" A Basic Introduction to the Magic Power Matrix "
Lorne suddenly realized that there was actually a solution to the problem.
Looking at the history of human civilization, the most crucial period for the surge in jobs was the Industrial Revolution, which saw a large influx of people engaged in agriculture and sericulture into cities, resulting in a multiplied increase in the number of jobs.
If the Magic Power Matrix could be mastered and mass-produced into an assembly line or factory, it would inevitably increase employment and drive the rapid development of the Wizarding World. As the economy grows, people's demands for both material and spiritual needs will naturally increase.
Of course, Lorne would always prioritize using the best things for himself first.
The production of Magic Mobile Phone is still constrained by Arthur Weasley's time and efficiency. He can produce four figures of Magic Mobile Phone in a few months, but this number is still a drop in the ocean for the Wizarding World and Lorne's goals.
Moreover, the stone tablet with the Magic Power Matrix sells for three points of Power of Emotion in the system. Although Lorne thinks this price is fair, if he wants the Magic Mobile Phone to become a common household item, he would need nearly a million points of Power of Emotion.
He's working himself to the bone and only has a few thousand points left.
The only way to achieve supply freedom for the Magic Mobile Phone in the short term is through industrialization.
" The A Basic Introduction to the Magic Power Matrix " made industrialization possible.
Lorne could already picture himself running a factory on the wasteland next to Hogwarts, with Hogwarts providing him with excellent employees, and his magical phones pouring out like shuttles on a loom.
Lorne quickly bought the book, fearing that the system store might malfunction and wipe it out for him.
The moment he got his hands on the item, Lorne felt a slight sense of relief and quickly began to peruse the contents of the book.
He didn't want to see the principles of matrices, nor did he want to learn about the magical output during matrix carving; he only wanted to see a step-by-step tutorial on disassembling the internal matrix of the Magic Mobile Phone.
Unfortunately, no.
" A Basic Introduction to the Magic Power Matrix " is really just an introduction; the few matrices with actual diagrams are used as case studies in the teaching.
It seems I was thinking too soon. Lorne sighed slightly, but it's alright. I can use this time to familiarize myself with the newly acquired etching technique and practice the Magic Power Matrix.
Once everything was back on track, Dobby would come to Lorne's General Affairs Office every night.
It was already familiar with Lorne. Although it still acted with the caution and awkwardness of House-elf, as long as its owner wasn't mentioned, Dobby could spend some time with Lorne in the General Affairs Office like a friend.
" Harry Potter is safe today, isn't he?" Dobby asks every day.
Lorne nodded patiently, afraid that Dobby impatience, Dobby would bang his head on the ground.
When you're with House-elf, they're like an extremely sensitive and insecure friend, and there's even a risk of self-harm.
" Dobby, I think you should develop some hobbies," Lorne suddenly had an idea. " Goblin are skilled in minerals and crafting, so what about House-elf?"
Dobby blinked, put down his Magic Mobile Phone, and answered, "Cooking and sweeping?"
"I meant something else," Lorne shook his head, "Not your job, but your talent. Like, are you proficient in various forms of magic, or do you know Ancient Runes?"
" Dobby isn't Runes. Dobby knows how to work, he has no hobbies, because Dobby has no freedom," Dobby said, then suddenly looked up alertly. "How dare Dobby hope for freedom? Dobby must punish himself severely."
Lorne: "..."
He can control his words, but he can't control Dobby's reaction to what he says.
"Hobbies and work don't conflict, Dobby," Lorne quickly dissuaded him. "Look, even though you work for the Malfoy family, you still have time to go to Harry's house, to the Magic Mobile Phone Shop, to the Quidditch Pitch, and now you can even come to my office..."
Dobby argued quietly, "That's not right."
Lorne ignored him. "That just means you have time. If you have time, you can develop your hobbies."
But Dobby doesn't know what his hobbies are!
Lorne glanced at the screen-off Magic Mobile Phone in Dobby's hand and smiled knowingly, "You know that."
"Do you know how popular Yaoyao is in Wizard Legend right now? Yaoyao plushies at the Magic Mobile Phone Official Flagship Store sell out instantly, and Yaoyao is a buzzword in Diagon Alley pubs," Lorne pointed at Dobby's Magic Mobile Phone, "Don't you want to be a House-elf as popular as Yaoyao?"
Dobby's eyes widened like tennis balls. " Dobby wants to!"
Lorne snapped his fingers, "This is your hobby."
"Do you remember our promise? I can start preparing you to become the most famous House-elf in advance, and I will also give you your freedom this summer, but you need to become my employee and work for me."
Dobby sat obediently on the table. " Dobby remembers."
"Alright," Lorne pulled three books from the depths of his cabinet and placed them on the table. "These are what I bought in the Muggle world. Take a look."
Dobby habitually wiped the dust off the books and glanced at the titles from the spine: " The Imagery and Accumulation of Words," " The Vowel Reduction and Rhyming," and " The Pauses and Rhythm in Beats."
Dobby looked at Lorne with a puzzled expression.
Lorne patted Dobby's head. " Yaoyao can check it out, Dobby can freestyle too!"
After appeasing Dobby, Lorne still had to carry gift boxes and deliver them to the professors' homes.
Dumbledore has to run himself ragged whenever he opens his mouth.
Professor McGonagall was quite surprised when she received the gift, seemingly shocked at when this practice had become common at Hogwarts.
"A Christmas greeting, Professor McGonagall," Lorne explained, "Every professor receives one; Professor Dumbledore asked me to deliver it."
McGonagall opened it in front of Lorne and discovered that it contained a Magic Mobile Phone.
Everyone knew about Lorne's shop, but McGonagall looked at Lorne suspiciously. "Are you sure this was a gift from Dumbledore?"
"He asked me to arrange it," Lorne said, rubbing his nose. "I found the connections."
McGonagall chuckled, "Please thank Dumbledore for me, and thank you too, Lorne, I really like this gift."
The other professors reacted similarly to Professor McGonagall; they were unaware that Hogwarts had Christmas greetings, except for Snape raised a question about it.
"Who's in charge of procuring my Potions ingredients now?"
Lorne looked up at the sky and down at the ground. "Maybe it's me."
Snape said sternly, "Then I will increase the difficulty of your final exams. I really can't understand how someone who can't even distinguish the quality of Potions ingredients dared to take on this task from Dumbledore."
Lorne was on the verge of tears; he should have arranged for Harry to deliver it for him.
As Lorne reached the door, a cold voice suddenly came from behind him. "Thank you."
He turned around in disbelief, only to find that the gift box he had placed on Snape's desk was gone. Snape was still looking down, as if the voice he had just heard had not come from him.
Lorne teased, "I'll pass that message on to Dumbledore."
"I mean," Snape finally raised half his head, his gloomy eyes sending a chill down Lorne's spine, "You two."
