Although Thor was lost in thought, his body's instinctive combat reflexes still detected the unidentified flying object.

Just as the small piece of bread was about to hit him in the face, he caught it between two fingers.

"This is for you."

Thor looked toward the voice and saw Emma Frost wiping her mouth with a napkin. Beside her, Elizabeth's mouth was moving nonstop; she was clearly eating something.

He looked down at the piece of bread in his hand, which was only as big as his thumb, and grumbled, "Emma Frost, is this how you treat an injured man? Don't injured people have rights?"

Emma Frost did not answer. She walked over to Thor in her high heels and looked down at the Asgardian god of thunder. "I'm the one who picked you up, so of course I decide how to treat you."

She paused, her sharp, penetrating gaze sweeping over Thor's body. "Besides, didn't those lousy stones just heal your injuries?"

Something's not right. Why are the people others meet after transmigrating into Marvel so easy to fool, while the ones I meet can't be fooled at all?

Damn it, the first people he met when he opened his eyes were the White Queen and Psylocke. Those two-especially the White Queen-he'd believe it if someone told him she was eight hundred schemes with a person growing on top.

"Emma Frost, you should know perfectly well who you're talking to now."

Thor sprang to his feet. His nearly 1.9-meter frame towered over Emma Frost, countless tiny bolts of lightning coiling around his body as an immense pressure bore down on her.

"Heh, interesting."

Emma Frost chuckled, completely unconcerned that Thor was a full head taller than her. She raised her head and met his gaze without the slightest fear.

"What? Is this how the mighty Thor, god of thunder of Asgard, treats the person who saved his life?"

Her tone held a hint of disdain and mockery.

"Emma Frost, let's get one thing straight. You only count as half my savior. By normal logic, Elizabeth is the one who saved my life."

Thor stepped forward without the slightest hesitation and looked down at the White Queen, renowned throughout Marvel. With someone like her, he could only be tougher than she was.

"Interesting. Are you trying to start a fight?"

Emma Frost's right hand instantly took on Diamond Form, and she tapped Thor's chest twice, neither hard nor lightly, as if she did not care at all about the lightning-covered man before her.

Seeing the tense standoff, Elizabeth stepped forward as well. Psionic blades of light had already enveloped her fists, and she looked ready to attack without another word.

"Tch, a good man doesn't fight women."

Thor curled his lip and withdrew the lightning. He definitely was not scared; he simply could not bear to hit his saviors or beautiful women.

He took a few steps back, waved a hand through the air, and grasped a white-and-purple fragment of law before absorbing it.

Five minutes later, Thor held out his palm. One little animal after another appeared above it, made of psionic energy: chickens, ducks, cats, dogs, bears, wolves, tigers, and leopards. Each was lifelike, its entire body formed from pale purple energy.

Elizabeth stared at the little animals, stunned for once.

That was her ability.

It had taken her over a decade of practice to do that, yet he had learned it in five minutes.

Seeing this, Emma Frost and Elizabeth finally put their doubts to rest. At last, both women believed that Thor had not lied.

Even Apocalypse, who also existed in their universe, could not learn someone else's ability just by seeing it once.

He truly was a god from myth and legend. He was honestly a little overpowered.

"Elizabeth, I can't read his thoughts anymore."

Elizabeth froze for a moment before she understood. Her always-calm expression finally shifted. "Emma Frost? Are you sure?"

"I'm sure. When he first learned telepathy, I could still get a rough reading, but now I can't detect anything at all."

Emma Frost's expression also turned unusually serious. This god from Norse mythology was far too mysterious. In the universe she came from, only Apocalypse and Charles could suppress her in the mental realm.

Thor had only just mastered telepathy, yet he had reached this level in no time. It seemed he would make a very good investment.

Thor sensed someone peering into his mental realm again and immediately used his newly enhanced telepathy to block them. That White Queen really was a sneaky woman, always prying into other people's privacy.

Just as he was about to give that capitalist a thorough scolding, a tremendous boom drew the attention of all three people present.

Boom!

Emma Frost and Elizabeth exchanged a glance and understood what the other was thinking. One after the other, they rushed out of the spaceship and sped toward the source of the boom.

Thor was a little bewildered. What's going on?

Then he realized. Oh... this should be Knowhere. Some new trash must have arrived, and new trash means plenty of water and supplies.

No wonder even the White Queen, who feared nothing and acted like she owned the place, had rushed out so urgently. If she arrived late, there might really be nothing left, not even scraps.

He might as well go and see what was happening too.

The next second, a faint blue vortex appeared behind him and swallowed him up. When he reappeared, he was a hundred meters away.

The people living on Knowhere reacted to the earth-shaking boom much the same way the White Queen and Psylocke had.

Before long, one small group after another raced to the destination, each trying to get there first. Clearly, a major battle was imminent.

Hydra Squad, which was closest to the spaceship's crash site, quickly turned its vehicle around and sped toward it.

"Captain, that made too much noise. It won't just attract that monster; it might even attract Cassandra. We can't get bogged down in a fight. We grab what we can and leave."

Baron Zemo offered a rational assessment.

"Rumlow, we're only grabbing supplies this time. No fighting."

"Okay, Captain." Crossbones, a battle-hungry man, was a little disappointed to hear there would be no fighting. His metal exoskeleton armor creaked and clattered as he moved.

Soon, the Winter Soldier brought the vehicle to a stop with a clean drift, and the five members of Hydra Squad saw the spaceship that had fallen this time.

The alien spaceship, a full hundred meters across, lay quietly on the wasteland ahead.

The Hydra Captain took the shield from his back and flashed several tactical hand signals. The five of them advanced in a triangular formation.

Hydra Squad quickly reached the spaceship's entrance. Just as they were about to go in, they saw someone walk out from inside.

It was a tall woman, one who could even be described as somewhat muscular. She wore a dark blue special operations suit with the British flag on the chest and carried a Vibranium Shield much like the Hydra Captain's, except hers bore the British flag.

After getting a clear look at her face, the Hydra Captain could not help but lose focus for a moment.

"Car...ter?!"

"Are you Steve?!!"

Each recognized the other by their face. But when Captain Carter saw the Hydra emblem on the shield in the Hydra Captain's hand, her expression darkened.

"You're not like my Carter."

"And you're not like the Steve I know. He would never join Hydra."

They looked at each other and saw what the other was thinking in their eyes. At the same moment, they hurled their shields forward.

The two Vibranium Shields shot out like arrows loosed from a bow and swiftly collided with a sharp metallic clang. Both figures charged forward at the same time.
