After the sect competition ended in a deadly confrontation, Ling Yi left the sect with Ji Luo Xue and Zhao Gao, traveling toward the Great State of Chu.

• Ling Yi cultivated the Mystic Moon Art, formed a life-binding Soul Contract with Ji Luo Xue, and discovered he could copy physiques and techniques, including Zhao Gao’s Longevity Physique.

Ling Yi built his influence in Great Chu, recruiting Chu Wanyue and rescuing Chu Jie while confronting a Heavenly Mandate Demon and uncovering outsiders’ efforts to manipulate the world. The arc ended with Ling Yi erasing the Prince of Zhennan’s rebellion and Corpse Refining Sect in less than half a shichen as he prepared to expand his power.

• Ling Yi took in Chu Feiyan after she fell into his arms, then traveled with her and Ji Luo Xue to Blue Stone City while Zhao Gao left the group.
• Ling Yi exposed and killed Qi Xuan, defeated the Great Chu cultivators who came to intervene, and raised Chen Xiaodao to the Mahayana Realm before securing Chu Wanyue’s oath to serve him.

Ling Yi built strength and a mechanized foothold in the Demon Land while learning about its dangers and locating signs of human territory. Shen Yue survived on her own, joined the Heavenly Dao Sect, and hid the extraordinary potential of her mutated supplies.

• Ling Yi made fifty thousand Imperial City Guards into Heavenly Soldiers, spread [Poison] through them, and ordered them to unite the Immortal Cultivation Realm under his Heavenly Court.
• Ling Yi freed Bai Susu and Bai Shuang'er, while his investigation of Bai Susu’s memories revealed the False Children of Karmic Luck and their past calamities.
• After returning to the Ling Realm, Ling Yi entered a strange world with Shen Yue, where his supplies and equipment mutated and he befriended a troop of Short-Armed White Apes led by Great Sage.
• Ling Yi and the apes drove off a Blood-Patterned Python, and Ling Yi armed his camp with robots, drones, and firearms before sending them to investigate a cave abode.
• Ling Yi’s machines killed the cave’s lingering divine soul and recovered its belongings, while Elder Mu brought Shen Yue before the Heavenly Dao Sect after discovering her Divine Pin Spiritual Root.

Ling Yi left the Demon Land as the Rat Emperor broke its barrier and settled in Red Maple Town, while Shen Yue gained control over demons and pursued him. Their reunion at Heavenly Radiance Mountain joined their Space Abilities and reopened a passage to Blue Star, which they chose to return to despite the threat of zombies.

• Ling Yi used satellite surveillance to study the Demon Land, uncovered Yun Song’s history and the Longevity Formula, and strengthened his camp as rat demons attacked other demon cities.
• Ling Yi’s defenses kept fleeing demons from his camp while the invasion spread, and Shen Yue and Mu Hanyue responded to the fall of Demon-Suppressing City and discovered the city lord’s role in the crisis.
• The Rat Emperor allied with Zheng Xiong, devoured seven Demon Emperors, and broke the Blood Baleful Energy Grand Formation, prompting Ling Yi to leave the Demon Land with Great Sage and his equipment.
