Before Yelena could finish speaking, the surveillance footage outside had already changed.
Thor glanced sideways at the three special zombies that emerged from behind the horde.
The Zombie Okoye, still clutching his spear, his rotting facial muscles twitching; the Zombie Captain America, now only half a body, dragged himself across the ground with his arms, fragments of his shield still embedded in his left forearm;
The Zombie Abomination was the last to appear, its massive green body squeezing out from behind an overturned bus, emitting a muffled roar.
The three zombies froze simultaneously.
Their remaining instincts were sending a warning—something was very wrong with these two living people in front of them.
Unfortunately, Thor didn't give them any time to react.
He stretched out his right hand to the side, grabbed Wanda's wrist with his five fingers, and turned to walk towards the building whose windows were welded shut.
Wanda was tugged at and caught up with him.
Thor raised his left hand.
He brought his thumb and middle finger together and snapped his the Snap.
"Slap"
The sky darkened in an instant, switching directly from gray-green to jet black.
Dark clouds surged in from all directions, layer upon layer pressing down on the sky less than a hundred meters above our heads.
A dazzling deep blue light flashed, and a dense matrix of lightning, so dense that no gaps were visible, simultaneously exploded down from the bottom of the clouds.
Each bolt was as thick as an adult's arm, blue-white arcs of electricity bearing golden patterns of law, striking each zombie with precision.
The Zombie Okoye's body evaporated the instant the lightning struck.
Even the Zombie Captain America couldn't save his half-severed body.
The Zombie Abomination the enormous creature, which was over two meters tall, and didn't even have time to let out a scream.
More than a thousand zombies.
A the Snap.
It only took 0.3 seconds, and not a single speck of dust remained.
Thor pulled Wanda along, their pace unchanged, as if they were truly on vacation.
Wanda glanced sideways at the absurdly empty asphalt road behind her; just thirty seconds ago, it had been densely packed with rotting corpses.
Interior of the building.
Kamala's mouth was open, unable to close.
She stared at the monitor screen, only one thought in her mind— the Thor they knew couldn't possibly be this strong, could he?
"... Holy crap." Kate Bishop jumped up from the sofa, dropping her bow on the floor.
Alexei threw the dead walkie-talkie on the table, stood up, leaned close to the screen, and cursed in Russian.
Melina stopped organizing the ammunition.
Only Yelena and the Blade Knight remained still.
Yelena's hand was still on the gun, but her breathing rate had changed.
She quickly calculated in her mind the power level—if the other party was hostile, this building, along with everyone inside, would have been dead before that the Snap.
Erik Brooks, the Blade Knight, slowly withdrew his gaze.
A certain confirmation flashed in his bright white eyes; the Oracle of the moon god Khonshu was not wrong.
Footsteps could be heard outside the door.
Yelena was the first to reach the door, pulled back the bolt, and aimed her gun at the crack in the door.
The door was pushed open from the outside.
Thor stood in the doorway, his right hand still holding Wanda's, his left hand in his pocket, casually observing the indifferent face behind the gun.
"Where did you come from?" Yelena's gun didn't even flinch. "What are you doing here?"
Thor tilted his head.
"They're here for tourism."
Yelena's brow twitched.
This world is already so rotten, who would be foolish enough to travel to this godforsaken place?
Melina peeked out from behind Yelena, her gaze falling on Wanda's face.
"Are you sure you're not a zombie?"
Before Wanda could even speak, Thor was already grinning.
He glanced around at the group of fully armed, heavily armed men in the room, who looked as if they were facing a formidable enemy, and a smirk appeared on his lips.
"That Zombie Wanda doesn't have that kind of power."
Wanda pulled her wrist back, which he had been gripping the whole way, and rubbed it.
Yelena completely sheathed her pistol. There was no other way; the difference in strength between the two sides was too great. She didn't want to end up like the zombies from before, not even leaving a trace.
At that moment, the Blade Knight stepped out from behind the crowd.
He stopped three steps in front of Thor and bowed slightly.
