"Who the hell are you calling --?"
Before Harley Quinn's scream could even fully escape her throat, she had already transformed into a red and black afterimage.
The last person who dared to say that about her has a grave covered in grass that's three meters tall, the kind that she personally hammered into the ground to use as fertilizer.
All she wanted to do right now was smash the man's head into his chest!
"Hey guys!" Captain Boomerang George Harkness, watching the impending bloodshed, instinctively took a step back, then abruptly turned to his lifelong nemesis, "You're just going to watch? This is a life! The Flash!"
Barry Allen didn't answer, but like everyone else, he glanced at him with an extremely strange expression that mixed pity, helplessness, and a little bit of amusement.
George was stunned.
What do these self-proclaimed heroes mean?
Why are you looking at me like that? Shouldn't I be the one looking at them like that? Are you just going to stand by and watch them die?
Before he could figure it out, he saw Harley pull out a huge alloy hammer, almost half a person's height, from under her messy desk!
A funny smiley face was painted on the Hammerhead in red paint.
"Go to hell, you blond bastard!"
Harley screamed, her arm muscles tensing, as she swung the disproportionately large hammer, which was completely out of place with her petite frame, and brought it crashing down toward Thor's head with a whooshing sound!
This single blow is enough to punch a large hole in an armored vehicle.
Thor simply stood there, without moving an inch.
He even raised his hand, yawned, and then gently blew on the oncoming hammer.
"Call--"
A bizarre scene unfolded.
The heavy hammer, made of high-strength alloy, was like paper ignited by an invisible flame after coming into contact with the airflow blown by Thor. Starting from the Hammerhead, it silently and inch by inch turned into the smallest particles and dissipated with the wind.
The entire process, from solid to Void, takes less than a second.
Harley remained frozen in her swinging stance, only a bare handle remaining in her hand.
"..."
The room was deathly silent.
The empty bottle in Captain Boomerang's hand fell to the ground with a "clatter" and shattered into pieces.
He finally understood why those people had looked at him like that.
Hold!
Where the hell did this monster spring from?! When did Earth become so dangerous?!
Harley doesn't care about molecular dissipation; even if she loses her hammer, she has other things!
"Sizzle--!"
She threw away the hammer handle, and the stun gloves on her hands flashed with terrifying electricity again. This time, she held nothing back, turning the power up to the maximum, and slammed both fists, one on the left and one on the right, into Thor's chest!
"Bang! Bang!"
Two solid punches.
Thor glanced down at the two fist gloves on his chest that were still crackling and sizzling with electricity, then looked up at Harley, whose face was contorted with rage, and a very strange smile appeared on his face.
Someone actually wants to shock Thor with a stun glove?
Seriously?
He's not like Thor in Tony Stark's universe, the fat Thor who needs a hammer to fly.
"Aaaaaaah! Why! Why haven't you fallen yet!"
Harley screamed frantically. She could feel the energy in her gauntlets draining away at an alarming rate, but her opponent seemed completely unaffected; in fact... she felt like his aura had grown even stronger?
And indeed, the violent electrical energy not only failed to harm Thor in the slightest, but instead became the purest form of energy, which he absorbed completely.
The taste is not bad, but the power is a bit low.
Thor even had the leisure to make a mental comment.
Harley finally realized something was wrong; this man was absorbing her electricity!
Without hesitation, she ripped off her gloves and threw them on the ground, then pounced again, bare-handed and menacing.
I'm going to tear you apart! Turn you into meat patties! And make soup from your bones!
This time, Thor didn't even give her a chance to get close.
He simply stretched out his right hand and precisely pressed it against Harley's forehead as she rushed towards him.
Harley Quinn was thus frozen in place, her feet off the ground, her limbs flailing wildly in the air, uttering incomprehensible roars, yet unable to move forward an inch.
The scene was so comical that it made you want to laugh, but no one could actually laugh.
Because everyone was stunned by the absolute and effortless dominance that Thor displayed.
"Who... who is he?" Captain Boomerang George Harkness, finally couldn't hold back any longer. He grabbed the Flash's sleeve, his voice trembling.
Barry shifted his gaze from the impotently furious Harley, glanced at his old rival, and said succinctly:
"One God."
god?
George fell into deep thought.
Over the years, there have been hundreds, if not thousands, of people on Earth who claim to be gods or are considered gods—the New Gods of Apokolips, the Old Gods of Mount Olympus, and that Swamp Thing who always wants to turn the world green... but none of them have brought him such a profound sense of oppression from the level of life itself.
This is fucking divine!
Seeing that physical attacks were completely ineffective, Harley Quinn, whose head was being held down, finally calmed down a bit.
She stopped struggling, her crazed eyes fixed on Thor, and began to use her most effective weapon—psychology.
"You think you're so great? Ha! You're just a pathetic wretch like me! Abandoned, betrayed! You have a huge hole in your heart, darker than the sewers of Arkham! You want to fill it, so you go around looking for fun, don't you? You want to prove you're alive, prove you're important!"
"You're afraid of being forgotten! You're afraid of being alone! Let me guess, you've lost someone very important, haven't you? Family? A lover? Or yourself?"
Her words grew increasingly sharp, each one precisely piercing the softest, most painful spot for any normal person.
However, Thor remained expressionless.
He listened quietly, and only when Harley stopped breathing did he slowly speak:
"Are you done talking?"
He let go, Harley fell to the ground with a thud.
Thor looked down at her with the same disdain one would show for a defective item, and sighed, "I was going to invite you, Harley. I had a perfect spot prepared just for you at this ' Deadman Lottery ' on Apokolips, where you could unleash your madness to the fullest."
He paused, then made a mocking "tsk tsk" sound.
"But now, you've disappointed me greatly. You're too weak and too boring."
Upon hearing this, Harley's expression instantly changed.
She may not care about winning or losing, and may even enjoy the thrill of being dominated by stronger opponents, but she absolutely cannot accept being labeled as "boring"!
She suddenly leaped to her feet, grabbed another spare sledgehammer from the corner of the wall, and slung it over her shoulder. Her madness had dissipated considerably, replaced by a morbid stubbornness.
"Tell me, what's my role in this ' Deadman Lottery '?"
She stared intently at Thor, like an enraged she-wolf.
"If I'm not satisfied, I'll make trouble for you again! And after this is over, you're not allowed to use any of your weird abilities. It's a one-on-one, bare-handed fight between the two of us! Whoever loses has to unconditionally obey the other!"
Upon hearing this, even Captain Boomerang couldn't help but look at her as if she were an idiot.
Sister, do you have some misunderstanding about "unarmed combat" and "one-on-one fight"?
Didn't you see what just happened?
Thor was amused by her peculiar way of thinking. He shook his head and refused outright.
"You're too incompetent; you don't deserve this bet."
Let's change the terms.
Harley's face flushed bright red instantly, and she was about to explode again.
Just then, a cold, immature voice, yet carrying an unquestionable tone, came from the group.
"He can resurrect Pamela."
Damian Wayne, the current Robin, looked coldly at Harley Quinn and spoke each word clearly.
