Ch. 21The legacy of Wei Wu!

Dill used hypnosis to commandeer a ship and leave cursed Dill Island with Robin and Hina, while learning more about his Mythical Zoan abilities. After discovering his new one-million-Beli bounty and hypnotizing the captain and a sailor, he prepared to go ashore with the others and celebrate with a feast.

  • Dill hypnotized the female captain into ordering her crew to sail, and the ship departed as townspeople drowned trying to escape Dill Island.
  • Dill explained the Flame-Swallowing Lord legend to Robin and Hina, then learned that its charm ability affected married women.
  • Robin realized she had forgotten to hide her face, so Hina searched the deck for a Den Den Mushi while Robin went with her to check on Dill.
  • Dill hypnotized the captain, reassured Robin about her exposed face, and later saw that his bounty had risen to one million Beli.
  • Dill continued hypnotizing people aboard the ship for three hours, then agreed with Robin to disembark and have a big feast.

Ch. 22Poneglyph

Dill, Hina, and Robin reached a port, bought supplies, and contacted Bege to send him after the treasure on Erdi Island. While dining, Robin and Dill recognized that a book described an island whose inhabitants guarded a Poneglyph.

  • Dill reassured Robin that the hypnotized captives would be safe and planned for the three of them to leave by passenger ship the next morning.
  • Dill bought a Den Den Mushi and called Bege, telling him to take trusted men to Erdi Island and retrieve the king’s treasure and Treasure Tree Adam branches.
  • Bege was shocked that Dill had killed a king so quickly, then resolved not to fall behind and went to speak with Gunpowder and Boren.
  • Dill devoured an enormous meal while Robin read and Hina tried to find an island suitable for a vacation.
  • Hina read about an island where people guarded a stone, and Robin and Dill recognized it as a Poneglyph.

Ch. 23"Hina is unnecessary."

Dill, Robin, and Hina discussed Robin’s plan to find an unnamed island linked to Ohara’s history, then decided to search for it by seizing a cargo ship. The three settled into a hotel suite and prepared to rest before setting out.

  • Robin explained the Poneglyphs to Hina and shared the tragedy of Ohara with her.
  • Dill ate his fill in the restaurant kitchen and left without paying, planning to have Bege settle the bill later.
  • Hina condemned the Marine Vice Admiral who shelled a refugee ship and expressed disgust with the Marines.
  • Dill took Robin and Hina to a hotel, where Robin marked a rough search area for the unnamed island on a nautical chart.
  • Dill rejected Robin’s slow route plan and proposed seizing a larger cargo ship to search the area directly.
  • Dill went to his room, and Robin invited the tired Hina to take a bath.

Ch. 24The Book Thief and Narcissa

Dill, Robin, and Hina boarded Narcissa’s cargo ship after Dill persuaded the captain to give them a ride. Days later, as the ship changed course into unknown waters, Dill approached a sailor and asked whether he believed him.

  • Dill woke to shouts about a thief, then went to the harbor with Robin and Hina to find a ship.
  • Dill chose Narcissa’s cargo ship and persuaded her to take the three of them aboard.
  • Narcissa welcomed Robin and Hina, then ordered her twenty sailors to set sail.
  • Dill watched constables chase a medical-uniformed book thief along the shore as the ship departed.
  • Narcissa asked Dill to explain words in her book, and Dill called Hina over to help.
  • A sailor’s diary recorded that Narcissa changed course into unknown waters, and Dill then knocked at his cabin and asked, “Do you believe me?”

Ch. 25Oh my God, they weren't...

After Dill hypnotized the last sailor, his crew sailed toward the unnamed island while his fame and bounty grew. Robin, Hina, and Dill spotted five primitive women on the shore, and the ship approached as the women prepared to defend themselves.

  • Dill hypnotized the ship’s last sailor, bringing all twenty-one people aboard under his control.
  • Dill learned that his bounty had risen to ten million Beli, while Hina’s reached one million and Robin’s remained seventy-nine million.
  • Hina began training, while Dill fished and practiced using his abilities as the crew searched for the unnamed island.
  • Robin spotted the island to the northwest on the morning of the fifth day, and the ship changed course toward it.
  • Dill, Robin, and Hina saw that four of the five women on the beach wore no tops, and Dill decided the crew would go ashore to investigate.
  • The women spotted the approaching ship; one ran into the forest while the other four raised their spears.

Ch. 26Outsiders, we can talk!

