broken!
They're really after me.
Qin Ze looked around blankly.
Who is the Chosen One?
Where is it?
"Let me see it quickly."
bass--
The Saber King raised his hand and slashed down, the blade hovering above Qin Ze's scalp.
Qin Ze felt a chill run down his spine, and managed a forced smile.
You've really mistaken me for someone else.
The Saber King gazed into Qin Ze's eyes, then sheathed his sword after a moment.
"Good talent, already level two so quickly."
A look of relief appeared on the Saber King's face, but a hint of expectation lingered in his eyes.
"Is this old idiot Face Changing tune so easily?"
"Chun Chun is mentally ill. One second she's shouting for violence, the next she's sheathing her weapon."
"Does Level Nine Martial Artist mean you can toy with others at will? Once we become Level Nine Martial Artist, we'll teach him a lesson he won't forget."
"Um... level 4.5 at most, no more than that."
You look down on my talent?
"Nonsense, do you think I don't know your talent?"
"..."
The clones kept nagging and complaining, clearly very unhappy with the Saber King.
Qin Ze was unsure of the Saber King's purpose and did not dare to make any rash moves.
"My talent is average; I just use the time others spend drinking coffee to meditate."
The clones. "..."
The Saber King nodded in satisfaction. "As the Chosen One, you cannot slack off."
"By the end of this semester, you should at least have broken through to the Intermediate Martial Artist."
With that, the Saber King tossed three Soul Orb to Qin Ze.
"Grade A Soul Orb have no abilities, but they have all been purified."
"That's enough for your training this semester."
A hint of suspicion flashed in Qin Ze's eyes.
How could someone who's not related to you at all give such a large gift on your first meeting?
Immediately afterwards, the Saber King took out a blue crystal the size of a baby's fist and handed it to Qin Ze.
" Source Crystal."
"Carrying it with you every day can slowly restore a small amount of your Source of Life."
"Although I don't know why you have so many sources, everyone has their own secrets, and I'm too lazy to pry."
"Time is running out for us, not only for the world, but also for your own survival. You must become stronger quickly."
The Saber King said something that left Qin Ze completely bewildered, then turned and tore through the void.
"Remember."
"We martial artists should uphold justice for the world and secure a future for the people."
Having said that, the Saber King stepped into the void and disappeared.
On the Local Area Network, Brother Devour said, "You can't hide the look in someone's eyes when they want to kill you. The first time he saw you, he definitely wanted to kill you."
Qin Ze, of course, noticed it too.
However, the knife never came down.
Qin Ze was unclear about why the Saber King wanted to kill him, nor did he know what had suddenly changed his mind and caused him to spend so lavishly.
However, he had a vague feeling that it might be related to his status Chosen One.
"The old man is quite generous."
Qin Ze weighed the Source Crystal in his hand.
Tonight was a real haul.
As night fell, the remaining four members of the professional team were sprinting at top speed.
Not long ago, Qin Ze sent a coordinate to the fat man via text message.
They said that Brother Jie's body was there, and told them to retrieve it before the wild dogs arrived.
"That block ahead is the coordinates Brother Ze mentioned."
The fat man, panting heavily, ran ahead and led the way.
As they rounded the bend, they were instantly stunned by the scene before them.
The entire block in front was reduced to ruins.
All was quiet, with only the night breeze whispering in my ear.
The ruins of the building are littered with various mechanical wrecks.
The well-preserved wreckage reveals that these were all robots.
The ravaged and dilapidated buildings, along with the shell casings scattered everywhere, clearly indicate that a fierce battle had taken place not long ago.
What puzzled the professional team was that, apart from the robot wreckage, there was not a single human corpse to be found at the scene.
" Fan Mingjie is here."
Huai Xu was the first to find Brother Jie.
Fan Mingjie leaned against the wall, his empty eyes gazing at the night sky, his face full of grievance and resentment.
"A penetrating wound to the chest, fatal in one blow."
" The Sidelines of the wound are charred black, like some kind of energy weapon."
Wen Jing bent down and performed a simple autopsy on Brother Jie.
"Where did these robots come from?" Lu Tongtong couldn't help but ask.
Wen Jing shook his head. " Fan Mingjie seems to have died at the hands of these robots."
"Besides them, there was another group of people at the scene."
"These people are very professional; they didn't leave anything behind."
The fat man said calmly, " Brother Ze told us to retrieve Fan Mingjie's body. We're leaving."
The fat man hoisted Brother Jie onto his shoulder, and the group began to leave the battlefield.
Wen Jing was filled with doubts.
Qin Ze Zeming had been in the gymnasium the whole time; how did he find out about Fan Mingjie?
If it was Law Enforcement, why wasn't the scene cleaned up after the fight, and why was Fan Mingjie's body left behind?
Wen Jing couldn't understand it.
Qin Ze's intelligence was always very timely.
It seemed he could know about every little thing happening in the entire Pearl City immediately.
But Qin Ze always stayed with them.
Could it be that they possess superhuman eyesight and superhuman hearing?
Qin Ze returned to the hotel earlier.
They are currently waiting in the fat man's room for the professional team to return.
Didi--
As the room key beeped, the fat man carrying a sack walked into the room first, followed closely by Lu Tongtong and the other two.
" Brother Ze, he's here."
The fat man untied the sack, revealing Brother Jie's head.
Qin Ze waved his hand dismissively. "Pack it up, take it to the company tomorrow, and our mission will be over."
Huai Xu poured himself a glass of water and drank it all in one gulp.
"Tonight was truly thrilling."
Wen Jing asked, "What happened in the gymnasium afterwards?"
Lu Tongtong also cast a curious glance at Qin Ze.
The barrier opened after they left the sports facility.
However, they were very fast and were not trapped by the barrier.
Qin Ze then recounted what happened next to the four of them.
They omitted their own role in the story and gave all the credit to the Saber King.
" The Saber King actually came? But wasn't he arrested by the Sea Capital Law Enforcement?" Lu Tongtong asked in confusion.
Qin Ze said calmly, "It's just for show, to impress outsiders."
" The Saber King has been defying orders, and the pressure on the Sea Capital Law Enforcement is immense. It's likely that he and the Grand Consul were just putting on a show, going through the motions."
Huai Xu slapped his thigh in regret.
"I should have stayed. I've never seen a live Level Nine Martial Artist before."
Level Nine Martial Artist have always been legendary figures, rarely showing their faces in public.
To see them, one almost always has to go to the Abyss, specifically the most dangerous place in the deepest Abyss.
Wen Jing asked, "How did you know Fan Mingjie died there?"
"The scene was littered with robot wreckage, indicating the presence of another group, but they erased all traces."
Qin Ze casually made up an excuse. "A Law Enforcement officer on night patrol is a friend of mine. He saw it and told me, so he's doing me a favor."
"The battle was already over when he arrived at the scene. I don't know who that group of people you're talking about is either."
Huai Xu gave a thumbs up. "He's still the boss; his connections are truly extensive."
Wen Jing simply thought the reason was lame, but he had no evidence to back it up.
Everyone's pretty tired tonight, get some rest.
"Let's go have some fun after we hand in our assignment tomorrow."
Qin Ze changed the subject.
Fatty and Huai Xu immediately started discussing where to go for some fun.
As night deepened, everyone returned to their rooms.
Brother Devour and Giant Overlord were already waiting in Qin Ze's bedroom.
