Thor reached out and gently patted the black armor on his chest.
Nanoparticles, like flowing ink, instantly covered his entire body, clinging tightly to his muscle lines and outlining a silhouette that was even more imposing and intimidating than the Prime Universe's Batman.
This suit of armor was designed by Tony Stark; it's unexpected that it would come in handy in a place like this.
Without the slightest hesitation, he was the first to step into the dark blue portal, his figure instantly swallowed by the distorted light and shadow.
Diana watched his disappearing figure, took a deep breath, and filled her lungs to the brim with air.
She plunged in, like the bravest Amazons warrior leaping into the unknown depths of the sea.
Only when death came last did Tetiyu remain calm and unhurried, strolling in as if visiting a neighbor.
Upon entering, a biting chill and immense water pressure immediately hit you.
But what's even more striking is the battlefield right before our eyes.
Countless corrupted Atlantis warriors, their skin ashen and their eyes sunken, like zombies in water, were frantically attacking a golden figure.
Aquaman Arthur wields his trident, each swing creating towering waves, yet he only slightly abruptly stops before striking his former subjects, merely pushing them away.
A colossal sea monster, comparable in size to Leviathan, opened its massive jaws, filled with sharp teeth, and began to tear at him madly.
Arthur merely dodged awkwardly, his golden armor already covered in scratches, but he never raised his trident to deliver the fatal blow to the monster.
He couldn't bring himself to do it.
This hesitation is fatal on the battlefield.
A dark figure seized the opportunity.
The Drowned, Bryce Wayne from the Dark Multiverse, appeared silently behind Arthur like a black lightning bolt.
She slapped Arthur's wrist with a powerful blow, sending the golden trident flying and tracing an arc in the water.
The next second, the Drowned had already grabbed Arthur by the neck, lifting the King of the Seven Seas up like a chick.
"Take a good look, King of the Seven Seas." Her hoarse voice, carried by the vibrations of the water, reached Arthur's ears clearly, filled with deep-seated resentment.
"Your cherished lover is now the vanguard of my Dead Water Legion. Your power to control water is meaningless to me."
Arthur's face flushed crimson with suffocation. He stared intently at the twisted " Batman " before him, his teeth grinding together. "I will... utterly crush you, you monster! And free Mera...!"
"Then you can try," The Drowned sneered, striking him hard in the abdomen with the hilt of its black and gold trident. "Anyway, you're not the first Atlantis king to die by my hand."
Arthur let out a painful groan and curled up into a ball.
Just as the Drowned was preparing to enjoy his suffering, a lazy voice, seemingly ignoring the resistance of the water, eerily rang in their ears.
"Typical villain behavior; once they gain an advantage, they start spouting nonsense."
Their eyes were simultaneously drawn to it.
Not far away, three figures were seen floating silently in the water.
A tall, athletic female warrior, a pale girl in gothic attire, and... a man in Bat-Armor, yet wielding a weapon that doesn't belong to him.
The most outrageous thing is that there seemed to be an invisible barrier around them, completely isolating them from the seawater and forming a dry air barrier.
At the core of that barrier was the Trident of Neptune, the symbol of the monarchy of Atlantis, which was held in the hand of " Batman ".
" Diana? What are you doing here?" Arthur exclaimed in surprise, the pain and shock momentarily making him forget his predicament.
However, before Diana could respond, Arthur was completely dumbfounded.
His mind was a little slow to process what he was going through.
He knew Bruce was outrageous, always managing to pull off all sorts of bizarre and outlandish gadgets to turn the tide of battle, but he never imagined Bruce could be this outrageous.
His weapon was a sacred relic bound to the bloodline of the Atlantis royal family, passed down through generations, and could only be wielded by those without royal blood.
Unless one is a magical master of the level of Doctor Fate, who can only borrow it briefly by expending great effort, or one must personally authorize it.
But this Batman in front of me did nothing, just took it in his hand as if it were his own business, and even used his superhuman power to keep the seawater away?
This was even more unbelievable to him than seeing Superman unafraid of Kryptonite.
But the situation didn't allow him time to think. His survival instinct made him instantly forget his shock, and he shouted in Thor's direction, " Bruce, help! This woman is tough!"
Thor raised his trident and casually swung it at the still-stunned the Drowned.
"Boom!"
A visible golden energy shockwave erupted violently in the water, striking the Drowned precisely in the chest.
She was struck as if by an invisible giant hammer, flying backward and knocking over a large number of the Dead Water Legion warriors.
Thor then spoke slowly, his voice amplified by divine power and clearly carrying throughout the waters. "I am not Bruce."
Taking advantage of this opening, Arthur broke free of his restraints and plunged to Diana's side. While warily watching the enemies regrouping in the distance, he asked urgently in a low voice:
" Diana, who exactly is he? And how did he get the ability to use my weapons?"
Diana's expression was also somewhat complicated. She shrugged, equally bewildered. "I don't know either. All I know is that he's Bruce Wayne's father in a parallel universe, Thomas Wayne."
She paused, then added, "He personally killed a Batman wearing Helmet of the God of War before."
Arthur's pupils contracted, and he instantly understood. "You were also dragged into that kind of fighting arena?"
Diana nodded seriously. "I'm afraid it's not just the two of us. Barry and Hal are probably facing a crisis as well. Moreover, these Batman's abilities seem to be exactly what counter us."
A sense of despair began to spread in Arthur's heart.
He glanced at Thor, who was confronting the Drowned in the distance, then at Diana beside him, his voice tinged with helplessness. "What do we do? Bruce's been captured and taken to the Dark Multiverse, Clark... I wonder if he even made it in?"
The Justice League's most powerful fighter and strategist, one is missing and the other's whereabouts are unknown.
But their enemies are an endless array of Dark Knight, specifically designed to counter them.
How can we fight this battle?
Diana remained silent.
She gazed at the lone figure facing the entire Dead Water Legion in the distance, that black armor, that familiar sense of oppression, and for a moment she vaguely saw the shadow of another person.
After a long silence, she spoke slowly, her gaze more resolute than ever before.
"Don't we still have Batman?"