Dill’s crew landed on the island and quickly defeated four female warriors, whom they tied up while seeking information about a guarded stone. As Dill tried to question Guerrero, a larger group of islanders arrived and offered to talk.

  • Guerrero warned Dill’s approaching ship to turn away, but Dill ordered his crew to prepare to capture the islanders alive.
  • Narcissa broke Guerrero’s spear and defeated her, while the other three female warriors were also subdued.
  • Dill ordered the four captives brought aboard and questioned Guerrero about her name and the stone, but she repeatedly told him to kill her.
  • Around fifty more female islanders emerged from the forest, and one called out that they could talk.

Ch. 27Acting Clan Leader, Sally

Dill negotiated with acting clan leader Sally to see the Moriju Clan’s Poneglyph, agreeing to take the clan’s children away while leaving hostages aboard his ship. Robin reached the stone and began translating its inscription, leaving Sally astonished that she could read it.

  • Dill offered to make a rubbing of the Poneglyph, and Sally agreed in exchange for food and for him to take the children away.
  • After learning the ship was five days from Cologne Island, Sally gave up on asking for food, and Dill required hostages before she led him to the stone.
  • Sally sent forty-one women aboard as hostages, then guided Dill, Robin, Hina, and the remaining sailors into the forest.
  • Robin found the Poneglyph and touched it, while Dill tried unsuccessfully to bite through the stone.
  • Robin began translating the inscription, and Sally was shocked that she could read it.

Ch. 28The men changed sex

Dill and Robin finished copying the Poneglyph and followed Sally toward her tribe, but they discovered a huge yak nearby and learned the tribe was suffering from a deadly illness. Sally revealed that the disease affected men most severely, prompting many of them to change sex to survive.

  • Robin translated the Poneglyph, made a rubbing, and committed its inscription to memory.
  • Dill agreed to take the tribe’s children away, and the group headed through the forest with Sally leading them.
  • Robin spotted a long-haired yak, so Dill sent her, Hina, and five sailors back to the ship for safety.
  • Sally explained that the tribe’s adults had fallen ill after eating a strange fish, while the children and elderly remained healthy.
  • Sally said the elderly refused to leave because of ancestral teachings, and Dill learned that the disease killed men quickly, leading most of the tribe’s men to change sex.

Ch. 29The Morisou Tribe

Dill learned how Morisou's Favor changed people’s sex and saw how former men continued to oppress women in the Morisou Tribe. When a white yak attacked the settlement, Dill sent Narcissa to evacuate the children and prepared to fight it himself.

  • Sally showed Dill Morisou's Favor, a green disc that changed a person's sex, and led him to the Morisou Tribe's camp.
  • Sally explained that men who had changed sex still looked down on women, and that she had become chief to keep them from oppressing the women.
  • Sally gathered the children and told them Dill could take them somewhere with food and water.
  • A white yak charged the camp, and Dill told Narcissa and the sailors to lead the children toward the shore.
  • Sally offered to stay behind and buy time, but Dill refused, erupted in flames, and warned her to avoid the crossfire.

Ch. 30The Bull Became a Cow

Dill killed the yak that had been hunting the Morisou Tribe and learned that it blamed them for accidentally changing its mate into a bull. He left with Sally and a group of children, then returned to the ship, where Robin said she might be able to cure the tribe’s disease.

  • Dill set the yak’s long hair on fire, climbed onto its back, and tore out part of its spine, killing it.
  • Dill and the tribe put out the remaining fires, and he shared the yak meat with them.
  • Sally explained that Forest’s Favor had accidentally turned the yak’s mate from female to male during mating, leading the original bull to hunt the tribe.
  • Sally declined to leave but let Dill take the children, and she accompanied them to the ship because hostages were still aboard.
  • Robin asked about Dill’s bloodied appearance, heard what had happened, and said she might be able to cure the tribe’s disease.

Ch. 31Hina doesn't want to become a man

Robin discovered that apples could cure the Moriju Clan’s muscle-dissolving illness, giving Sally hope that the adults and children could return home. After Sally gave Robin Morisou’s Favor, Hina accidentally changed into a boy and panicked, while Sally asked Robin to take some children who wanted to leave.

