The four Chaos Knight that charged forward were now in a sorry state.
The holy flames clung to the armor, and no matter how much they swung or tried to wash it with energy, they could not be extinguished.
Flames seeped into the gaps in the armor, scorching the pilot and the Chaos flesh inside, forcing them to move in distorted ways.
"How is that possible...?"
Luna gritted her teeth, her eyes filled with disbelief.
She knew that a lord-level knight was strong, but surely not this strong?
He effortlessly took on four opponents, and also cleared out the remaining enemies from the entire battlefield.
Is this the power of St. Garus's bloodline? Or is it due to the protection of the Emperor's Holy Light?
Jealousy gnawed at her heart like a venomous snake, making it almost impossible for her to breathe.
But she quickly forced herself to calm down.
No matter how strong Leo, he's still just one person.
With the four knights engaged with him, he couldn't spare a hand to deal with Lynn.
On her side, there were still three complete Chaos Knight.
Dealing with a dozen or so small, wounded Dragon of Frost, plus Lynn, who was mentally injured and almost incapacitated, was more than enough.
He continued to summon demons!
Charge!
Luna pointed her staff, and several deep purple Warp Rift instantly appeared on the ground.
More Pink Horror, Chaos Spawn, Screamers, and even Bloodletter and Daemonette roared and pounced on Lynn.
The three Chaos Knight advanced in a triangular formation, their Volcano Cannon rapidly charging and locking onto Lynn's position.
She wanted to see what tricks Lynn could pull without the protection of the Dragon of Frost.
Lynn leaned against the broken pillar, barely managing to stand upright.
His headache was worsening, and the whispers of the Warp in his ears were becoming clearer, tempting him to use his Power of Domination once more.
But he knew very well that if he forced it again, his mind would likely collapse and he would be completely swallowed by the Warp.
Am I really going to fail here?
Just then, the sky suddenly darkened.
It wasn't the clouds that blocked the sunlight; rather, something pierced through the distorted light curtain of the Profane Barrier, plummeting towards the ground with a sharp, tearing sound.
What is that?
Lynn suddenly looked up at the sky.
Hundreds of meteors, trailing green flames, shot in through the gap in the Profane Barrier like a dense mass of shooting stars.
Their impact points were scattered, but the vast majority of them landed precisely on the Warp contaminated area of Midtown.
The timing was terribly tricky.
It happened to be right on track, during the lull between the Imperial Fleet's salvo and the cannons cooling down.
On the tracks, inside the bridge of the Gemstone.
Dominic had just ordered the artillery positions to be adjusted in preparation for a second round of bombardment of the Chaos positions in Midtown when he witnessed this scene of meteorites falling from the sky.
" Orks?!"
He slammed his hand on the armrest, his face extremely grim.
Damn Orks!
Why did they have to come at this crucial moment?
The Profane Barrier had just been breached, and the Chaos hadn't been completely cleared away. Brevis was at its most vulnerable, and yet these Orks had somehow managed to time their charge perfectly and storm in?
"Have the detection results come out yet? Is it Ragnar's main force?"
Dominic asked sharply, the veins on his forehead throbbing.
He had already been delayed for half a year due to the Warp turbulence, and he had a lot of anger to vent.
Now, things are even worse. We've just arrived in Brevis and are already facing a Chaos Siege. Just when we were about to make a breakthrough, a bunch of Orks have appeared.
Has the Calixis System stumbled upon a nest of Xenos?!
"Sir... something's not right."
The radar officer's voice carried a hint of confusion, "The landing sites of these pods... are almost all within the Chaos control zone."
"Furthermore, according to footage transmitted from the ground, these Orks, after landing... didn't fight the Imperium garrison; they went straight into battle with the Chaos forces."
"What?"
Dominic was taken aback, then quickly walked to the screen and looked at one of the few views available in Midtown.
Through the swirling smoke, one could vaguely see green figures and colorful demons locked in a fierce battle on the streets of Midtown.
The Orks's waaagh sounds mingled with the demon's shrieks, creating a chaotic mess.
Did they really fight?
The Orks and Chaos are fighting?
"Zoom in on the image!"
"Yes!"
The camera zooms in rapidly, projecting the scene of the Midtown battlefield onto the holographic screen.
