The Knowhere, Frost City.
Beneath a massive glass dome, an unimaginable marine park folds time and space together.
Wanda Maximoff, clad in a scarlet Sorcerer Supreme robe, stood before the heavy observation window, her red eyes reflecting the deep blue spectacle.
Before her eyes, a megalodon over twenty meters long brushed past a ferocious Dunkleosteus, while further away, a massive swarm of ichthyosaurs, like an elegant fleet, weaved through countless cornerstones.
These apex predators from different geological eras now seem like domesticated pets, harmoniously sharing this body of water.
" Thor," Wanda turned her head, her long brown hair brushing against her shoulder, and looked at the man beside her, dressed in a casual T-shirt and beach shorts, completely unpretentious.
"How did you manage to make these... things coexist peacefully? Each of them wants to tear the other to pieces."
Thor yawned lazily, took a big gulp of ice-cold cola, and then pointed with his chin towards the water.
In the depths of the azure underwater world, a muscular man wielding a trident is riding a megalodon, performing a difficult spinning maneuver, causing a group of ancient sea Scorpion to dance along with him.
Beside him, a graceful red-haired woman gently waved her hands, creating colorful ribbons of water that soothed a malfunctioning Liodon.
Their performance drew everyone's attention, and applause and cheers resounded continuously.
"See that?" Thor's voice carried a hint of barely concealed smugness.
"I casually saved a universe that was on the verge of collapse and brought back their surviving heroes. Those two, one named Arthur and the other Mera, happen to be Guan Hai's men. With them around, these big guys are more obedient than goldfish."
Wanda looked at the lively scene and a smile involuntarily curved her lips.
This act of treating heroes from different universes as spoils of war and administrators is something probably only Thor could do, and do it with such self-righteousness.
She knew very well that Thor's "casual rescue" might be a catastrophe that would destroy the entire universe.
This man always liked to use the most understated tone to recount the most earth-shattering deeds.
Just as Wanda was about to ask something else, a soft popping sound came from the air.
"Brush!"
A figure suddenly appeared in front of the two.
The newcomer was Kara, the black-haired Kryptonian from the Flashpoint Universe.
She wasn't wearing her battle gear today, just a simple black T-shirt and skinny jeans, which accentuated her toned and powerful physique.
Her delicate and gentle face was now filled with anxiety.
" Thor, something terrible has happened!" Kara's voice was rapid and urgent, " Valeria is missing!"
Thor's relaxed expression froze instantly. He looked Kara up and down, his eyes turning strange.
"Wait, say that again?" He picked at his ear, as if thinking he had misheard.
"You mean, you, a Kryptonian, let a... ordinary human girl escape right under your nose?"
Thor's tone was three parts disbelief and seven parts sarcasm.
He wasn't really angry, he just felt that this matter was really absurd.
Asking a Kryptonian to look after a child is like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut; in the end, the sledgehammer just lets the nut escape.
Kara's cheeks flushed instantly, the blush spreading from her ears all the way down her neck.
Her usually calm and serene eyes were now darting away, unable to meet Thor's gaze directly.
Kara's feelings towards Thor are complex.
This man pulled her out of the Hell laboratory and gave her the power and opportunity to bask in the Sun for a hundred years and take revenge on her enemies.
She would carry out any order he gave her without fail, whether it was carrying bricks or taking care of the children, it was all a task.
But now, she's messed up the simplest task.
"She... she ran away while taking a shower." Kara's voice lowered, filled with obvious embarrassment.
"I couldn't exactly go in and watch her take a shower... By the time I realized the water had stopped for too long and went in to check, she was already gone."
Upon hearing this, the strange expression on Thor's face disappeared. He stared at Kara's embarrassed look for a few seconds, then suddenly laughed.
"Ha, it's not your fault."
He knew it perfectly well.
Valeria, that little devil who inherited the genes of Reed Richards and Susan Stone, has an alarmingly high IQ and more mischievous ideas than the stars in the sky.
It was incredibly easy for her to slip away from a Kryptonian was unaccustomed to surveillance and also concerned about gender segregation.
"Alright, let's put this behind us." Thor waved his hand, then changed the subject, speaking in an unquestionable tone.
"However, once I bring her back, to prevent this from happening again, you'll have to shower with her. I don't want it to happen again."
"Huh?!" Kara suddenly looked up, clearly not expecting this solution.
"What do you mean, 'huh'? This is an order." Thor curled his lip. "What are you afraid of? She's just a little kid. Or are you insecure about your body?"
Kara's face flushed even more, but she simply pursed her lips and nodded firmly. "Yes, I understand. There will definitely not be a next time."
Her answer was crisp and concise, without the slightest hesitation, as if Thor's order was not some strange command, but a perfectly normal tactical arrangement.
Wanda, watching this bizarre conversation, felt her mind struggling to keep up.
She was about to say something, like, "Isn't it a bit too much to make them shower together...?", when she suddenly froze.
A stirring originating from the depths of her Soul Stone, transmitted clearly across endless dimensions through her connection with Chaos Magic.
It was a familiar, chaotic, and dangerous energy fluctuation, emanating from her home planet—Earth.
" Thor..." Wanda's expression instantly turned serious. She looked at Thor, her eyes filled with gravity. "Something seems to have happened on Earth. I have to go back."
As the newly appointed Sorcerer Supreme, she has a natural sensitivity to the safety of the Earth, and this level of alarm is no small matter.
Upon hearing this, Thor abandoned his joking thoughts, and his mind raced.
Something's happened to Earth? Valeria has disappeared?
These two things are most likely related...
Given that kid's intelligence, it's not impossible that he could use the interdimensional technology in Frost City to sneak off to Wanda's universe.
That child's curiosity and drive are practically a supercharged version of her parents'.
In addition, she had recently been researching how to combine Doomsday's and Amazo's abilities into one. If this brat isn't caught and properly controlled, he might cause a huge mess one day.
It's safe to say she's Reed's daughter; she's inherited his talent for causing trouble perfectly.
"Okay," Thor decided immediately, "I'll go with you. Who knows, that brat might be causing trouble in your universe."
He placed one hand on Wanda's shoulder and made a light sweeping motion in the air with the other.
Accompanied by a deafening roar of thunder, a circular portal made of pure energy, its edges shimmering with iridescent light, tore through space out of thin air.
On the other side of the door lies the familiar courtyard of the Kamar-Taj Temple.
"Let's go, Sorcerer Supreme." Thor raised an eyebrow at Wanda.
Wanda nodded without hesitation and stepped into the portal first.
Thor followed closely behind, and the two figures vanished instantly, the magnificent portal closing as if it had never existed.
Kara was left alone in the spot.
She stood there for a moment, then turned around and waved to Aquaman Arthur, who was still showing off his shark skills under the glass dome, as a greeting.
After completing this simple social etiquette, she vanished without a trace.
In the Frost City Ocean Park, only those ancient behemoths remain, continuing their Eternity and peaceful patrols under the command of the two sea kings.
