The Drowned quickly recovered from the numbness of the impact. She supported herself with her black and gold trident and slowly straightened up.
Countless warriors of the Dead Water Legion regrouped behind her, letting out a silent roar, while the transformed giant Leviathan, once Mera's monster, also circled and swam over, its crimson single eye fixed on the uninvited guest.
Her gaze swept past the cannon fodder and landed directly on Thor, her hoarse voice carrying a hint of wariness. "Who are you? Where is the Merciless?"
The Drowned aren't stupid. There's only one explanation for Diana's presence here— the Dark Batman wearing the Helmet of the God of War, who was in charge of dealing with her, has already been defeated.
Thor listlessly weighed the Trident of Neptune in his hand, looked at the twisted female version of Bruce in front of him, and said indifferently, "This Bruce you're talking about disappoints me, so I sent him to drink with Satan."
He paused, his gaze sweeping over her with the scrutiny of an elder examining a younger person.
"And you, my dear daughter, surely you won't disappoint me again?"
"Daughter?" The Drowned's brows furrowed. She scrutinized Thor's armor and the unfamiliar face beneath it. An absurd yet sole possibility surfaced in her mind. "You are... Thomas?"
Thor did not answer, but simply tapped the trident handle lightly in his palm, which was taken as acquiescence.
"You are not my Thomas." The voice of the Drowned turned cold and resolute. "Besides, I can't go back anymore. From the moment Kyle died in the arms of the Superhuman, there was no going back."
The moment she finished speaking, she raised the black and gold trident in her hand and pointed it forward.
At an invisible command, tens of thousands of the Dead Water Legion warriors, like a black flood bursting its banks, swept towards Thor and his companions in an overwhelming onslaught.
Thor looked at the surging army of death, his lips curling into a smirk, appearing somewhat impatient.
He subtly imbued the Trident of Neptune with a barely perceptible, Enigma Force, causing the foot thrusters of the nanosuit to emit a soft hum.
The next second, instead of fighting back, he turned and ran, like a black streak of light, drawing a strange arc in the water.
What appeared to be an escape was in reality a one-sided Carnage.
Attribute advantages and disadvantages are just that unreasonable.
The Atlantis warriors corrupted by dark energy possessed bodies harder than steel and extremely high resistance to physical attacks and ordinary energy, but they were as fragile as bubbles before the trident tainted by Enigma Force.
Thor didn't even need to swing it forcefully; he simply dragged the trident through the water. Any Deadwater Warrior whose body was grazed or touched by the tip of the trident had their dark energy instantly purified and evaporated like ignited gasoline. Their entire body then collapsed and dissipated, leaving not even a handful of ashes behind.
"Roar--!"
Mera, transformed into the Leviathan, roared, her massive body stirring up a huge vortex, and she opened her enormous jaws to bite Thor.
Without turning his head, Thor threw a punch that landed squarely on Leviathan's jaw.
Thump!
A deep, resounding roar that seemed to shake the seawater.
The colossal beast, whose size rivaled that of a mountain range, didn't even have time to utter a mournful cry before its single, scarlet eye rolled back, its massive body went limp, and it plummeted straight towards the seabed, instantly knocking itself unconscious.
" Mera!"
Arthur was about to speak, telling Thor not to kill him, but he swallowed the words back.
He stared dumbfounded at the seemingly casual punch, instinctively turning to Diana and asking in a hoarse voice, " Bruce's father... is he really an ordinary person?"
"It's probably a feature of the armor." Diana's expression was also somewhat strange. She pointed to Thor's nanotech armor. "You know, Battech always has many amazing features."
As she spoke, she swung the Sword of Hephaestus in her hand, cleanly slicing several Deadwater Warriors who had managed to bypass Thor and approach her side in two.
The Drowned did not immediately approach.
She watched helplessly as her Dead Water Legion collapsed like felled Maze, her heart pounding with shock.
