Before the words were even finished, the holographic projection system in the center of the conference hall automatically activated, and a huge three-dimensional image instantly filled everyone's field of vision.
That was the scene of a press conference.
A sea of flashbulbs surged as countless reporters pointed their microphones and cameras at the three people on the stage.
Standing in the center was the very man they had just been discussing so intensely— Thor.
He was dressed in casual Earth-style clothing, a playful smile on his face, as if he were facing not the global media, but a boring tea party.
To his left stood Galatea, her face expressionless.
She wore a dark combat suit, arms crossed, coldly surveying the audience below. The oppressive aura emanating from her Kryptonian was suffocating, even through the screen.
To his right stood Shayera Hall, the Hawkgirl.
She changed out of her League uniform and into Thanagar- style casual wear, her expression complex, but she stood there straight, making her stance clear.
"What's he doing? Holding a press conference?" Wally exclaimed first, pointing at the screen with a look of utter disbelief. "Is this the big trouble Barbara was talking about?"
John Stewart, the Green Lantern who had just walked in, froze.
His gaze passed over Thor and fixed intently on Shayera, whose face, once so familiar, now seemed so distant and unfamiliar.
"Silence." Batman's voice wasn't loud, but it instantly silenced all the murmurs.
He remained standing in the shadows, his entire body exuding a dangerous tension.
On the screen, a bold female reporter squeezed to the front and asked loudly, "Mr. Thor! The lady next to you is Hawkgirl, a former member of the Justice League and a Thanagar Hawkgirl! Does having her with you mean you are protecting someone who once threatened the safety of Earth...?"
Thor didn't even wait for her to finish speaking, simply waving his hand casually.
An invisible force swept over her, and the female reporter's incessant chatter instantly shut her mouth; she was horrified to find that she couldn't utter a sound.
The entire audience erupted in uproar, then fell into a deathly silence.
"You all should know me somewhat," Thor said slowly and deliberately to the camera, "I am Thor. The reason I've summoned you here today isn't anything major."
He paused, looked around at the tense yet expectant faces below the stage, and the corners of his mouth curved into a wider smile.
"Your universe, in my view, is indeed a universe full of love and hope. Therefore, I intend to... bestow upon you seven Asgard artifacts."
This statement was clearly transmitted to every corner of the world through a global live broadcast.
Inside the conference room, Superman's breath caught in his throat for a moment, and Diana leaned forward slightly, her warrior instincts letting her sense an approaching storm.
Thor opened his right hand, palm facing up.
Seven orbs of light of different colors appeared out of thin air. They were not illusory energy, but rather "squeezed" out from his palm, like physical entities forcibly pulled from another reality, carrying a heavy sense of mass.
"First, Mjolnir, Mjolnir." He raised a dazzling ball of lightning, within which the outline of a warhammer rapidly solidified. "Whoever can lift it will gain the power of Thor."
"Second, the Crown of the Goddess of Death, Hela's Crown." A dark green light swirled at his fingertips, transforming into a ferocious yet magnificent crown.
Third, Loki's Scepter of Lies.
Fourth, Valkyrie's Longsword.
Fifth, Odin's Gungnir.
With each name he uttered, a divine artifact materialized in his hand, radiating a terrifying power.
The Law of Creation and the Law of Reality intertwine in his hands, directly transforming fictional concepts into real existence.
"Seventh, the Three Fates' Book of Fate."
As the last book closed in his palm, the seven divine artifacts floated around him, and the air in the entire press conference venue seemed to be sucked out.
"Whoever collects all seven divine artifacts, I will grant them one wish unconditionally."
Thor's voice carried a seductive magic, "Including immortality, becoming as powerful as Superman, even... resurrecting your deceased loved ones."
Clark clenched his fists at his sides.
"Whether mortal, hero, or even the villain you speak of, anyone who wields a divine artifact will gain immense power."
"Alright, that concludes my sharing." Thor grinned, revealing a set of white teeth. "You guys can go find them now."
