Is the infinitely possible future due to an infinite number of clones?
Qin Ze thought about it for a moment, then realized that wasn't the reason.
There are many cattle and horses, but their future is already predetermined.
Especially the old guys in the Self-Destruct Squad, their survival time is comparable to that of a mayfly.
Can't they see a future for them either?
Hundred Eyes's words clearly had a deeper meaning.
Qin Ze said, "If you can't see the future, then help me look at the past."
"I have a very forgetful memory, this is a good opportunity for me to recall."
Hundred Eyes said softly, "For more than a decade before you became a martial artist, your life was unremarkable. The upheavals began after you became a martial artist."
"I used to be able to see it very clearly, but ever since you left the Land of Origin, your trajectory has become shrouded in mist, and even time itself cannot be discerned."
Qin Ze subtly probed, wanting to know what Hundred Eyes thought of him before he became a martial artist.
At that time, he had not yet traveled through time.
Miss Sword Case detected the keywords and instantly turned on the device.
"Have you been to the Land of Origin? When?"
Qin Ze explained, "It's the one I told you about before."
"I went in without really understanding what was going on, and I left without really understanding what was going on."
Upon hearing this, Miss Sword Case's excitement immediately subsided.
Qin Ze comforted him, "If you can go in once, you can go in two or three times. Don't be impatient."
Miss Sword Case rallied again. "Yes! Nothing can defeat our best friends team!"
Qin Ze looked up and met Hundred Eyes's gaze. "So, is it possible that there are transmigrators who can cross world dimensions and travel through time? And you can't see such transmigrators?"
Hundred Eyes said meaningfully, "The time traveler you're talking about, you're not referring to yourself, are you?"
Qin Ze straightened his chest and raised his head. "That's right! I am a transmigrator who doesn't belong to this world, or even this timeline!"
"Beyond Chaos, and outside the five elements!"
Hundred Eyes remained silent for a long time.
After posing for a while, Qin Ze suddenly felt a little awkward.
He shook his hand, pretending nothing had happened.
After a moment, Hundred Eyes clicked his tongue in amazement. "For someone your age to utter such childish remarks... you're sick."
"Nothing in the universe can escape the framework of Chaos."
"Within this basic framework, time travelers would not exist."
You can understand it as... the underlying code doesn't allow it.
Qin Ze frowned.
He's not a time traveler? How is that possible?
Qin Ze was absolutely certain that in his life before the age of eighteen, there were no martial artists, no strange beasts, and certainly no Abyss...
He woke up one morning to find himself transported to this parallel world.
The clones on the Local Area Network were equally incredulous.
"Is it possible that Qin Dog really is mentally ill, and that his condition is very serious, and that everything he's experiencing is a figment of his delusions?"
"Hiss~ Does that mean he's still lying unconscious in a mental hospital, and this is just his fantasy world?"
"Fake! Fake! It's all fake!"
"There's no such thing as Lightning Dharma King; he's just a doctor who electrocuted you and then imagined him as a savior."
"Hey! Wake up right now!"
"This is fine too, isn't it more interesting than being in a mental hospital?"
"..."
Qin Ze felt himself sinking deeper and deeper into a vortex.
If he wasn't a time traveler, then what about the memories of the past eighteen years from another world?
"Could it be... that I'm really insane?"
He gradually began to question his mental state.
Miss Sword Case noticed something was wrong and quickly asked, " Qin Ze, what's wrong?"
Miss Sword Case's words were like a gentle breeze, pulling Qin Ze, who was about to "drown," back up.
Brother Devour said calmly, "There's no need to worry about this now. We're just a few hairs' breadth away from becoming gods."
"Or perhaps one day, after we've obtained the Hundred Eyes Soul Orb, we can personally uncover the truth."
The Dharma King chuckled, "Not quite awake yet? Let this doctor give you a Thunderbolt boost to perk you up."
Qin Ze snapped out of his rut and replied to Miss Sword Case, "It's nothing, I was just thinking about something."
Seeing that Qin Ze had returned to normal, Miss Sword Case breathed a sigh of relief, "That's good."
Hundred Eyes looked down at Qin Ze: "You seem quite interested in the matter of transmigrators."
"Although I don't know what similar things you encountered in your hidden life, I can tell you definitively that the kind of time traveler you're talking about absolutely does not exist."
Qin Ze said softly, "Perhaps."
He stared directly into the enormous eye in the sky. "Why are you telling me all this?"
"In a sense, we are on the opposite side."
Those eyes narrowed into slits again with a smile, "You can consider this my investment in you."
Qin Ze frowned. "Invest in me?"
He straightened up and looked into the distant void.
"Someone once tried desperately to change the ailing Chaos."
"But both the Star God and the Strange God strongly opposed that person's actions."
"Without a doubt, he ultimately failed."
"But he wasn't willing to accept it; he wasn't willing for it to end like this."
"So he took the initiative and left a contingency plan for ten thousand years later, hoping to use it to reverse the tide."
Qin Ze listened intently. "And then?"
Hundred Eyes said calmly, "And then it was just the same old story, repeating the same mistakes. I still see his future failure."
Qin Ze was silent for a moment, then said, "The 'him' you're talking about, is it the Desolate God?"
Hundred Eyes neither admitted nor denied it, but instead said to himself, "Whether it's you, me, or even the Myriad Races of the Abyss, we are all part of his contingency plan to reverse the course of events."
"But you didn't follow the path he laid out for you; you took a wrong turn."
A light flickered in that eye. "It was this fork in the road that changed the course of events."
"If it were you, perhaps you could really end all of this."
"By then, my investment will have paid off."
The sheer volume of information caused Qin Ze's brain to freeze for a moment.
Hundred Eyes smiled and said, "It's about time. We should end this conversation."
With a gentle blink, time resumed its flow.
But time is flowing backward, and nothingness is spreading rapidly outward.
Wherever it goes, the world returns to its original state.
It's as if a giant hand is wielding a brush, painting mountains and rivers, birds and beasts, and applying vibrant colors to the void.
"Where are the people of the Spirit Eye Empire? Did you sacrifice them?"
Qin Ze voiced the question that had been troubling him for a long time.
Hundred Eyes replied, "Of course it was eaten by the Nether Sparrow. Otherwise, how do you think it has managed to survive until now?"
Qin Ze was surprised that even though the Nether Sparrow was inside a jar, it could still touch people outside.
But Hundred Eyes said, "The authority of God is unpredictable; anything is possible."
The reversed flow of time reshaped the portal to space, right above Qin Ze's head.
Qin Ze soared into the air. "Next time we meet, I'll still take your Soul Orb."
Hundred Eyes said calmly, "Welcome."
As it spoke, the eye gradually became ethereal and transparent until it disappeared.