"The moon Khonshu delivered Oracle three days ago," Erik's voice was deep and solemn, "Saying that someone will come. Someone who can end all of this."
He raised his head, his white, luminous eyes staring directly at Thor.
"Please resolve this plague."
Thor, with his hands in his pockets, didn't reply.
He mentally assessed the situation and realized that the virus in this Zombie Universe was nothing compared to the zombie virus of 2149.
It's not that it can't be solved, but his purpose in coming here today is not to be a savior.
"We'll see," Thor shrugged. "I told you, we're here for tourism. We'll see how it goes."
Erik didn't press further; he took a step back and said no more.
Kamala trotted over from the corner, her eyes flashing with an alarming light. Her lips moved as if she wanted to say something, but she didn't dare to approach.
The silence lasted for less than five seconds.
A deafening explosion came from the north side of the building, and the whole building shook.
Dust fell from the ceiling, and the surveillance camera screen shook violently.
Everyone looked at the screen at the same time.
A figure fell from the sky and crashed into the middle of the road 30 meters away, creating a five-meter-wide crater in the asphalt road, with gravel and dust rising three stories high.
The smoke and dust cleared.
A blonde woman climbed out of the pit.
His uniform was tattered, and half of his face had rotted away, revealing grayish-white bones underneath.
However, a faint glow of photon energy still lingered on her body.
It's Zombie Captain Marvel.
In the sky, a golden beam of light shot out right behind.
A man dressed in a dark blue bodysuit hovered in mid-air, his eyes shooting out intense golden rays— Ikaris, an Eternals.
He was preparing to continue the pursuit.
But the Zombie Carol did not choose to continue fighting him.
She turned her head and saw Thor and Wanda at the door.
A living person, fresh, very tender...
The instinct for hunger instantly overwhelmed everything.
Zombie Captain Marvel, now a zombie, leaped off the ground, transforming into a blur as she charged straight at Thor.
Thor didn't even move his shoulder from the doorframe.
He pulled his right hand out of his pocket and waved it casually.
The slap landed squarely on the head of the Zombie Carol.
Click!
The headless body slid forward two steps in its sprinting posture before collapsing to the ground. The afterglow of photon energy flickered twice on the remains before finally extinguishing.
Thor glanced down at the corpse on the ground and shook his hand dismissively.
"It's Carol again." He curled his lip. "Earth is cunning no matter which universe it's in."
Wanda: "..."
Ikaris froze in mid-air.
He was suspended ten meters above the ground, the golden light in his eyes slowly fading, and he froze there.
He certainly knew Thor; in his mind, Thor was at most on par with Captain Marvel in terms of strength.
The Thor in front of them slapped Zombie Captain Marvel, a zombie he had been fighting for who knows how long, to death with a single blow, seemingly without using any force at all; it was just a light, casual wave of his hand.
Inside the room, Kamala's expression was complicated.
Captain Marvel has always been her idol, even the zombie version. Seeing her head being casually slapped off still made her feel uneasy.
She opened her mouth, but nothing came out.
Thor withdrew his gaze and casually glanced around at the people in the room.
Yelena, Alexei, Melina, Kate, Kamala, Erik —it all matched, exactly the same as the list of survivors in his memory.
Although he didn't know why Kate survived, it wasn't surprising. If everything had been exactly the same as the original story, he would have found it quite strange.
Finally, his gaze fell on the woman in the light blue jacket on the sofa.
He had wheat-colored skin, black curly hair, and a white five-pointed star embroidered on the chest of his jacket.
Thor paused, recognizing the woman.
Miss United States America Chavez.
The woman who can open pentagram gates between the multiverses.
He's also the guy who was chased and killed by the corrupted Wanda in Wanda's Quest for the Family.
It's even rarer than Black Swan, practically unique in the multiverse.
How did she end up in Zombie Universe?
America sat up from the sofa, still biting into half a compressed biscuit, and met Thor's gaze with her deep brown eyes.
"What are you looking at?" she asked, chewing on a cookie.
