"Ladies and gentlemen, please allow me to introduce this groundbreaking magical product— the Magic Mobile Phone. It's waterproof, fireproof, curse-resistant, drop-resistant, wear-resistant, and leaves no marks..."
Quirrell shouted through a megaphone, and the audience Quiet for a few seconds because of Quirrell voice, but when they heard Quirrell's repetitive remarks, they all booed in unison.
Quirrell immediately changed the subject. "Of course, you haven't come here to buy a brick, so I'll explain how the Magic Mobile Phone works and the four existing apps..."
Quirrell spoke passionately, having perfectly taken Lorne's advice—to be a good salesperson, you must first fool yourself!
The customers in the audience listened with rapt attention. Most of them had experienced the fun of Street Wizard Fighter, but a small number had come on the recommendation of friends or had seen the news in the newspaper and thought that the Magic Mobile Phone had some collectible value. This group of people had not yet experienced the Magic Mobile Phone, so they listened very attentively. Occasionally, if there was any noise nearby, they would take the initiative to maintain order.
"Can you really feel the magic flowing from your fingertips to your phone, and then freely flowing and controlling it? I've never heard of this technology before?"
"It's true. You'll know if you've played Street Wizard Fighter. The magic flows without any blockage, making it really fun to control."
Of the four apps, Street Wizard Fighter was the most widely used, so Quirrell introduced it first. When he announced the name, cheers erupted from the audience.
A small number of people also played The Wizard Legend on a standard-sized Magic Mobile Phone. This type of game, which requires long-term online play and a lot of grinding, didn't make a big splash during the timed play phase. However, Lorne firmly believed that The Wizard Legend would become mainstream again after the release of Magic Mobile Phone.
Now comes the main event.
"The third piece of software," Quirrell's voice suddenly rose, "I want to ask if you still use owls to send messages? For urgent messages, do you use Floo Powder? What if the recipient is deep in the mountains or overseas?"
" The Magic Mobile Phone of the new era will give you the answer. The third software is called Cuckoo Messaging, or Cuckoo for short. As long as both parties have Magic Mobile Phone and you happen to be friends with the other party, then no matter where you are in the world, you can send messages with one click simply by holding your Magic Mobile Phone."
Lorne had already gone down to the first floor. His task was to officially sell the Magic Mobile Phone in the store. Quirrell was in charge of promotion and letting customers into the store in batches, while Sains was in charge of the Fawley and activities after purchasing the Magic Mobile Phone.
"Cuckoo" was the name he came up with. A QQ is not well-known in the Wizarding World, but an owl is a well-known messenger. The name was catchy and its function was obvious. Lorne decided on the name almost as soon as he thought of it.
Someone outside the store shouted, "Then why not use Two-Way Mirror?"
Quirrell's eyes lit up, and he pointed, even more excitedly. "This gentleman is right, why don't we use Two-Way Mirror? Putting aside the merits of different functions for now, I'd like to ask everyone, how much do Two-Way Mirror cost?"
"This rare magical item is always in high demand and short supply. Its last sale price reached four figures in Galleon. After all, no one would refuse a tool for instant translation."
"And what about our Magic Mobile Phone?"
Quirrell made an "8" gesture with his right hand and then shook it three times.
A chorus of groans erupted from the audience.
"Eight hundred and eighty-eight Galleon? That's way too expensive!"
Quirrell shook his head, a confident smile playing on his lips, as if watching a child make a fool of himself, before letting out a loud roar.
" The Magic Mobile Phone officially goes on sale today! Not 888, not 88, but only 8 Gold Galleons, 8 Silver Galleon Jewels, and 8 Knut! Don't miss out! Only 888, may you prosper all the way!"
Quirrell smiled. Just as Lorne had predicted, the customers were already in a frenzy, buzzing with excitement. He admired Lorne's quick thinking in connecting the words "eight" and "great," making the customers accept the price so easily.
Harry, who ran to a greater distance to observe, was utterly astonished. He couldn't believe that this was the Professor Quirrell who had been timid and stuttering just two months ago.
Lorne was also impressed by Quirrell's sales prowess.
Voldemort gave him a promising talent, and he taught the talent to set traps for wizards.
Outside the store Quirrell placed his learning app " Senior's Help " last, successfully linking the Magic Mobile Phone with essential learning resources for students, leading the parents in the audience to believe that their children would lose at the starting line if they didn't buy the phone.
On the other side, Sains also launched his own sales model. He was slightly inferior to Quirrell, but as long as he mentioned the Fawley that Lorne had conceived, such as "buy one and you can enter a lucky draw", "the prizes include blind boxes", "free maintenance, repair and screen protector for the Magic Mobile Phone ", the crowd below became even more excited.
The Wizarding World, with its simple folk customs and conservative business models, couldn't withstand Lorne's disruptive stimulation, and they all rushed to put their wallets on the store counter.
Quirrell began releasing people in waves.
There were probably four or five hundred people standing outside the store, but among them were many who were waiting to see what would happen and some who had brought their families. Quirrell let twenty or thirty people in at a time to make sure that the whole family could go in together, while he continued to explain the functions and benefits of the Magic Mobile Phone.
The wizards who rushed into the shop had lost all semblance of decorum. They raced towards Lorne, some of them completely unaware that their hats had been removed.
"Five! I want five Magic Mobile Phone!"
"Give me five too, one for each person in my family!"
Lorne gave an apologetic smile. Sales require sales techniques, and after-sales service requires customer support.
He, Lorne, possesses both: skillful communication and excellent service.
"I'm sorry, sir, but due to the limited stock of the first batch of Magic Mobile Phone, in order to accommodate every customer, our store limits purchases to one per person and per household."
"To express our apologies, each customer will receive an additional one-year warranty on their Magic Mobile Phone. During this period, we will repair or even replace your Magic Mobile Phone for free if you encounter any problems. All you need to do is leave your name."
Restricting purchases serves two purposes: to address Power of Emotion and to prevent reselling.
As for warranty service, what's the point of a warranty for something that can't break at all?
Even without purchase restrictions, Lorne would still give it to everyone to save face and demonstrate her service attitude. Moreover, the warranty service requires writing down names, which makes it easier for Lorne to conduct precise targeting and research on the Magic Mobile Phone owner population in the future.
The buyer can never beat the seller.
Customers readily accepted the purchase limit, and some even actively promoted the Magic Mobile Phone after buying it.
" The Magic Mobile Phone has a purchase limit. You can tell them you want to buy ten or eight units, and they will give you a free one-year warranty. All you need to do is leave your name."
Customers who thought they were getting a good deal fell silent, fearing the store might realize someone was lying and change the service. So they pushed even harder to get in, urging those buying the Magic Mobile Phone to hurry up.
"There's a purchase limit? Let me in right now, please, Quirrell! I used to hold you when I was a kid!"
"Surely no one will be unable to buy it..."
"What? Purchase limits? This big company is bullying its customers! I'm outta here!"
"Don't just talk the talk, you're actually criticizing the Magic Mobile Phone store while trying to squeeze in, aren't you? That's so cunning."
"Damn it, you made me leave the line and now I have to queue again. You liar, I curse you to never buy the Magic Mobile Phone!"
Customers wanting to enter the store gathered near Quirrell, while onlookers and family members of potential buyers waited near Sains to watch the spectacle.
