Just minutes before, Lynn was kneeling on the ground, his face pale.
My temples felt like they were being pierced repeatedly by countless steel needles; the aftereffects of the Grip of Domination were still escalating.
Cold, alien energy surged through my veins, twisting and spinning everything in my vision.
The three Chaos Knight mechs in front had readjusted their formation, the red lights of the Volcano Cannon lit up one after another, and the hum of the Chainsword made the ground tremble slightly.
The two remaining small Dragon of Frost, their injured wings dragging, stood in front of him, their scales covered with charred marks from the corrosion of Chaos energy, yet they refused to retreat even a step.
A dead end.
Lynn gritted his teeth, trying to once again summon the purple Power of Domination deep within his mind, but as soon as he focused his mind...
The excruciating pain swept through his mind like a volcanic eruption, causing his vision to go black and almost making him collapse to the ground.
Having used the Grip of Domination repeatedly in a short period of time, his mental threshold was nearing its limit.
Just then, the earth suddenly trembled violently.
It wasn't the explosion of artillery fire, nor the stomping of knights and mechs, but a heavier, more profound metallic roar.
It came from the depths of the ruins on the west side of the castle, approaching step by step from afar.
"Boom!"
A section of the remaining marble wall collapsed with a crash.
Amidst the billowing smoke and dust, a massive, bright yellow knight mech slowly stepped onto the battlefield.
It stands over twelve meters tall, a full head taller than a typical knight mech.
The broad shoulder armor spreads out to the sides, and the four shoulder-sized cannons are symmetrically distributed, with the muzzles still retaining the faint red warmth of the recent firing.
The Gale Fury Missile Launcher on its back slowly rose, its honeycomb-like launch ports densely packed together, gleaming with a cold metallic luster.
The winged angel emblem engraved on the shield on the chest was enveloped in a faint golden halo, and every inch of the armor flowed with a warm, holy golden light, like the gaze of Emperor descending to earth.
The Wrath of Holy Judgement.
The St. Garus Family's Lord-class Knight Mech, a family totem that has been dormant for twenty years.
Inside the cockpit, Leo's hand gripping the control stick trembled slightly, not from fear, but from the surging anger and fighting spirit in his chest.
He had just piloted the Wrath of Holy Judgement out of the underground warehouse, rushing towards the rescue following the sound of artillery fire, when he stumbled upon Lynn being surrounded.
Seeing the Chaos Knight, etched with Tzeentch runes, trampling on the family's land, and seeing the twisted demons devouring the soldiers' corpses, Leo's rage nearly set the cockpit ablaze.
" Luna! You colluded with Chaos and betrayed your family; you deserve to die!"
Leo's voice boomed from the mecha's loudspeaker, carrying a metallic quality that sent surrounding rocks raining down.
The moment the words left his mouth, all four shoulder cannons roared deafeningly.
"Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!"
Four blazing plasma beams pierced through the smoke, like four golden dragons, crashing into the two Chaos Knight closest to Lynn.
This is no ordinary plasma weapon.
Every cannon of the Wrath of Holy Judgement has been blessed by the High Kings of the St. Garus Family throughout history, and the inner walls of the cannons are engraved with the purest prayers of the Ecclesiarchy.
Furthermore, with His gaze upon them, each cannonball is imbued with golden, sacred flames, possessing a natural, destructive restraint on Chaos creatures.
"Sizzle!"
The plasma beam struck the Chaos Knight's ion shield, but instead of creating a huge explosion, it easily merged into the shield like a flying sword entering water.
Golden holy flames surged wildly through the melted gap, seeping inwards along the seams of the armor.
The two Chaos Knight that were hit immediately let out a shrill mechanical wail, and the Tzeentch runes on their armor surfaces rapidly dimmed in the holy flames.
The Chaos flesh and blood clinging to the mecha sizzled and emitted foul-smelling black smoke.
Damn it!
Luna's pupils contracted sharply, and she instinctively took a half-step back.
She recognized the mech.
From childhood to adulthood, she had seen the image of the Wrath of Holy Judgement countless times in family records and in the murals of the castle.
That was the pinnacle of the St. Garus Family's fighting force, the exclusive vehicle of each generation's Supreme King, and a symbol of power and glory.
She had fantasized countless times about one day sitting in the cockpit of that mecha, piloting it to lead her family to a more glorious future.
To obtain it, she did not hesitate to collude with Chaos, scheme against Caladogon, or even turn against her own nephew.
But now, the mecha she had always dreamed of was standing against her.
The person driving it was Leo, whom she had never taken seriously.
On what grounds?
Why should this greenhorn be recognized by the Wrath of Holy Judgement?
Why did she give everything, only to end up abandoned by everyone?
Luna's nails dug deeply into her palms, a hint of undisguised loneliness and longing flashing in her eyes.
But that emotion lasted only a moment before being replaced by an even more intense resentment and madness.
There's no turning back for her.
From the moment she touched the Chaos, from the moment she made her wish to Tzeentch, there was no turning back.
So what if it's the Wrath of Holy Judgement? So what if it's Leo?
As long as she kills Lynn, obtains the STC fragments, and receives the blessing of the Lord of Change, she could possess not only a Fortress Lord-level Knight, but even Titan God-Machine!
"Four units, hold it off! The remaining three, kill Lynn!"
Luna swung her staff violently, and a purple-black Psychic Power Lightning bolt struck the ground, blasting a deep crater.
She refused to believe that four Chaos Knight couldn't hold off one Wrath of Holy Judgement.
Once Lynn dies, Leo will be left to fend for himself, and the mech will ultimately be hers anyway!
The four Chaos Knight that were originally attacking the small Dragon of Frost immediately changed direction, wielding their Chainsword and Power Fist, and charged towards the Wrath of Holy Judgement.
The red light of the Volcano Cannon lit up one after another, and several beams of destructive light were fired at the same time, heading straight for Leo.
Leo showed absolutely no intention of dodging.
"You bunch of scrap metal corrupted by Chaos?"
Leo sneered and reacted, controlling his Machine Spirit.
The golden aura surrounding the Wrath of Holy Judgement's body suddenly surged, forming a thick shield of holy flame.
"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!"
Four lasers struck the shield in succession, only creating four small Mars; they couldn't even penetrate the surface of the shield.
The next second, the Gale Fury Missile Launcher on its back emitted a swarm-like buzzing sound.
Hundreds of miniature missiles, trailing golden flames, rained down like a golden storm.
This is not an ordinary high-explosive warhead.
Each missile contains a trace amount of sacred flame.
The missiles landed among the demon horde, on the Cultists ' positions, and on the Chaos Knight's armor, exploding not with shrapnel, but with spreading golden flames.
"Ahhh~!"
The screams of agony rose and fell.
The demons touched by the holy flames didn't even have time to utter a wail before they were completely incinerated, from body to soul, leaving not even a trace of Warp energy behind.
The Chaos rune armor on those Cultists shattered instantly, their skin rapidly charred under the holy flames, and finally, they vanished as wisps of smoke.
In just over ten seconds, the demons and Cultists within a few dozen meters of Lynn were completely wiped out.
Even the sticky, Chaos flesh and blood on the ground were burned to ashes, revealing the clean stone slabs underneath.