  • Robin read aloud that apples neutralized the toxin causing muscle dissolution, and Dill arranged for apples to be delivered from Cologne Island.
  • Robin explained the cure to Sally, who realized the Moriju Clan’s adults could recover and the children might return home.
  • Sally gave Robin Morisou’s Favor and described how its power had enabled discrimination against women in the tribe.
  • Robin accidentally held Morisou’s Favor against Hina’s forehead long enough to turn her into a boy, and Hina cried that she did not want to become a man.
  • Sally explained how Hina could change back, and Robin reassured her that holding the favor in her hand would not trigger another transformation.
  • Robin suggested returning the children to the island because the ship lacked room, and Sally asked her to take some children who wanted to leave.

Ch. 32Bro, You Smell So Good~

Dill recruited warriors from the Morisou Tribe while building belief in his many abilities, and fought the island’s second giant yak. Robin reported Crocodile’s defeat by Whitebeard, but Dill dismissed its importance to West Blue; the chapter ended with the apple ship arriving after several peaceful days.

  • Robin planned to send the children and other recruits to Cologne Island to join Karin’s ranks, while Sally took most of the children back to the tribe.
  • At the beach party, the boatswain danced with Guerrero, and later Dill made Guerrero listen to his list of desired abilities before sending for the next person.
  • By noon the next day, Dill had five more warriors under his command and fought the second white yak, eventually pulling out its spine after an hour.
  • Robin gave Dill Morisou’s Favor and told him Crocodile had challenged Whitebeard and lost; Dill said the news would not affect West Blue.
  • Dill, Hina, and Robin settled into a routine of hunting, training, hypnotizing recruits, and teaching the tribe, while Dill demonstrated his abilities to encourage belief.
  • After several peaceful days, the ship carrying apples arrived.

Ch. 33Arrangements on Cologne Island

Dill met with Geno on Cologne Island and reviewed plans to build his reputation through schools, newspapers, rumors, and comics. He then helped reverse the tribe’s transformation, while Sally prepared to leave and challenged Greber to take the Moriju Clan out to sea if he wanted to punish her.

  • Dill welcomed Brandon and Geno to Cologne Island, then told Geno to deliver apples to the tribe and update him on their projects.
  • Geno reported that the school had opened, the newspaper was starting, the rumor campaign was progressing, and the West Blue news outlet relied on a giant Den Den Mushi rather than a branch chief.
  • Dill considered using schools and stories to spread frightening tales about Kali Dill and planned to find comic artists to create a hero comic.
  • Dill and Robin went to the Morisou Tribe, where Dill treated patients and restored the men with apples and Morisou’s Favor.
  • Sally told Hina she planned to leave rather than let the Moriju Clan split over her actions, and explained why she opposed women becoming men.
  • Sally placed Morisou’s Favor on Greber and challenged him to lead the tribe out of the forest and onto the seas if he wanted to punish her.

Ch. 34I Kidnapped a Prince!

Sally and the Morisou Tribe’s children and loyal adults joined Dill’s crew as the ships left the island for Cologne Island. Dill planned a relaxing trip with Robin and Hina, but Bege’s call announced that he had kidnapped a prince.

  • Greber accepted that Sally was leaving and went into the forest to set traps for the tribe.
  • Sally gave Morisou’s Favor back to Dill, and she and Narcissa celebrated their plans to travel together.
  • Dill met privately with a newcomer, and by morning the outsiders aboard the Apple Ship had become their own people.
  • Fifty-seven children and twenty-five adults prepared to leave with Dill, while he arranged food for the Morisou Tribe’s remaining hunters.
  • Dill, Robin, and Hina discussed traveling and their dreams as the two ships sailed away from the island.
  • Bege called Dill and announced that he had kidnapped a prince.

Ch. 35I Request to Withdraw from This Operation!

Dill learned that Bege had kidnapped a crown prince and agreed to help, despite wanting to enjoy his free time. After leaving Narcissa’s cargo ship with Robin and Hina, he boarded a passenger ship bound for the island where Gunpowder and Boren were waiting.

  • Bege told Dill that he had kidnapped a crown prince and gave him the location where Gunpowder and Boren were waiting.
  • Dill agreed to help Bege and planned to find a submarine builder in the North Blue after the operation.
  • Robin said they would travel to a small island near Thriller Bark, and she teased Hina about ghosts and vampires until Hina asked to withdraw.
  • Three days later, Dill, Robin, and Hina parted ways with Narcissa’s cargo ship, changed their faces, and boarded a passenger ship.
  • Dill and the others settled into a luxury suite for the two-day voyage to Mist Island.

