Under the cover of night.
Outside a S.H.I.E.L.D.. base, a figure crouched in the bushes, cautiously peeking out.
Thor peeked out from the bushes, looked around for a few seconds, and only after confirming that there were no guards nearby did he pull out a simple hand-drawn map from his pocket.
The map was drawn by Erin.
There is only one crooked route, two entrances, and a conspicuous red circle.
Next to the red circle, there was a line of smaller text.
Loki is probably locked up here.
The intelligence came from Chen Mo's friendly support.
Inside the monitoring room.
Several people stared simultaneously at Thor's prominent image on the thermal screen, and the enlarged map in his hand.
Tony had just finished showering; his hair was still a little wet, and he had changed into a clean suit, but his face still looked very sour.
He pointed at the screen and asked, "What is this rectangle?"
Chen Mo looked at it carefully.
"This must be the base, right?"
"I know it's a base, but I'm asking why the base is only a rectangle?"
"Perhaps it's to make it easier for Thor to understand."
"What about these circles around it?"
"Emnnnn, guard?"
"Do they think Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. only have heads and no bodies?"
Chen Mo nodded. "There's no need to focus on too many details when infiltrating; it can easily affect your confidence."
Fury sat beside him, his face dark, but no one could tell much of a change in his expression.
Steve stared at the map, looking somewhat confused.
"Etc."
He turned to Chen Mo: "Wasn't Thor here to break him out of prison? Why are we sitting here watching him?"
Chen Mo glanced at him.
"Captain, you've finally gotten to the point."
So what is the answer?
"We're doing this to help him build confidence."
Steve was even more puzzled. "Let him break into the S.H.I.E.L.D.. base to build confidence?"
"Certainly."
Chen Mo leaned back in his chair and said in a serious tone, "An alien prince who has lost his divine powers risks his life to rescue his younger brother. After a difficult battle, he breaks through numerous blockades and finally succeeds in rescuing his family."
Isn't this storyline very touching?
Steve thought for a moment.
"It would have been truly touching without your prior arrangements."
"That'll do."
Fury finally couldn't hold back any longer and asked, "I just want to know, why must we use S.H.I.E.L.D..'s base?"
"Because Loki is imprisoned here."
"We can hand Loki over to him."
"How can we train then?"
"Let him sign the paperwork before he takes him away!"
Chen Mo looked at Fury with the eyes of someone looking at an outsider.
"Chief, you really have no idea about the effects of a program."
Fury took a deep breath.
He is now beginning to suspect that putting Chen Mo in charge of this operation was the worst decision he has made since becoming Director of S.H.I.E.L.D..
Outside the base.
Thor had already reached the side door.
He squatted down in front of the electronic lock, pulled a safety pin from his pocket, then took out his phone and opened a lock-picking tutorial he had saved beforehand.
The man in the video is holding an old-fashioned door lock.
"After locating the lock cylinder, gently turn the tool and feel the changes in the internal pins..."
Thor looked down at the electronic lock.
There is no keyhole.
After studying it for a while, he finally found a gap next to the card reader and poked the pin in.
Silence fell again in the monitoring room.
Tony closed his eyes and pinched his brow.
"Oh my god, is he using a mechanical lock to pry open the electronic access control? Someone help me!"
"That shows he has good learning abilities," Chen Mo commented.
"What does this have to do with damn learning ability?"
"At least he knew to check online if he didn't know."
Tony sneered, "Once this is over, I'll add a basic common sense course to his curriculum. The first lesson will be that a pin can't hack an electronic system."
Watching Thor intently fiddling with the door, Steve couldn't help but ask, "Has he never done a stealth mission before?"
He probably hasn't had this kind of experience before.
"How are they going to get into the enemy's defensive zone?"
"My guess is that they usually start by waving hammers at the main gate, shouting 'For Odin, we'll break in!'"
Steve fell silent.
No wonder Thor's movements looked so strange.
That's not due to poor stealth skills.
He simply doesn't have that skill.
On the screen, Thor changed his angle and continued to probe the electronic lock with the pin. His hand was steady, and his expression was extremely focused.
Ten seconds later, the pin bent.
Thor frowned, straightened the pin, and pushed it in again.
Tony laughed in exasperation. He couldn't stand it any longer, so he turned around, picked up the controller on the table, and pressed the power button.
drop.
The electronic access control Green Lantern, and the side door automatically opens outwards.
Thor's movements stopped abruptly.
He looked down at the pin in his hand, then at the open door, and a look of surprise gradually appeared on his face.
It was a success.
It seems that the locks of Midgard are not as complicated as I imagined.
Thor carefully put away the pin and crouched down to sneak into the base.