She knew all too well the power of Aquaman Arthur's trident; it certainly didn't possess such purifying power that could kill upon contact.
This Thomas from a parallel universe... is weird!
However, her inaction did not mean that Thor would let her go.
After clearing out a large group of enemies, Thor suddenly stopped in the water, his thrusters blasting out of his body, transforming him into a black torpedo that hurtled straight toward the Drowned!
The Drowned spirit's pupils contracted, and it could only hastily raise its black and gold trident to block.
"Clang!"
The two tridents clashed in the water, creating a shockwave visible to the naked eye.
At first, the Drowned were able to barely hold their own for a few rounds thanks to their exceptional control over water and rich combat experience.
But soon, she realized with despair that the battle was unequal from the start.
Every attack from her opponent seemed wide and sweeping, yet she always managed to accurately predict all of her dodge routes and counterattack angles.
The feeling was like a seasoned martial arts master instructing a child who had just learned to throw a punch.
No, it's more like... a father hitting his daughter.
Thor swung his trident with a sudden sweep, forcing the Drowned to parry. The next second, he flipped his wrist and struck the spirit's wrist joint precisely with the hilt of the trident.
"Smack!"
A crisp sound of bone cracking rang out.
In pain, the Drowned released its black and gold trident.
Thor gave her no chance to catch her breath, took a step forward, and his large hand, like an iron clamp, grabbed her neck and lifted her up.
"Is there anything else you'd like to say, my daughter?"
The body of the Drowned struggled helplessly, the suffocation and excruciating pain causing her vision to go black.
Knowing her death was imminent, she calmed down, only looking at Thor with eyes filled with resentment and sorrow, and hoarsely uttering her last words:
"If... you from my universe... were still alive... how wonderful that would be..."
Thor's face was expressionless, he said nothing, and showed no pity.
He raised Trident of Neptune, aimed it at her chest, and plunged it in cleanly and decisively.
"Pfft--"
The golden trident pierced through her chest, and divine power erupted instantly, purifying all the dark energy and life force within her.
The second Dark Knight, the Drowned, is utterly dead.
Arthur stared in disbelief at the scene, his mouth agape, muttering to himself, "It's... it's that simple? What's the difference between this and a father hitting his child?"
Diana sheathed the Sword of Hephaestus and, unusually, made a joke, "Because, this is what it means for a father to hit his daughter."
Thor casually tossed aside the corpse of the Drowned, letting it dissipate in the water.
He walked over to the unconscious Leviathan and gently tapped its massive body with the tip of his trident.
"Stop!"
Arthur's expression changed drastically, and he instinctively rushed over to stop him.
However, as soon as he took a step, he saw a soft golden light emanating from the trident, enveloping the entire Leviathan.
Under the light, the enormous, ugly body shrank and deformed rapidly, like melting ice and snow, and soon returned to human form.
Mera, with her striking red hair Mera, floated quietly in the water and slowly opened her eyes.
Thor walked over to Arthur, who was still in a daze, and shoved the golden trident back into his arms without even looking at it.
"You're a complete waste; you can't even take care of your own wife."
Arthur instinctively clutched his weapon. Hearing this taunt, a surge of anger rushed to his head, and without thinking, he retorted, "You didn't take good care of Martha either, did you?!"
He regretted it as soon as the words left his mouth.
A massive fist, with the terrifying force torn through the seawater, was imprinted on his face.
Arthur was sent flying. He tried to fight back, but was horrified to find that in this ocean, his terrifying power, which was enough to briefly rival Superman's, was completely ineffective against " Bruce's Papa," as fragile as an infant.
What followed was a one-sided, predictable beating.
A few minutes later, a bruised and battered Arthur was tossed aside by Thor like trash next to Diana and the just-awakened Mera.
Thor shook his hand and used the same trick again, projecting a virtual screen from the armor on his wrist and rapidly tapping it with his fingers.
Soon, another dark blue spatial portal slowly opened in front of him.