Those Orks wore all sorts of armor, with uniform insignia painted on their bodies, including a cloud pattern with a horizontal slash.
Their weapons are also quite different from those of ordinary Orks; many of them have strange biological parts attached to their arms.
Some are sharp bone sickles, others are glandular cannons that can spray acid; they look disgusting, but their destructive power is astonishing.
What's even stranger is their state of mind.
Faced with the hideous and twisted demons, these Orks showed no fear whatsoever. Instead, they roared with excitement and slashed at the demons with even more fervor than at humans.
They didn't look like they were in a life-or-death battle; they looked more like children who had received a new toy, their faces full of novelty and enjoyment.
"The symbol that cuts through the clouds..." Dominic frowned. "Does Ragnar have this clan under his command?"
Before he came, he had read the Orks data on the Calixis System. The main clans under Big Stomach Ragnar were Goffs, Evil Sunz, Deathskulls.
I've never heard of any clan with a "cloud" symbol.
Where did this new Orks come from?
No one could answer his question.
At this moment, everyone's attention in front of Saint Garus Castle was drawn to the largest meteorite.
It didn't land in the Midtown, but instead, trailing a long green flame, it crashed precisely into the square in front of the castle's main gate.
"Boom!!!"
The enormous impact shook the entire castle three times, sending dust billowing into the sky and shards of rock flying hundreds of meters away.
A crater fifty meters in diameter was instantly created in the square.
At the bottom of the crater, a crooked, Orks meteorite landing capsule covered in colorful graffiti was emitting wisps of white smoke.
The hatch was kicked open from the inside with a loud bang and slammed heavily onto the ground.
A deep, resonant voice came from the smoke and dust:
"Boss! I'm here to save you!"
The next second, a tall figure strode out from the smoke and dust.
That was a giant Ogryn, standing four meters tall.
His skin was rough and grayish-green, and he wore a custom-made warlord-style Power Armour, the surface of which was covered with Orks- skinned graffiti and rivets.
What is most striking is his left arm, which is not a normal arm at all, but a composite prosthetic limb that is both mechanical and biological.
The outer layer is a cold, hard mechanical skeleton, while the inner layer is wrapped with the muscle fibers and nerve bundles of the Tyranids.
On the palm, three sharp chitinous scythes form a three-fingered claw, which is chilling to look at.
"Sizzle~"
With a casual wave of his hand, the mechanical claw easily tore a lunging Chaos Spawn to pieces.
Dark green flesh and blood splattered all over the ground, but it did not affect his movements in the slightest.
The mechanical structure on his arm emitted a soft whirring sound as gears turned, and the three scythes quickly retracted, flipped, and rearranged.
In just two seconds, the sharp claws retracted into the arm armor, replaced by a thick cannon barrel with a corrosive acid sheen at the mouth.
It was a small-scale, savage beast acid-spraying cannon.
"Bang!"
A cloud of dark green acid shot out from the cannon, arcing through the air, and struck precisely the mechanical arm of a Helbrute not far away.
"Sizzle!!"
A piercing, corrosive sound rang out.
The Helbrute's mechanical arm, enhanced by the power of Chaos, melted and broke rapidly under the corrosive effects of the strong acid, like milk ice cream exposed to sunlight.
The entire robotic arm broke off completely at the shoulder and crashed to the ground with a loud thud.
"Roar!!"
The Helbrute let out a painful roar, its unbalanced body staggering back a few steps.
All of this happened in the blink of an eye.
Lynn stared at the familiar figure for a moment, then burst out laughing.
Doudou, or rather, the peculiar hand Bean.
He was originally the captain of the Ogryn Guard, whom he recruited from the Song Offering. He was a simple, honest, and always-talking-about young man with a big, chubby face.
He initially felt that Doudou's combat strength couldn't keep up with the increasingly intense battles, so he took advantage of Toothy's trip to the Dead World A.
They sent Doudou and the team of Ogryn over there, letting them train on the Orks battlefield alongside Toothy.
With the help of my Power of Belief," this group of already strong and robust Ogryn somehow managed to integrate into the Orks community, becoming what the Orks considered the "big guys."
Doudou, with her superb "modification skills" and fearless fighting style, became Toothy warrior.
