Lorne naturally requested Dobby's guardianship at Hogwarts from Dumbledore.
From the moment he made up his mind, Lorne had Sirius stir up some trouble at school, preferably letting others know that his target was Harry, so that it would be easier for him to plant Dobby in there.
After the incident with the Fat Lady Lorne suggested to Dumbledore that Dobby be placed next to Harry, or in the Gryffindor Common Room.
He told Dumbledore that Sirius's target was definitely Harry, and if he failed once, he would definitely come back a second time. The professors couldn't be by Harry's side every day, so an inconspicuous House-elf was the best arrangement.
Dumbledore initially disagreed, but the Dementor incident at Quidditch forced him to go to the Ministry of Magic. During his absence from Hogwarts, he genuinely couldn't oversee the students' safety, especially with Sirius Black eyeing Harry.
So he agreed.
The atmosphere at Hogwarts was tense, filled with fear of both the Dementor hovering overhead and Sirius, who might be lurking in every corner.
Except for Lorne.
He knew the Dementor couldn't find him, while Sirius was currently in his office researching whether he could eat chocolate after Transfiguration a dog.
"We need to find a way to confiscate the Marauder's Map," Lorne said, stroking his chin as he sat in his chair, "But I don't even know who has it now."
"Confiscate it?" Sirius suddenly transformed into human form. "That's not the fate I want for the Marauder's Map."
"If we don't confiscate it, they'll find out sooner or later," Lorne rolled his eyes, then belatedly added, "Why did you change back? I wanted to see if you'd have any problems eating chocolate."
"How is that possible?" Sirius took another piece. " The Animagus's physical condition is good after the reconstruction, but that doesn't mean we'll be as fragile as animals. Otherwise, Peter the rat wouldn't have lived for so many years."
Lorne nodded. "That makes sense."
"Don't you want to learn from the Animagus? If you were in our year, we'd definitely hit it off," Sirius tossed his curly hair. " James loves to associate with talented people, and besides, you're kind of sly."
"No," Lorne refused decisively.
Sirius pressed on. "Don't you want to know what animal you'll turn into?"
"I don't want that either," Lorne said firmly. "More than that, I think you should be concerned about your godson. Harry's broom is broken all over the floor, and he might not even be able to participate in the remaining Quidditch Match."
"What? Why are you only saying this now?" Sirius immediately went to the door. "I want to buy Harry the fastest broomstick. Would you like to sponsor some?"
Lorne: "..."
Just say you don't have money.
"Aren't you quite wealthy?" Lorne asked, still giving Sirius a month's salary in advance. "How come you can't even afford a broom?"
"It's not that I have money, it's the Black family," Sirius took the money and counted it. "I can withdraw the money, but it might be dangerous, and I don't plan to take any more risks until we catch Peter."
Thinking of the Firebolt Sirius wanted to buy for Harry, Lorne couldn't help but remind him, "Maybe the Nimbus 2001 would be fine; any faster broomstick would just look like a will-o'-the-wisp."
Sirius didn't want to know what "will-o'-the-wisp" meant; he ignored him completely. "You know, when I give someone a gift, I always give them the best."
Watching Sirius transform into a black dog and nimbly run outside, Lorne even missed the crazy Sirius of the past. At least he was Quiet and serious back then. Now, he jokes around, avoids the important issues, and acts carefree and reckless.
For the next collaboration, let's approach Lupin first; I haven't even sent out my Permanent Wolfsbane Potion yet.
It's worth mentioning that he divided the Permanent Wolfsbane Potion into 2.1 portions. He took a little from each half to send to Snape for testing. Anyway, Dumbledore had already investigated his background, and no one would label him a Death Eaters remnant if he pulled out some strange stuff.
Professor Snape's spell was cast at just the right moment; Harry was unharmed and was cleared out of the Hospital Wing by Madam Pomfrey the following day.
Harry was in a bad mood because of the Quidditch loss; he felt he had let down the entire Gryffindor team. He even avoided lunchtime, afraid to see Wood, even though the man seemed indifferent.
Not to mention that Harry's broom was shattered into pieces, and with the added pressure from the Dementor, Harry felt as if he had swallowed a thousand Fainting Fancies; he felt he could never laugh again.
"Hey, Scarhead," Draco said, riding on Goyle's shoulders like Dementor to scare him, "Are you crying or did you wet your pants?"
"Get out of here!" Ron tossed the chicken leg in his hand; it was the lunch he had brought for Harry.
Draco and the others left laughing and joking. Ron patted Harry on the shoulder. "It wasn't your fault, Harry. Dumbledore has already gone to the Ministry of Magic. They'll definitely get you a brand new broom. Don't slouch, cheer up."
"But they can't compensate me with a Golden Snitch," Harry said, crouching down and rubbing his cheek. "Besides, I'm hunched over just because I'm too hungry to move."
There were no classes in the afternoon, so the two walked towards the dormitory together. Ron kept urging Harry to go eat, saying that they could still catch the end of the meal if they went now.
" Harry, I saw Wood leave with my own eyes. You can still go eat now. The cream of mushroom soup was delicious, and there's also—a bowl of noodles?"
"Don't lie to me, Ron, there's no pasta on the Hogwarts menu."
"No, Harry, look over there."
Harry looked in the direction Ron was pointing and saw a wide-mouthed blue and white porcelain bowl sitting quietly on the table in the Hogwarts common room. Steam rose from the beef noodles floating on the surface, making Harry involuntarily retract his tongue, smack his lips, and swallow.
"Whose noodles are these? Isn't eating not allowed in the common room?"
"But you can take it to your dorm to eat."
A green head suddenly appeared on the sofa with its back to Harry; the voice and appearance were all too familiar to Harry.
Dobby!
Dobby's arrival was a welcome surprise for Harry. He invited Dobby to his dormitory, and after Dobby insisted on eating noodles before chatting, Harry finally ate his fill and let out a satisfied burp.
" Dobby, you can make pasta too? I thought only Director Lorne could."
"He's the one who taught Dobby. Dobby will never forget the bowl of noodles Lorne Dobby to. Dobby's good life today is all because of him."
Dobby sat on Harry's bed Dobby a duck, looking extremely well-behaved. He looked exactly the same as when he first met Harry last year, except that his tattered clothes had been replaced with the uniform of the Magic Mobile Phone Shop.
"But why bananas?" Ron asked. "And what about the Little Banana Star in the basement? Does it have some meaning I don't know about?"
"Banana is a registered trademark of Lorne, and we now have the Banana Business Group behind us."
"What Muggle- like vocabulary," Ron couldn't help but grumble. "I know it's a trademark, but I still don't understand why they would use a banana as a trademark."
" Dobby doesn't know either," Dobby shook his head. " Dobby only remembers Lorne saying he wanted to defeat Apple."
