"What do you want to say?" the tall Person in Black Robes asked. "Since you managed to bring him out for me today, I can give you a chance to speak your last words."
Dharma King spoke earnestly. "I want to join you."
Tall Person in Black Robes: (☉_☉)
Other black-robed men: (゜-゜)⊙_☉)⊙▽⊙(°ー°〃)
After a long silence, the tall Person in Black Robes asked, "Are you serious?"
Dharma King nodded. "Truer than Ding Zhen."
The tall Person in Black Robes frowned and pondered.
His CPU was overheating a little.
He had only meant to kill Dharma King to prevent any mishaps later.
He had not expected the man to suddenly ask to join his team.
After all, he was a gifted ability user with potential, so he was hard to turn down.
"Eat this first."
The tall Person in Black Robes tossed Dharma King a small black box containing a little red pill.
"Intestine-Piercing Belly-Rotting Powder. If you don't take the antidote within three days, all your internal organs will rot."
"As long as you behave yourself, I'll give you the antidote in three days."
Dharma King took the pill and examined it.
Bro, you're serious?
Seeing this, the tall Person in Black Robes sneered. "Why aren't you eating it?"
"Weren't you just saying you wanted to join us? Looks like your heart isn't sincere enough."
"Who said I wouldn't eat it..." Dharma King suddenly pointed to the sky with his right hand. "Look, a plane!"
The black-robed men: →_→
The tall Person in Black Robes said, "Do you really take us for idiots? Since you won't eat it, I'll feed it to you myself."
Two black-robed men stepped forward and blocked Dharma King's escape.
"Look, there's someone behind you!" Dharma King cried again.
Veins bulged on the tall Person in Black Robes' forehead. He could bear it no longer.
"You've completely exhausted my patience, you little bastard!"
Whoosh-
A sound of something slicing through the air suddenly rang out above them.
The two black-robed men blocking Dharma King from behind were pinned to the ground by longswords.
"Who's there?"
The tall Person in Black Robes spun around, bracing himself for a formidable enemy.
Dharma King spread his hands helplessly. "Why does nobody believe me when I tell the truth?"
"Fairness Society, you've finally shown yourselves." Teacher Yao emerged from the depths of the forest with a group of law enforcers.
Dharma King froze.
Why is Teacher Yao here?
She even seemed to be their leader; all the law enforcers around her followed her lead.
Dharma King could not help muttering to himself, So Teacher Yao, with those thick brows and big eyes, is actually a law enforcer?
Six.
These days, even members of other races could serve as law enforcers for their own race.
The tall Person in Black Robes narrowed his eyes. "I thought I'd been careful enough this time, but you still managed to find us."
"Tell me where the key is, and I can give you a quick death." Teacher Yao turned her wrist, and a blue longsword appeared in her hand.
"Looks like you didn't get any useful information out of Wang Biao. He really does have a tight mouth." The tall Person in Black Robes grinned.
"Unfortunately, Wang Biao is the only one who knows about the key."
"He said he'd tell whoever rescued him where the key was."
"Otherwise, why do you think we went through so many hardships to save a traitor?"
"Though in a sense, he is indeed a hero striving for fairness."
Teacher Yao felt a little disappointed by the answer.
Her plan to obtain the key had fallen through, but as long as Wang Biao was still around, she could pry it out of him one day.
Today's haul was already considerable.
The Fairness Society, which appeared and disappeared like ghosts, had been caught in the open.
These people accounted for at least half of the Fairness Society's forces in Jiang City.
Once they were dealt with, her main objective would be accomplished.
"Execute them all. Leave no one alive."
At Teacher Yao's command, the law enforcers each chose a target and charged into battle.
Teacher Yao and the tall Person in Black Robes had a clear target—Wang Biao, inside the sack.
The black-robed men had gone through great trouble with this operation, all to rescue Wang Biao.
For Teacher Yao, although Wang Biao was bait, he was still useful and could not be lost.
Seeing the two martial artists, both radiating a powerful aura, charging toward him at the same time, Dharma King felt a little shaky.
"I just remembered I left the gas on at home. Let's meet again another day!"
Dharma King hurled the sack off his shoulder, then turned into lightning and fled into the distance.
Teacher Yao and the tall Person in Black Robes both reached for the sack, ignoring a small fry like Dharma King entirely.
The tall Person in Black Robes grabbed it first, then looked up to see Teacher Yao slashing at him with her sword.
With a casual swing, he tossed the sack under a tree.
Boom-
The tall Person in Black Robes shook both arms, unleashing the fourth layer of the Fate Reversal Technique at full power.
Like a crazed baboon, he rained a barrage of punches down on Teacher Yao.
Teacher Yao kept blocking with the flat of her sword as she retreated at high speed.
"So this is all a judge from the Law Enforcement Department amounts to!"
"A mere ant dares to fish for a tiger?"
Teacher Yao, however, remained unhurried.
Although she appeared to be on the defensive the entire time, she handled every block with ease.
In just two minutes, the tall Person in Black Robes threw more than a hundred punches, yet failed to so much as touch the hem of Teacher Yao's clothes.
"If this had been ten days ago, before I made my breakthrough, you might have stood a chance."
"Unfortunately for you, I can suppress you with one hand now."
The next second, Teacher Yao's aura, unique to a level-four martial artist, erupted and enveloped the entire battlefield.
"Level Four Adjudicator!"
The tall Person in Black Robes panicked a little.
A Level Four Adjudicator had actually appeared in a backwater like Jiang City, where birds didn't even bother to shit.
He finally realized that Teacher Yao had come for their group.
He had thought the law enforcers had learned of a clue to the key and were preparing to kill Wang Biao to silence him.
Little had he known that they were the targets.
Bang!
Teacher Yao sent the Person in Black Robes flying with a slash of her sword.
"Cough, cough, cough..."
The Person in Black Robes coughed up mouthfuls of blood. A gruesome wound had opened across his chest, deep enough to expose bone.
"I understand now..."
"You're afraid we'll ruin your good thing with the Maka Race."
"But we're not all of the Fairness Society in Jiang City."
The Person in Black Robes' skin suddenly turned red, and he shouted, "Fight for fairness!"
Whoosh-
A flash of white light passed, and Teacher Yao severed the tall Person in Black Robes' head. Her sword was so fast that he did not even have time to self-destruct.
The other black-robed men were soon dealt with as well, not a single one left alive.
Teacher Yao put away her longsword, walked over to the tree, and crouched to untie the sack.
"Hm?"
"Is the fight over?"
A head wearing a hyena mask poked out of the sack. Yangyang even gave a lazy yawn.
"Where's Wang Biao?!"
Teacher Yao's gaze sharpened.
This is bad.
Wang Biao was gone.
That minotaur had clearly carried the sack the whole way. When had they switched the person inside?
Teacher Yao could not figure it out.
"In that case, my mission is complete."
As soon as he finished speaking, the hyena man's skin rapidly turned red.
He was too close. Teacher Yao had no time to draw her sword.
"Get do-"
Rumble-
A Patrick Star rose from the ground.
When the dust settled, Teacher Yao got to her feet, covered in dirt.
Looking at the large crater left by the self-destruction, she could not help gritting her teeth.
"Hater Circus..."
Meanwhile, by a lake near Cloud Mountain.
Qin Ze leaned against a rock, lazily basking in the sun, with a fishing rod beside him.
Splash-
Brother Devour suddenly emerged from the water with a sack on his back.
