ripple before the violent air pressure forced out layers of dense, trembling ripples.
"Boom--"
At the top of the shaft, the hundred-ton granite sluice gates receded layer by layer, and the damp, cold wind and rain from the Gotham Sea howled and poured in.
One second.
The fighter jet disengaged from its latch, lifted off against the gravity, and took off.
Before dawn, the thick, leaden sea fog was torn open with a long, straight gash.
"Thump--!!"
Above the black waves, the sound barrier shattered.
The enormous shadow surged along the ridges of water created by the shockwave, bursting into the depths of the ocean fog.
(This is based on my experience with IMAX camera angles; I hope it gives you a bit of a cinematic feel.)
