Steel fragments, engulfed in flames, flew in all directions, threatening to crash into the crowd escaping through the tunnel.
Chen Mo raised his hand, and his mental power instantly covered the area, compressing all the fragments and flames into a single point.
Yelena looked up at the scene, her chest still heaving violently.
How do you become so powerful?
"Go to bed early and get up early," Chen Mo said as he slowly descended with her. "Eat less snacks and more nutritional supplements."
The two landed in front of the evacuation route.
The surviving soldiers had just gotten up from the aftershocks of the tank explosion when they saw Chen Mo fall from mid-air. Some gripped their rifles tightly, some instinctively retreated to the back of the trenches, and others looked at Yelena to confirm whether the black figure that had fallen from the sky was an enemy or reinforcements.
Before they could ask any questions, heavy footsteps suddenly came from behind the broken trench.
One after another.
Mud splashed to both sides with each step, and several tall men in black military uniforms emerged from the dust. Their uniforms had been specially modified, with dark metal plates covering the shoulders and chests, and prominent imperial insignia embroidered on the cuffs.
The man at the front was nearly two meters tall, with shoulders as broad as a wall. He carried no weapon, his hands hanging naturally at his sides, his gaze passing over Chen Mo and landing on Yelena.
"Hand her over."
Behind the man, a Mutants who speaks Russian translates for him.
"The Empire is willing to grant higher status to the truly strong. As long as you cease interfering in this war, you can possess an army, territory, and power second only to the Supreme Leader."
Yelena clenched her fists.
Several Soviet soldiers nearby turned pale; if this guy defected to the other side, they would all be finished.
Chen Mo did not answer.
His senses bypassed the people before him, sweeping over the fluctuations of their lives one by one.
The energy levels of the Mutants on the outer edge were not significantly different. Some had arms covered in silver-gray metal, with sharp bone blades constantly popping out from their joints; others had high-temperature steam emanating from the pores of their skin, causing the surrounding mud and water to evaporate rapidly upon approach; and a gaunt man stood at the very back, his eyes glowing with a dark red light, as scattered shell fragments on the ground slowly rose with his breath.
The only one truly noteworthy is the leading double-door the Fridge.
His life energy far surpassed that of others; his muscles, bones, and nerves had all been greatly enhanced, with a density far exceeding that of the Tank Class cyborgs he had previously devoured.
Chen Mo looked at him, then glanced at the black military uniforms around him, and spoke in German.
"I'd rather not switch jobs."
Chen Mo continued, "I especially don't want to go to a company that's about to go bankrupt and work with a bunch of self-important barbarians. You don't really think you're so superior, do you?"
The translator's expression changed.
The leader's expression gradually darkened after hearing this.
"Kill him."
Metal fragments scattered in the mud suddenly rose into the air.
Hundreds and thousands of shrapnel projectiles came from all directions, their sharp whistling sounds echoing through the air. High-temperature steam followed closely behind, white shockwaves covering the ground, while a mental shock silently pressed down on Chen Mo from behind, attempting to tear his consciousness apart.
Chen Mo stood still.
Black and red armor spread from the neck to the entire body.
The moment the mental shock entered his sea of consciousness, it was directly shattered by an even greater layer of mental power. The gaunt man groaned, blood seeping from all seven orifices simultaneously, and the suspended shrapnel lost control, falling downwards one after another.
Chen Mo raised his hand, and all the metal fragments stopped less than half a meter away from him.
"The psychological attack was quite creative, and so was the way he died."
He pushed forward with all five fingers.
The metal shrapnel changed direction and shot back with a piercing shriek. The Mutants with the silver-gray arms had just raised his arms when dozens of shrapnel pierced through his shoulders and knees, pinning him to the broken wall.
The high-temperature steam was forced back into the body by telekinesis.
The man's face flushed red rapidly, and just as he was about to scream, Chen Mo grabbed his neck from a distance and crushed him to death.
Two Superman in black military uniforms charged at us from the left and right simultaneously.
Their speed wasn't fast, but their strength was astonishing. Before their hands even got close, a whistling wind swept over them. They grabbed Chen Mo's arms from both sides, trying to hold him in place.
Chen Mo let them capture him.
The next second, he exerted force with both arms simultaneously.
He dragged the two Superman off the ground, their bodies colliding in mid-air. The metal armor dented, and the sound of bones cracking echoed.
"Good teamwork."
Chen Mo tossed the two men away into the distance.
"Next time, remember to tell me the names of the dishes first, so it'll be easier for me to keep track of the bill."
Directly in front, the strongest cyborg finally moved.
With each step he took, a crack appeared in the ground. In just a few steps, he was in front of Chen Mo, his right fist, glowing with azure light, slamming towards Chen Mo's chest.
Chen Mo did not dodge; his azure fist collided with the black and red armor.
boom!
The violent shockwave spread outwards instantly, sweeping through the nearby trenches as if they had been slammed by a giant hammer, hurling several meters of soil and gravel into the air. Several soldiers who couldn't dodge in time were blown away.
Chen Mo stood there, patting the dust off his chest.
The cyborg took two steps back, his fists hanging limply, his eyes filled with shock.
"Not bad strength."
He looked up and smiled.
"But didn't you eat dinner? That punch didn't even wrinkle my clothes."
The man stood there, his eyes still filled with disbelief.
"How is this possible? Even Siegfried wasn't this strong! This is impossible!"
He roared and charged again.
Chen Mo's figure flashed.
The Battleship Class cyborg's fist missed its target, leaving a deep crater in the mud beneath his feet. He had just looked up when he saw Chen Mo falling from above.
The black figure stepped on his shoulder, using the momentum to change direction, and then landed a foot on his head.
Boom!
The entire ground collapsed downwards.
Half of the Battleship Class cyborg's body was crushed into the mud by Chen Mo, and several cracking sounds could be clearly heard. The powerful impact spread along the ground, and several huge cracks extended into the vicinity.
Chen Mo stood in the center of the crack.
His foot pressed down on the other man's head, and dark red blood vessels had already seeped into the shattered armor.
The Battleship Class cyborg grabbed Chen Mo's ankles with both hands, his arm muscles bulging as he tried to push Chen Mo away.
But that foot didn't move an inch.
Chen Mo looked down at him, the smile on his face unchanged.
"Now we can have a proper talk."
Black and red streaks of blood continued to spread inward along the shattered armor.
"What's your life worth anyway?"