Tony's temple twitched as he looked at the smug look on his face.
"Does he really think he opened it himself?"
"Of course." Chen Mo nodded in satisfaction. "At times like this, encouragement is the most important thing; we can't discourage a beginner's enthusiasm."
Steve rubbed his temples.
"Do you think opening the door directly is considered encouragement?"
"Or what? Should we just wait here and let him keep stabbing us until dawn?"
Fury watched Thor enter the corridor, his expression growing even more grim.
"This is not infiltration at all."
Chen Mo looked at him with a puzzled expression.
"They're already inside, how can it not count?"
"A true infiltration requires avoiding surveillance, disarming alarms, observing patrol routes, and preparing an escape plan in advance."
Fury pointed to Thor on the screen. "And all he did was poke at a remotely opened door for five minutes at an entrance that had been cleared of guards and sentries."
Don't set your expectations too high.
Chen Mo waved his hand. "Brainless infiltration of scripts also has a market; it's simple, direct, and the audience doesn't get tired of watching it."
Fury didn't want to talk anymore.
These guys are practically insulting the word "infiltration."
Just then, footsteps came from behind the monitoring room.
Natasha and Clint had already changed into their combat uniforms and were standing at the door awaiting orders.
Steve immediately stood up and began to flex his wrists.
Chen Mo immediately turned to look at him.
"Captain, be careful when you strike later."
Steve picked up his shield. "I know he's not powerful now, I'll go easy on him."
I didn't tell you to go easy on them.
What does that mean?
"You have to make it look realistic, make him feel like he might die at any moment, but you can't actually kill him."
Chen Mo raised a finger and continued, "It's best to let him take a few hits, then rely on your strong will to break through. When you leave, be natural too; don't let him realize we're just playing along."
Steve glanced at the shield, then at Thor on the monitor.
"But how can I lose to him naturally? Hasn't he lost his divine powers?"
"Fall down, hit a wall, suddenly feel dizzy—use your imagination, anything goes."
"But these behaviors sound completely unnatural."
Clint calmly said from the side, "Captain, I think you can fake an old injury flaring up."
Natasha shook her head. "That big oaf is quite perceptive; he might not believe it."
"Then I'll just shoot a few arrows off target and stab the captain in the butt."
"You are S.H.I.E.L.D..'s best shooter."
That's why acting skills are needed!
Steve sighed.
"You'd better go easy on my butt."
He never imagined that after being asleep for seventy years, the mission he would be involved in would be to help an alien prince successfully break out of prison.
In the past, this kind of thing would probably have been written directly into a psychiatric examination report.
I'll try to hold back.
Steve slung his shield over his shoulder and walked towards the interception point.
Natasha and Clint followed behind.
As they reached the door, Chen Mo added, "Remember, keep a fierce expression. You're the ruthless base guards, not a community outreach team."
Steve paused.
"I've been in war, and I know how to face the enemy."
"Very good."
Chen Mo nodded. "Let's make sure we lose more professionally later."
Steve didn't turn around.
He was afraid that if he turned around, he would first smash the shield into the director's face.
In the surveillance footage.
Thor hugged the wall, carefully rounding an empty corner. He took out a map and checked it repeatedly, confirming that the core area was just ahead, before slowly taking a deep breath.
Chen Mo leaned back in his seat and picked up the walkie-talkie on the table.
Attention all departments.
On the other side of the base, in a makeshift dressing room, more than a dozen Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. were lining up to touch up their makeup.
Some people smeared fake blood on their faces, some created damage to their combat uniforms, and others diligently memorized the lines they had just received.
"Halt! This is a restricted area."
"Don't move, or we'll shoot."
"Go quickly and inform the captain; he's stronger than we thought."
One of the agents looked at the note in his hand and couldn't help but ask, "Who wrote the lines? I was just bumped into, why is it said that he's stronger than expected?"
The makeup artist next to him casually remarked, "That's what the director asked for; just read it aloud."
Another agent nervously raised his hand. "I have another question, which side will I fall on later?"
"Left."
"But six people have already fallen on the left!"
"Then move to the right, and remember not to block the camera."
Dozens of screens inside the base were simultaneously playing footage of Thor's infiltration.
Even the agents in the lounge were gathered around the screen with coffee in hand, waiting for tonight's prison break livestream.
Thor remained crouched, completely unaware that he had become the center of attention in the entire base.
He clenched his fists, stared down the corridor, and prepared to fight to the death.
" Loki, I've come to save you!"
In the monitoring room, Chen Mo saw that everyone was in place and a satisfied smile appeared on his face.
He pressed the intercom button.
"Action."
