What is the meaning of life?
Draco had just finished playing with his Magic Mobile Phone and lay on his bed, lost in thought.
He seems to have developed a addiction to the Magic Mobile Phone. Three games with zero new events, and he doesn't know what to do during his vacation. He even occasionally wonders if he truly lived during the years before the Magic Mobile Phone was released.
Well, the money I saved at the Magic Mobile Phone Shop is almost gone. I need to find an excuse to go to Diagon Alley with Goyle and Crabbe tomorrow to top up some money.
" Draco, are you asleep?" Narcissa knocked on the door. "Mom wants to talk to you about something."
Draco was about to reply when he suddenly realized it was already past midnight and he should have been asleep. So he immediately closed his eyes and pretended to be asleep, but kept his ears wide open, listening intently to any sounds coming from the doorway.
Narcissa's voice rang out only once, and then silence fell over the outside, followed by the sound of footsteps fading into the distance.
It seems they've left.
Draco opened his Magic Mobile Phone again. He found it quite interesting to browse the Cuckoo Forum during his free time.
[ Long Live Quidditch: Tickets for the Quidditch World Cup are on sale now. Hopefully, the Quidditch World Cup in a little over a month will be even more exciting than in previous years!]
[ Wood: With a stadium that can hold 100,000 people, tickets shouldn't be a problem, right?]
[ Division-Level Wizard: The tickets for the inner field are sold out, and guess what I saw on the World Championship ticket? There was an ad for Magic Mobile Phone in the background image! Looks like the Magic Mobile Phone store has partnered with the Quidditch World Cup.]
[ A Niffler: That's normal. A Magic Mobile Phone costs almost nine Galleon, and with the in-game purchase events, they're bound to make a lot of money.]
[ Moon Girl Is the Best: That's right, so when will the game update with new events? I'm thinking of spending money on in-game purchases.]
[ The Free-Spirited Dragon: +1]
Draco wasn't really worried. He estimated that the game update should be coming soon. Every summer was a time when new games and events for Magic Mobile Phone were frequently updated. As a student at Hogwarts, he knew very well that Director Lorne had more free time during this period than all the other days of the year combined.
But we still need to urge them.
After leaving, Narcissa sat down on a chair downstairs. The dim light in the room added an air of mystery to her face.
Lucius was currently gathered with the heads of other Pure-blood families, scattered across various chairs in Lucius's study. Old Nott spoke first, " The Cuckoo Forum on the Magic Mobile Phone has given too many Muggle-born wizard a voice. Some people in the Ministry of Magic are even adjusting policies based on feedback from the Cuckoo Forum, and the voice of Pure-blood is beginning to diminish."
"Are they crazy? How can policy be treated so lightly?"
"Don't you know, even if others don't?" another Pure-blood spoke up. "From some perspectives, the Ministry of Magic is a farce. The implementation of its policies is nothing more than a few big shots acting on impulse. In the beginning, the Ministry of Magic was just a tool for us Pure-blood to control politics, but now, it has gradually slipped out of our control."
"Let's not talk about that," Lucius began, pulling the cell phone he'd confiscated from Draco from his drawer. He initially intended to smash it on the floor, but fearing it would damage his relationship with Draco, he simply slammed it on the table. "Business hasn't been going well for any of you families lately, has it? The Wizarding World only has so much money, and almost all of it has recently gone into the pockets of this Magic Mobile Phone shop. Our boycotts haven't had any effect whatsoever. It's even now being linked to the Quidditch World Cup. Once it expands to other countries, I'm afraid we won't be able to stop it even if we want to."
Old Nott frowned. "But the Magic Mobile Phone is too irreplaceable; it's difficult for us to target it."
"No, nothing in this world is irreplaceable," Lucius said with a smirk. "If there is, then make a perfect copy of it and give it a makeover."
" The Magic Mobile Phone Shop is hiring recently. That foolish Muggle would never guess that I've planted our people among the applicants. Once we learn how to manufacture Magic Mobile Phone, we can replicate that success and seize the Magic Mobile Phone market with other Magic Mobile Phone."
Lucius made it very clear: if the Magic Mobile Phone is irreplaceable, then let the Magic Mobile Phone replace the Magic Mobile Phone.
"Will he sue us in Wizengamot? I remember there's Magical Item Patent Protection Law."
"In the last hundred years, the Magical Item Patent Protection Law has only been used three times, and in those three times, the success rate of suing others using the patent protection law was zero percent," Lucius smiled confidently. "I know better than you and him that the so-called patent law is nothing more than a deceptive regulation for those merchants. If you want to prove plagiarism, you need very substantial evidence or a completely identical logo, which we can avoid with just a few minor modifications."
"Isn't his name banana? We'll call him apple. Isn't he whole? We'll get a bite taken out of him. We'll still use his content for the Magic Mobile Phone; as long as there's even one difference, it won't count as plagiarism."
"Is that Mudblood really that stupid? He actually revealed the complete method for making Magic Mobile Phone. Could it be fake?" A Pure-blood began to have doubts.
Lucius took a sip of tea nonchalantly. "Don't worry, since he advertised at the Quidditch World Cup, it proves he wants to mass-produce and dominate the market. He'll inevitably reveal the manufacturing method when training new employees. However, he's quite clever; he divided the Magic Mobile Phone into two parts. One part is Philosopher's Stone with Magic Power Matrix. Some of my people have already mastered this, and we can even use higher-grade materials for production. This is a unique advantage that Pure-blood families have accumulated from their early development."
"The other part consisted of other gears and parts, which he sourced through a partnership with the Weasley family, thinking we wouldn't be able to procure them..."
"That traitor!" The mention of the Weasley family immediately evoked righteous indignation from Pure-blood families.
Lucius raised his hand to signal the others to Quiet, and continued, "But just recently, their third son got a job at the Ministry of Magic. I simply had some high-ranking officials at the Ministry of Magic ask him a few questions, and he told me everything he knew, like spilling beans."
Lucius was referring to Percy, who had just graduated and joined the Ministry of Magic as a clerk. His lust for power was written all over his face, and he was extremely respectful and responsive to anyone of higher rank than him.
"Therefore, the reason I invited you all here today is to pool our strength to launch a full-scale attack on the Magic Mobile Phone market. I'm not old-fashioned; I know that Magic Mobile Phone have many advantages and are bound to become a trend. But such a good thing should naturally be controlled by Pure-blood."
Who's in favor, and who's opposed?
