Arc 4The Deconstructionist Crisis
Lynn and Vought manipulated metahuman fears, using Adrien Dubois as the Deconstructionist to push public support toward sweeping registration powers. Yasuo killed Adrien and joined Vought, while Howard and Maria’s deaths left Lynn responsible for Tony; four years later, Vought encountered Vers and learned Skrulls had infiltrated Earth.
- After the Illinois livestream discredited Senator Robert Kelly, Congress passed the Metahuman Registration and Management Act and appointed Lynn director of Vought’s new bureau.
- Lynn and Hannibal turned Kyle into Vought’s first manufactured hero, Vulcan, while Hannibal chose Adrien Dubois to become a destructive supervillain.
- Hannibal cultivated Adrien as the Deconstructionist, and Vought used his attacks and staged encounters to frighten the public and undermine metahuman groups and street heroes.
- The Deconstructionist killed members of the Awakened Mutual Aid Society, defeated vigilantes and Avengers, and altered the Metropolitan Museum of Art as support for mandatory regulation surged.
- Howard warned Lynn about spies, shared his inventions and assets, and asked him to protect Tony before the Winter Soldier killed Howard and Maria.
- Yasuo reached the Empire State Building, defeated the Deconstructionist, and watched him die after his family’s memories returned.
- Vought presented Yasuo as its recruit, while Lynn took charge of Stark Industries and promised to protect the grieving Tony, who questioned the explanation for his parents’ crash.
- Four years later, Vers arrived in Los Angeles hunting Skrulls, and Lynn ordered Vought to help her find them while monitoring S.H.I.E.L.D.
