V did not reach out to take the cup of coffee that Tony offered, which emitted a rich aroma.
She held the modified pistol steadily in her hand, the muzzle pointed firmly at Tony's forehead, without the slightest tremor.
Tony shrugged, seemingly unconcerned.
He completely ignored the dark muzzle of the gun pointed at him, slowly took back the cup of coffee he had handed to V, and took a sip himself.
Are you kidding me? He's wearing the latest nanotech armor.
Even if this wild girl accidentally fired a bullet from that piece of junk she was using, it wouldn't even scratch the coating of the bullet.
Tony sipped his rich coffee while scrutinizing the wasteland-like woman before him.
Putting aside the possibility that this woman might be carrying an unknown, transdimensional influenza virus, this is actually a fantastic thing.
Chen Mo, that inhuman madman, that living devil who turns wherever he goes into a slaughterhouse, actually brings women home?
What does this tell us?
This shows that even that monster, who did nothing but eat and kill people all day long, still retained a tiny bit of worldly human desires.
God help us, as long as this guy is still interested in women, Earth's safety level will rise by several percentage points.
With that thought in mind, Tony switched his coffee cup to one hand, and spread his other hand out, striking what he considered the most harmless and charming soothing pose.
"Hey, relax, hot chick." Tony smiled slightly.
"My name is Tony Stark. I'm a genius, a billionaire, and most importantly, I'm Chen Mo's friend."
When he said the word "friend," Tony hesitated for about half a second.
He silently cursed Chen Mo's ancestors for eighteen generations in his heart.
Damn it, does that guy even consider me a friend?
Aside from coming to Stark Tower to freeload off his amazing inventions, he doesn't seem to do anything particularly impressive. Well, wait, at least he's quite dashing when he's handing out materials.
However, at this moment, it's clear that using Chen Mo's name as a shield is the most effective approach.
As expected, upon hearing Chen Mo's name, V's body, which had been taut like a fully drawn bow, finally relaxed slightly.
She narrowed her eyes, assessing the level of threat Tony posed.
The man with the mustache in front of me had no mechanical prosthetics on him, not even a piece of cheap subcutaneous armor.
In the survival rules of Night City, a mortal body that hasn't even undergone the most basic combat modifications is basically equivalent to a lamb to the slaughter, posing no threat whatsoever.
In addition, the room around her was extremely luxurious. From the air circulation system to the security devices, everything exuded a sense of sophistication that she couldn't understand but was deeply impressed by.
A monster like Chen Mo does seem like the type to associate with rich and powerful but weaklings who have little fighting ability.
V scrutinized Tony suspiciously for a moment, then slowly lowered the muzzle and tucked the weathered sidearm back into its holster on his thigh.
"That's more like it. Getting into fights only hurts the harmony and will dirty my haute couture carpet."
Once the alarm was lifted, Tony's seemingly perpetually chattering mouth erupted.
Instead of taking the opportunity to distance himself, he eagerly moved closer, his large, bright eyes gleaming with a burning thirst for knowledge.
"Tell me quickly, what earth-shattering things did Chen Mo do in your world?"
Tony nudged V's arm with his elbow and asked in a low voice, "Did he hang some city's boss on a streetlight again? Or did he just eat your ruling class like they were a buffet?"
Upon hearing Chen Mo, V's previously fierce demeanor instantly crumbled.
Frustrated, she ran her fingers through her short white hair, walked to the huge panoramic floor-to-ceiling window, and looked out at the bustling city.
"Whether he's been influenced by the ruling class or not, I don't know, but in front of me, he's like a blockhead."
V turned around, his face full of displeasure, and poured out his grievances to Tony, his voice hoarse and filled with resentment.
"You know what? I'm considered one of the top beauties in Night City. Countless mercenaries dream of getting into my bed."
"And then what happened? In front of dozens of people from the entire gang, I practically pounced on him, practically blocking his way and yelling that I wanted to sleep with him. Guess what that bastard did?"
Tony's eyes widened, and he even forgot to drink his coffee.
Holy crap! This is outrageous! This woman is incredibly reckless!
"What did he do? Did he pull out those disgusting black and red tentacles, tie you up, and beat you up?"
"He poked my forehead with his finger, complaining that I was too weak to withstand his torment! Then he tore open a dark spatial rift and dumped me into this wretched place like trash!"
V grew increasingly agitated as she spoke, her chest heaving dramatically in an astonishing arc.
"He's definitely asexual! What a waste of this tight tactical leather jacket I specially wore today, it's so constricting I can barely breathe, and he didn't even glance at me! Did his... sexual organs degenerate during mutation?"
Wow, this girl is a complete and ruthless thug.
Tony was stunned, then took a half-step back in awe, and couldn't help but give V a big thumbs up.
"Girl, no, heroine, you are simply the most awesome carbon-based life form I have ever seen, bar none."
Tony exclaimed in an exaggerated tone, "You actually dared to flirt with Chen Mo to his face? Do you know that the fact that you're still standing here complaining to me is the biggest miracle I've ever seen?"
"What do you mean? Is he going to eat me alive?" V frowned.
"Eat you? That's too lenient."
Tony shook his head with lingering fear, as if recalling some unbearable past events.
"There were a few women before who were even hotter than supermodels, and their status was practically divine. They were so beautiful, I felt sorry for them. But what happened?"
" Chen Mo didn't even blink. He swallowed the person whole, bones and all. There was blood everywhere. I was standing next to him and it was so painful I couldn't breathe."
Tony took a sip of coffee to calm himself down and continued his rant.
"That guy doesn't even have the concept of chivalry. In his worldview, carbon-based life forms are only divided into two categories: those that are edible and those that he doesn't want to eat for the time being. His veins are probably full of viruses and appetite."
Upon hearing this, V felt a cold sweat break out on his back.
She recalled the scene of Chen Mo tearing the mecha unit apart in a second, and suddenly felt that what the mustachioed man in front of her said made a lot of sense.
The two hit it off as they talked, as if they had found long-lost relatives, and quickly formed a united front of victims in this luxurious room.
"So, the fact that he threw you at me actually saved your life."
Tony gestured animatedly with his hands in the air, a blatant smirk playing on his lips.
" Chen Mo is a monster in human skin. He doesn't know anything about women. I bet even if he watched an adult film, all he'd be thinking about is how to extract the genetic material from the male and female leads..."
Just as Tony was laughing so hard he was doubled over, and was about to unleash his sharp tongue again...
A familiar hand reached out from the void beside him without warning.
The hand moved with lightning speed and with perfect ease, snatching the half-empty caramel macchiato from Tony's hand.
Immediately afterwards, Chen Mo's signature soft chuckle echoed softly from behind Tony and V's heads.
"You're having a great time chatting, are you holding a denunciation meeting behind my back?"
