The last bite of food...
Hermione leaned back in her chair contentedly, patted her slightly bulging belly, and let out a small burp.
"Uh..." She immediately covered her mouth, her face turning red again.
Draco shook his head, smiled, and got up. He walked to Hermione's side and gently patted her back to help her catch her breath.
He then held the straw to her lips, saying, "Drink some coconut juice to help you digest. Nobody's going to take it from you, so why are you eating so fast?"
After taking a few sips of coconut juice and catching her breath, she said somewhat shyly in a low voice, "It's all your fault... it was too delicious..."
"How can you blame me for this?" Draco said, putting down the coconut and using magic to clean up the broken dishes on the table.
Then, without saying a word, he picked up Hermione, who was feeling a bit lazy because she was too full, and carried her in his arms.
"Hey! What are you doing!" Hermione exclaimed, instinctively grabbing his neck. "Put me down! I can walk by myself!"
"There will be plenty of opportunities for me to carry you to bed from now on!" Draco said possessively, carrying her steadily toward the large, soft four-poster bed. "You'll have to get used to it in advance."
He gently placed Hermione on the edge of the bed and sat her down, then knelt on one knee, his gaze level with Hermione's lower abdomen.
Before Hermione could react to what he was about to do, Draco reached out and lifted the hem of her nightgown, revealing her slightly rounded belly from eating too much.
"Look," Draco teased, pointing to the soft curve of her skin, "You've gotten so big you're like a Xiao Pi. You shouldn't eat this much at night; it's bad for your health and it affects your sleep."
"Ah! What are you doing! Put it down!" Hermione screamed in embarrassment, frantically trying to pull down her nightgown to cover herself.
Although the two are close, being stared at in the stomach and having him point at it with his finger... is too embarrassing!
Draco obediently released her hand, letting her pull her pajamas up, but his smile remained.
"I'm serious, don't eat so much at night anymore. If you want something delicious, I'll cook it for you during the day..." He got into bed himself, pulled her into his arms, and covered her with the blanket.
Nestled in his arms, feeling the fullness in her stomach, Hermione whined softly, "I know... it's all your fault, you had to make it so delicious..."
"Okay, okay, it's all my fault."
Draco readily accepted the charge.
"Mmm..." Hermione snuggled closer to him, finding the most comfortable position. After eating and drinking her fill, taking a hot bath, and being gently held in the arms of her favorite person, the ultimate comfort and sense of security made her eyelids quickly grow heavy.
" Draco..." Hermione mumbled.
"Um?"
"Good night."
Goodnight, Hermione.
Just before falling asleep, Hermione drowsily thought: If every day could be like this... it wouldn't be so bad.
In the Hospital Wing, Harry lay on the hospital bed, still feeling weak, but inexplicably relieved.
At least here, with Madam Pomfrey's iron-fisted rule, he only had to deal with the concerned companionship of his godfather Sirius, the necessary checks, and drinking strangely flavored Potions.
If we were to return to Gryffindor Tower now...
I can't even imagine that scene.
Ron's endless questions, Lavender and Parvati's screams, the twins' jokes, Neville's worried look, and the curious glances of the other classmates... He was sure his friends would be overwhelmed by enthusiasm and wouldn't be able to sleep a wink all night.
Thinking about this, Harry couldn't help but feel a little guilty towards Draco and Hermione.
Not only did the two of them save him, but now they're going to have to take the brunt of the Gryffindor Common Room's bombardment for him?
Hopefully they can handle it.
" Harry, come, have something to eat. Madam Pomfrey said you've lost a lot of blood and need to replenish your nutrition." Sirius came in carrying a tray with steaming broth, soft bread, and well-stewed vegetables.
"Thank you, Godfather." Harry took the soup bowl and quietly ate this dinner of survival with Sirius.
The ward was quiet, except for the clinking of cutlery.
For Harry had just experienced a life-or-death crisis,
This tranquility is all the more precious.
In the Gryffindor Common Room, the atmosphere of anxiety, worry, and whispers instantly froze when Professor McGonagall's serious figure appeared at the door.
All eyes were on her.
"Listen to me," Professor McGonagall said.
Mr Potter has been safely rescued and is currently receiving treatment at the Hospital Wing. His condition is stable and he is not in life-threatening danger. He needs to rest, so please do not disturb him for the time being.
Merlin!
"Very good!"
Harry's alright!
A huge cheer erupted instantly!
Ginny covered her mouth, her eyes instantly welling up with tears.
Ron jumped up from the sofa, waving his fist. "Yes! I knew it! I'm okay, buddy!"
Neville breathed a huge sigh of relief. Seamus and Dean high-fived in celebration. George Fred exchanged a glance; although he also breathed a sigh of relief, his eyes still held a hint of curiosity about the details of the adventure.
Even the usually serious Prefect Percy relaxed.
" Professor McGonagall!" Lavender pressed his way to the front, asking urgently, "What happened? Who kidnapped Harry?"
Professor McGonagall, with a stern face, replied in pre-arranged official language, "Specific details are still under investigation."
" Mr Potter was attacked by an unidentified dark wizard at Hogsmeade and subsequently imprisoned. The rescue operation, a joint effort between the Ministry of Magic and the school, has been successful. More information will be available upon official confirmation. All you need to know is that Mr Potter is now safe."
This answer failed to satisfy the little lions' insatiable curiosity, but the dean's authority prevented them from asking for further details.
At this moment, Neville timidly raised his hand and asked in a low voice, "What about Draco and Hermione? Are they alright?"
Upon hearing this, Professor McGonagall frowned slightly, her heart skipping a beat; she had assumed the two had gone to rest.
"Professor, Malfoy and Granger haven't returned."
Percy said.
Professor McGonagall was very puzzled. Where had those two children gone this time? Were they hiding in the castle?
She was utterly helpless.
Looking at these excited and curious little lions, Professor McGonagall could more or less guess why the two had hidden themselves.
Although there was a reason for it,
But it is a fact that the two did not return home at night.
Quickly adjusting her expression and maintaining her composure, Professor McGonagall offered the two a plausible excuse:
" Mr. Malfoy and Miss Granger provided crucial assistance in the rescue operation. They... have returned to the Malfoy Manor to report to Mr. Lucius Malfoy. They are safe and may be back tomorrow..."
This explanation sounds reasonable.
Upon hearing this, the Gryffindor ' feelings towards the Malfoy family became even more complicated. It seemed that the Malfoy family had indeed played a role in Harry's safe return.
Some of the younger students were even whispering among themselves:
" The Malfoy family actually did a pretty good job this time."
" The Malfoy family don't seem so bad after all..."
Parvati pursed his lips and whispered to Lavender:
"I think they're deliberately not coming back because they're afraid we'll keep interrogating them!"
"Ah, how cunning! They must want some alone time and don't want us to disturb them!" Lavender sighed.
Hearing their conversation, McGonagall's lips twitched slightly, but she said nothing. She told everyone to be quiet and not to disturb Harry's rest, then turned and left.
