Emma Frost felt the mental power that far surpassed her own, and her expression turned grave. She hurriedly turned to Elizabeth beside her:
"Elizabeth, help me cut off her connection. We can't let her find this place!"
"Okay!"
The next second, the White Queen Emma Frost and Psylocke Elizabeth joined their mental powers, resisting Cassandra's psychic storm together.
It took an Omega Mutant and a Quasi-Omega Mutant combining their strength to barely withstand Cassandra's psychic storm.
Only now did Thor fully grasp just how powerful the ruler of Knowhere was. No wonder she collected law fragments too. From the look of it, the real Cassandra couldn't be dealt with as easily as she had been in the movie, using Juggernaut's helmet.
He figured only the professor in his prime could match her here, while only some of the more overpowered Mutants, such as Phoenix, Franklin, and Legion, could finish off this bald woman for good.
The good news was that this starter village was extremely favorable to his growth. The bad news was that the starter village boss was a little beyond his level.
And based on the information he had, there were certainly a large number of law fragments in her base too. However, he guessed that she probably couldn't absorb 100% of a law fragment.
If she really could, they would already have been reduced to fragments.
"Oh? The White Queen, Emma Frost? A rare species in Knowhere!"
Even in the middle of their clash, Cassandra could spare the attention to look around. She quickly swept her gaze over Thor and his group, but only the White Queen and this new Thor drew her attention.
"And this Thor who can absorb laws. Interesting, very interesting. You two are qualified to become part of my collection."
"Let me think... I'll turn one of you into a diamond toilet and the other into a human sculpture. What do you think?"
Hearing Cassandra's casual taunt, and that she was treating her as nothing more than a toilet, Emma Frost felt genuine anger for once. A cold gleam seemed to spread across her diamond skin.
Her usual elegance and languor vanished, leaving nothing but a bone-chilling coldness in her icy eyes.
"Cassandra, have you stayed in Knowhere so long that you've gone too mad to understand basic decency?"
Her voice was cool and steady, without a trace of panic, while she quietly reinforced her mental power layer upon layer, sealing off the space with Psylocke.
"Collectibles? A diamond toilet?
You think far too highly of yourself.
You're nothing but a mad dog discarded by the TVA, squatting in a junkyard. Do you really think you're a god?"
A cold, mocking smile curled Emma Frost's lips as her psychic words stabbed directly at Cassandra's will:
"I suggest you pull back your psychic tendrils and crawl back onto your toilet!"
"If you really force me to stop holding back, I'll drag you down with me, even if it means suffering severe mental damage.
You should know that when two psychics fight to the death, even if you win, you'll be left with permanent scars."
With that, she stopped holding back. Her psychic power turned into countless sharp ice crystals, densely packed as they viciously sliced into Cassandra's psychic storm.
Cassandra paid no attention to Emma Frost's threat. With a single thought, her immense mental power and telekinesis formed a hurricane that easily swallowed Emma Frost and Elizabeth's attacks.
"Emma Frost." Cassandra chuckled, pronouncing the White Queen's name one word at a time. "Has no one ever told you that there are differences in strength even among Omega-level Mutants?"
The next second, the immense psychic hurricane swept up everything around it. Crumbling walls and spaceship wreckage were all caught in its path, and a terrifying natural disaster was born.
Hydra Captain and Captain Carter had seen that things were going badly and had already led their squads to flee. In a battle of this level, super soldiers like them were no different from ants.
Going in would have been suicide.
Thor seized the opportunity to frantically absorb the mental law fragments dropped by the three of them, and his mental power began to surge.
Thor immediately used his mental power to contact Emma Frost. "Emma! You and Elizabeth hold on a little longer. I'll get you out of here!"
Emma Frost's expression froze for a moment. This Thor can already force a mental bridge between us?
"Okay. How much longer do you need?"
"Five minutes!"
"All right. Elizabeth, we'll have to give it everything we've got."
"Okay!"
Emma Frost and Elizabeth joined their mental powers again, quickly forming a psychic energy storm that was in no way inferior to Cassandra's, and slammed it into hers!
For a moment, two immense hurricanes collided fiercely in Knowhere. The sight shocked everyone there. Someone could actually fight Cassandra head-on without falling behind?
On top of a secluded valley, Laura watched the natural disaster unfolding in the distance through a pair of binoculars, then turned to a man beside her who wore a trench coat and was playing with a deck of cards.
"Remy, do you know any Mutants who can fight that monster like this?"
Gambit Remy took the binoculars and watched for a while before slowly shaking his head. "No. Even Charles can only control people; he can't create a psychic storm on this scale. The White Queen Emma Frost's powers are much the same as the professor's, so she probably can't do it either."
Elektra came out of the cave and took the binoculars for a look as well. "It's a good thing my world doesn't have monsters like you people. If they fought on my Earth, they'd blow up my home."
Blade Erik sat nearby, drinking, and remarked, "Which one of us dumped in this junkyard isn't a monster?"
"Fair point." Elektra shrugged.
On the main battlefield, the two tornadoes remained locked in a stalemate, neither able to overcome the other for the time being.
Thor absorbed the psychic law fragments dropped by the three of them while also absorbing three other space law fragments.
His mental power soon surged to the same level as the White Queen Emma Frost's. The next second, he hesitated no longer and joined the battle.
With another Quasi-Omega-level mental power joining the fight, Cassandra's psychic storm was forced steadily back.
An alluring, wicked smile curled across the face of Azazel, whom she controlled. "How interesting! You can actually absorb the laws inside law fragments perfectly. I've decided I'll allow you to be my test subject, Thor."
"Ptooey! Fuck you, Cassandra!"
"Listen to me! You'll always, always be nothing more than trash Charles casually threw away. All the power you're so proud of comes from the man you look down on most, but it never occurred to you that he doesn't give a damn about you!"
"Only someone as shameless as you would call yourself his sister. It never occurred to you that he doesn't even know you, that he doesn't give a damn about you!"
While helping Emma Frost and Elizabeth, Thor used the description of Cassandra from the comics to strike right at her sore spots.
The alluring, wicked smile on Azazel's face suddenly turned down, and the killing intent in his eyes nearly became tangible. The psychic storm that had been steadily pushed back swelled once more and began to suppress the combined forces of Thor and the two women.
"Fine, fine, fine! So you're Thor? Even making you a test subject would be giving you too much credit. I'll make you wish you were dead, but unable to die!"
With that furious roar, Cassandra went completely berserk. The sky darkened in an instant, and one enormous tornado after another rose from the ground, crashing viciously into the psychic storm created by Thor and the two women.
During the classic trash-talk distraction, Thor fully absorbed the three space law fragments. He stepped forward and wrapped his arms around Emma Frost's and Elizabeth's waists, one on each side, then flashed Cassandra a mouthful of gleaming white teeth:
"Cassandra, you're a fucking idiot!"
The next moment, a blue spatial vortex flashed around the three of them, and they vanished from where they stood, leaving only Cassandra raging helplessly behind.