After saying that, he casually waved his hand.
The seven divine artifacts suspended in the air instantly transformed into seven streams of light that pierced through the heavens and earth, tearing through the clouds and shooting in seven different directions towards the earth before disappearing into the horizon.
The live broadcast worldwide froze at this moment.
The atmosphere in the conference room was eerily quiet.
"A madman..." Wally uttered dryly, "He's a complete madman! He's trying to throw the whole world into chaos!"
He had just been defending Thor, but now he felt a burning pain in his face.
This is not helping the Earth; it's dropping seven sparks that could ignite a global war!
However, before they could even come up with a single word...
The space in the center of the conference hall suddenly distorted, like the surface of water tossed with a pebble.
The next second, Thor, Galatea, and Shayera appeared directly in front of the table, as if they had always been there.
"Whoosh!"
The League members reacted with lightning speed.
Superman instantly stepped in front, Diana's hand was already gripping the Lasso of Truth, Green Lantern's ring glowed green, and Martian Manhunter's figure became somewhat ethereal.
"Why are you all so wary?" Thor looked around at everyone, his relaxed demeanor as if he were visiting a neighbor. "I'm here to share some information with you."
He snapped his the Snap.
Lines of golden Northern Europe runes appeared out of thin air before everyone, clearly arranged into characters they could understand.
[ Mjolnir: The wielder must possess Mjolnir 'heart of justice' to gain the power of thunder.]
[ Crown of the Goddess of Death ( Hela's Crown ): The wielder must 'face death without fear,' be able to sense the Soul Stone of the dead, briefly converse with the deceased, and control undead creatures.]
[ The Staff of Lies ( Loki's Scepter ): The wielder must have been betrayed and betrayed in return, possessing the ability to see through lies and create illusions.]
Upon seeing this, John Stewart's gaze involuntarily drifted towards Shayera, who avoided his gaze.
[ Sword of the Valkyrie 'Valkyrie's Sword: The wielder must have 'saved another's life', and can sense those about to die on the battlefield; nothing is immune to its power.]
[ The Gungnir ( Odin's Gungnir ): The wielder must have 'sacrificed everything for a certain belief,' and it is guaranteed to hit the target 100% of the time.]
[ Mead of Poetry ( Bragi's Mead ): The holder must have 'touched others with their work,' be able to speak words that strike the Soul Stone, and gain corresponding power through poetry.]
[ Book of Fate ( Fragment of the Three Fates' Loom ): The holder must have 'defied predetermined fate' and can briefly see the future for 3 seconds, once per day.]
Every rule and every condition was precisely projected into the hearts of everyone in the League, causing a tremendous shock.
These conditions are not merely a contest of strength, but a test of one's inner self, one's past, and one's beliefs.
"As for whether any of you heroes will be able to gain the artifact's approval, that depends on your abilities," Thor said slowly. Finally, his gaze passed through everyone and settled on the deepest shadow.
" Old Bat," he chuckled, a hint of mockery in his address, "Aren't you always looking for backup plans? Hiding Kryptonite all over the world, preparing a deadly contingency for every ally."
He took a step forward, and Galatea followed.
"Now, I've thrown seven 'backup plans' at the world. Everyone has a chance to become a god, everyone has a chance to fight against you."
Thor's smile deepened.
"This gift is what I prepared for you. How about it? Are you happy?"
Without waiting for any reply, the space behind him twisted again, and he vanished from the spot in an instant, carrying Galatea and Shayera with him.
All that remained were a room full of League members in utter shock, and those lines of golden text still suspended in the air, exuding a deadly allure.
The golden runes floated silently in mid-air, emitting a soft yet dangerous light.
The light reflected off Batman's white goggles, like two burning will-o'-the-wisps.
He remained motionless, like a gargoyle lurking in a modern temple, except that the jawline hidden beneath the mask was slightly taut, clearly indicating that he was not as calm as one might imagine.