Ch. 36Mist Island

Dill, Robin, and Hina arrived at Mist Island and traveled through its dangerous fog to find Gunpowder and Boren. There, Dill met a shy boy whose father had marked him with a symbol of a king, and asked whether he trusted him.

  • Dill spent two days aboard the passenger ship sampling food and searching for a familiar shaved head, but he did not find him.
  • Robin told Dill and Hina that they were nearing Mist Island, near Thriller Bark.
  • Hina feared a floating figure at the harbor was a ghost, but Dill pointed out that it was a person under a sheet.
  • Dill, Robin, and Hina bought demon masks and took a dog-drawn carriage to the Mist Forest, where they followed its boundary rope to Gunpowder and Boren's tent.
  • Dill met a boy with a stitched-looking symbol on his forehead, examined its design, and asked whether the boy trusted him.

Ch. 37Wolf Vlad

Dill learned that Wolf Vlad was the fugitive prince of the Trancy Kingdom and encouraged him to declare his determination to defeat Tia. Dill and his companions brought Vlad to Thriller Bark, where Robin’s disguise let him pass a search for the missing prince unnoticed.

  • Vlad explained that Tia had seized the throne after the old king died, and that only Vlad’s living forehead mark could open the treasury’s secret chamber.
  • Dill questioned Vlad about reclaiming the throne, then pushed him to loudly proclaim that he would defeat Tia and become king.
  • Dill brought Vlad along, bought demon masks for the group, and boarded a passenger ship with his companions for Thriller Bark.
  • At Thriller Bark’s harbor, Robin disguised all six travelers, allowing them to remove their masks without the soldiers recognizing Vlad.
  • A soldier told the group that Earl Tia was offering fifty million Beli for Vlad and warned them about unusual activity in the western cemetery.

Ch. 38A ghost!!

Dill and his companions began a plan to oppose Tia, using Vlad’s popularity to win support among the soldiers while Robin investigated strange reports at the cemetery. Robin’s team learned that real ghosts had appeared there two years earlier, and Hina spotted something behind a bereaved visitor.

  • Dill and his companions agreed to infiltrate the palace, win over soldiers, and consider raising an army in Vlad’s name.
  • A constable tried to frighten Dill but was hypnotized after Dill asked whether he trusted him.
  • Dill began recruiting support with Vlad’s help, while Robin, Hina, Gunpowder, and Boren searched the cemetery for the source of unusual occurrences.
  • A man in a top hat told Robin that gravestones had recently been cut with unusual precision and that real ghosts had appeared in the cemetery two years earlier.
  • Hina pointed behind the man and shouted that she saw a ghost.

Ch. 39Negative Hollow!

Robin and Hina searched Thriller Bark’s cemetery for the source of its ghosts and learned that gravestones had recently been damaged by an unknown force. Meanwhile, Dill investigated the island’s military forces and considered how to deal with the Blood Descendant Force, before Hina returned with news of their encounter.

  • A ghost made a local man collapse into despair when he touched it, and Robin decided to investigate the ghosts’ source.
  • Robin, Hina, Gunpowder, and Boren searched the cemetery, learned that gravestones had been cut the previous afternoon, and failed to catch any ghosts.
  • Dill learned that Thriller Bark’s forces consisted of the Zombie Force, the Kappa Force, and the Blood Descendant Force, which had about two thousand members.
  • Dill sent a zombie constable back to bring another recruit and wondered how many members of the Blood Descendant Force were enemies.
  • Hina returned to Dill and announced that she and the others had encountered ghosts.

Ch. 40Perona, the Offering Thief

After luring Perona to a cemetery with teddy bears and food, Dill confronted her and tried to recruit her by offering a giant teddy bear. When an attacker raised a cleaver behind Perona, Dill rushed in to protect her and recognized the figure as a familiar bald monk.

  • Hina told Dill and Robin about the ghosts she had seen in the cemetery, and Dill realized Perona might be nearby.
  • Dill and Robin waited by a gravestone with a teddy bear and sandwich, hoping Perona would come to collect them.
  • Perona took the teddy bear and sandwich, then followed Dill’s offer of a person-sized teddy bear with interest.
  • Perona summoned Negative Hollows to take the large teddy bear, but Dill used flames to threaten it until she withdrew her ability.
  • Dill warned Perona about an attacker behind her, then caught the attacker’s cleaver and recognized the bald monk holding it.
