Accompanying the sound was a small figure.
Professor Flitwick rode in through the doorway on a small broom, as light as a feather.
Dressed in a professor's robe, he circled around, waving his little hand, his high-pitched voice full of laughter. "How are you, children?"
This sudden appearance instantly interrupted the discussion in the classroom.
The Gryffindor students were the first to erupt in enthusiastic cheers and exclamations, with applause and whistles rising and falling.
Ron's eyes widened, and he gripped Harry's arm tightly, his voice filled with unbelievable excitement:
" Harry! Did you see that? He flew in on a broomstick! That was so cool! More exciting than Quidditch Match!"
Harry nodded vigorously, his eyes behind his glasses shining brightly.
His gaze followed Professor Flitwick intently, and he exclaimed in genuine admiration, "Incredible! He flies so steadily!"
In the back row of the classroom, several Gryffindor students huddled together, whispering amongst themselves.
"My God, that's so cool! It's just like a Quidditch Legend!"
"And he doesn't even use his hands to hold the broom, does he control it entirely with magic?"
Lavender was so excited his face turned red. " Parvati! Look! He doesn't even need to use his hands to hold the broom! What level of magic is that? It's amazing!"
Parvati nodded repeatedly, his eyes filled with admiration.
However, not everyone in the classroom was caught up in the fervor.
Draco leaned back in his chair, glancing briefly at Professor Flitwick in the air before looking away.
Hermione frowned, her gaze fixed on Professor Flitwick's flight path, and muttered to herself:
"Is flying around on a broomstick in class in accordance with Hogwarts ' school rules? What if you bump into a student or a teaching aid?"
She is always meticulous and tends to consider rules and risks first in everything she does; at this moment, she was completely unaffected by the excitement.
Neville hunched his shoulders slightly, a hint of worry in his eyes.
"Won't he... won't he fall off the broom?"
Neville's voice was filled with unease, clearly startled by the way he had made his dramatic entrance.
The Ravenclaw students opposite them reacted Gryffindor.
They didn't cheer; instead, they observed intently, discussing the technical details in hushed tones.
"Do you think he used a modified Levitation Charm to help with his balance? After all, he's too small, and the standard broom's weight-bearing design isn't suitable for him."
"I'm more inclined to believe he adjusted the frequency of his magic output. Look at his flight trajectory—it's so smooth, without the slightest jolt. That requires a very deep understanding of broom dynamics."
"And the landing cushioning magic was so precise it was almost inaudible!"
Professor Flitwick gracefully circled the classroom on his broomstick.
Then, with perfect, silent movement, he landed steadily on the thick stack of books next to the podium.
He waved his wand at the broom and whispered, " Depulso."
The small broom obediently flew to the corner and stood upright next to the cabinet.
Having done all this, Professor Flitwick cleared his throat and said in a voice higher than usual, more excited:
"Aha! I think this is much faster than climbing stairs, and it's also more effective at waking up our brains! So, children, get ready, we're about to begin today's Charms on precise control!"
The cheers from Gryffindor were still faintly echoing, and seeing that the students were still unable to calm down, Professor Flitwick first turned towards Ravenclaw.
He said, "We can discuss the flight trajectory and magical fluctuations from earlier in detail after class. I'd love to hear your analysis."
Then he turned around and smiled at the Gryffindor students, saying:
"Of course, that's on the premise that you can perfectly master today's spell! If you can't even learn the basic spells well, you're not qualified to discuss advanced magic!"
Upon hearing this, the Gryffindor students gradually calmed down, sitting up straight with excitement and anticipation in their eyes.
The classroom finally fell silent, with only the faint sound of pens scratching across paper remaining.
Professor Flitwick nodded in satisfaction, cleared his throat, and announced in a loud voice, "Alright, everyone, I think everyone knows this course is Charms, right?"
As soon as he finished speaking, the Gryffindor students burst into good-natured laughter again.
"It seems everyone has heard about the curse before!"
"But before we officially begin our lessons, let's take attendance and get to know all of you little wizards!"
As soon as he finished speaking, he raised his hand and softly called out to the bookshelf beside the podium, "The roster, Accio!"
A flash of silver light, and a thick leather register flew off the bookshelf and landed steadily in Professor Flitwick's outstretched palm.
The whole process was so smooth and fast that it was almost dazzling.
A burst of enthusiastic cheers and exclamations erupted in the classroom, and the freshmen's eyes shone with excitement.
"This is the basic application of the Accio Charm," Professor Flitwick said, waving the roster in his hand. "We'll learn it systematically later, and then everyone will be able to make whatever they want fly to their side!"
These words immediately piqued everyone's interest.
Lavender leaned close to Parvati's ear and whispered excitedly, "Oh my god! That means we can get snacks and textbooks while lying in bed! It's a lazy person's dream!"
Parvati nodded repeatedly.
Hermione couldn't help but raise her eyes, her hand unconsciously tightening its grip on her wand.
The Accio Charm is indeed extremely practical, useful in both study and daily life, no wonder it has become one of the spells students most want to learn.
Draco merely glanced at the roster, thinking to himself that everyone does the same thing.
Professor Flitwick said nothing more, opened the roster, cleared his throat, and began calling out names, " Dean Thomas!"
"Arrive!"
" Neville Longbottom!"
Neville hurriedly stood up, his voice trembling with nervousness. "Here it is, Professor!"
"Very good, please sit down." Professor Flitwick nodded with a smile and continued reading, " Parvati Patil!"
"Arrive!"
Lavender Brown!
"Exist!"
The roll call proceeded smoothly, with occasional responses echoing in the classroom, creating a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.
Until Professor Flitwick uttered that name—" Harry Potter!"
No sooner had he finished speaking than Professor Flitwick let out a scream, his small body falling backward with a thud against the bookshelf before disappearing from sight.
The classroom erupted instantly, with laughter so loud it almost lifted the roof off.
Harry sat in the back row, his face full of helplessness, and raised his hand to rub his temples.
Since enrolling, with Draco sharing the burden, he hasn't attracted much attention.
It wasn't until Charms that the professor praised him so highly in front of the whole class.
"I never thought even the professor couldn't escape the curse of getting excited when facing Harry!"
Lavender covered his mouth while teasing, laughing so hard he couldn't stand up straight.
Seamus, sitting near the podium, spotted the thick stack of books behind it and exclaimed, "Look! The professor's over there!"
