After a long journey, the three of them reached a temporary shelter at the site of a crashed spaceship.
"Ow?! Elizabeth, did you do that on purpose too?"
Elizabeth dropped Thor straight onto the ground, leaving his face battered and bruised. He had just taken a beating from the White Queen, and now he had been dumped on the ground. The exquisite agony was truly beyond words.
"You're too heavy," Elizabeth replied flatly.
That explanation only convinced Thor further that the woman who went into battle wearing fetish gear every day had done it on purpose too.
Zhang Wuji's mother had been right. Pretty women not only lied without pausing for breath, they also lost their tempers.
Fortunately, he had picked up a fragment of the Law of Time on the way. Otherwise, he might actually have been a little dead by now.
The two women ignored his howling in silent agreement and went to the other side of the ship to get water and food.
"Elizabeth, what do you make of this Thor?"
Elizabeth paused and thought for a while before answering, "He's a lecherous god with flexible moral standards and above-average bone density."
"That's you all right, Elizabeth. Your eye for people is as sharp as ever."
Emma Frost pulled a bottle of red wine from the ship's cabin, poured it into a glass, and started drinking by herself.
Elizabeth said nothing. She took out a packet of compressed biscuits and began eating them with water.
Seeing that playing the victim didn't seem to be working, Thor dusted himself off and got up.
For the moment, he stayed away from the two women. He wasn't a masochist. First, he had to look around for more of those law fragments. He desperately needed strength now.
Otherwise, a mere pair of Mutants would dare shit and piss on his head. It was an insult to the might of Thor, the God of Thunder!
Apart from the area where the White Queen and Elizabeth were, Thor searched virtually every inch of the ship, inside and out. At last, he found two law fragments, one light green and the other pale blue.
He hurriedly found a place to sit cross-legged and began absorbing and comprehending the two law fragments.
Thor's husky-like rampage through the ship was hard to miss, and it caught the two women's attention. When they saw him find two crystal fragments and sit down, delighted, to meditate, they vaguely guessed something.
Emma Frost pulled a string of crystal fragments from a nearby drawer. She had kept them because she thought the pretty stones might make nice jewelry or something.
But judging by the so-called Thor's reaction, these crystal fragments seemed to be more than mere stones. What were they, to attract a god so much that he couldn't even hide his excitement?
"Elizabeth, can you see anything different about these stones?"
Elizabeth examined them carefully and even used her psychic power to probe them. Yet she found nothing, and finally came to a conclusion:
"Maybe these pretty stones are only useful to gods?"
"Then do you think I should give them to that big oaf?"
"Honestly, Emma, I don't know. Until now, I thought myths were just legends."
Emma Frost took a sip of red wine, her gaze drifting toward Thor as he searched for fragments.
Emma Frost wasn't surprised by Elizabeth's answer. She simply held the string of crystal fragments in her hand, polishing them as her gaze occasionally drifted toward the figure sitting cross-legged.
She hadn't decided whether to give them to him, but the big oaf was getting more and more interesting.
Thor was excited, because both law fragments he had found were extraordinary.
The two crystal fragments reflected each other's light. One was a faint, pale blue, and the other a deep, dark green.
The blue one was a fragment of the Law of Space. Thor strongly suspected it was a piece chipped off a Space Stone, but then he thought of the pile of Infinity Stones at the Time Variance Authority. It was perfectly normal for there to be Infinity Stone law fragments in Knowhere.
The other law fragment was exactly what he urgently needed. It was a small crystal fragment, no bigger than a fingernail.
Yet the law it contained was the Law of Life, giving him hope that he could repair his body.
Without a moment's hesitation, he decisively chose to absorb the Law of Life fragment first.
It was much like absorbing the Law of Time fragment, except that this time a dark green glow covered his entire body. His cracked body slowly began to heal, and before long, the cracks that had made him look like a rag doll disappeared one by one.
After comprehending the Law of Life, Thor instinctively stretched, feeling the strength that came with his body's rebirth. By his rough estimate, he currently had about five or six tons of strength.
Not bad, not bad. He had recovered roughly to Captain America's level. It seemed his return to his peak was just around the corner.
The miraculous sight clearly shocked Emma Frost and Elizabeth. Emma Frost even looked down at the string of crystal fragments in her hand.
Were these things really that effective?
After all, the terrifying cracks that had covered Thor's body had all vanished. Was it some kind of healing ability? Or something else?
"The ability that crystal fragment gave him is about on par with Logan's self-healing."
Elizabeth reached that conclusion after observing him carefully.
Emma Frost studied the necklace in her hand but couldn't make anything of it either. Still, with the effect right in front of her, the question she had been wrestling with was no longer much of a problem.
Why would I give away something this good?
With that thought, Emma Frost put away the crystal fragment necklace, then picked up a knife and fork and began eating with great elegance.
Though she was eating cheap bread and drinking red wine in a battered spaceship, Emma Frost's innate aristocratic bearing remained undiminished.
Her cuts were clean and precise. The whole loaf was divided into four or five pieces, with even cuts and equal sizes.
She gently swirled the liquid in her glass and took a small sip. Only then did she reach out and roll up her sleeve, pick up her fork, and spear a small piece of bread. She put it in her mouth and chewed slowly, without making the slightest sound throughout.
Thor lost no time in absorbing the Law of Space fragment, finishing in short order. He sensed that the injuries inside his body were healing at a faint rate, as well as the Law of Space he had just acquired.
He didn't know who had thrown him into Knowhere, but whoever it was had done him an enormous favor!
Once he had grown stronger, he would have to thank them properly.
For ordinary heroes and villains, this place was like an apocalypse, but for him, it was paradise.
He probably hadn't even been here a day, and he had already learned Telepathy and comprehended a wisp each of the Law of Time, the Law of Space, and the Law of Life.
Knowhere was practically his very own beginner village. It seemed that hiding here until he reached max level before venturing out was no dream!
He could now pause time, reverse time, and accelerate time for over ten seconds, move through space within a hundred-meter range, and grant living beings vitality and heal injuries.
Oh, right, there was also his basic Telepathy. Though he couldn't casually control hundreds or thousands of people like a certain evil old bald man or that hateful, stinking woman Emma Frost,
people with weak mental resistance, or ordinary people, no longer had any secrets from him.
On top of that, a little of his divine power had recovered.
He scarcely dared imagine how powerful he would become after absorbing every fragment in Knowhere.
Perhaps becoming Rune King Thor or an even more powerful being would no longer be a dream.
As Thor fantasized about the future, he failed to notice a piece of bread hurtling toward him at an astonishing speed.
