Hela and her group prepared to flee after their commotion, but Aidan realized Fuluolan and the other three might have gone to the Black Death Gang. Hela agreed to help him find them, strengthened Aidan and Fulan with her cells, and left with them for the gang’s location.

• Tuote, Fulan, Hela, Aidan, Weier, and the others prepared to leave the warehouse, while Tuote and Weier planned to escape by car.
• Aidan learned that Fuluolan and the other three had gone out and suspected they were looking for the Black Death Gang.
• Fulan recognized the gang from Aidan’s description of the bird-beak-mask necklace, and Hela agreed to take Aidan to find the missing four.

Fulan and Aidan rescued Fuluolan and the other children from the crow man and his armed gang. They captured the crow man and began interrogating him, though Aidan’s first question was an odd arithmetic problem.

Fulan and Aidan learned that [Autumn] might have powerful accomplices, then rescued Fuluolan and the other children from the Black Death Gang. Just as the group prepared to leave the city, they discovered that a barrier had sealed it off.

• Crow Man revealed that [Autumn] had ordered him to capture [Life] and might have gone to meet his accomplices, before Fulan killed him and his living knife swallowed the corpse.
• Aidan warned Fulan that they needed to leave the city quickly because [Autumn]'s companions might be the other [Four Seasons].
• Fulan and Aidan met Fuluolan and the other children outside the wrecked bar, and Fuluolan and the others apologized for causing trouble.
• Aidan comforted Fuluolan, who broke down crying as Aidan embraced him.
• Fulan received a message saying the city had been sealed off, and mechanical pillars rose around the city to form a massive barrier.

Tuote and Hela learned that the city had been sealed while the [Godslaying] squad hunted two Variants, leaving them unable to escape. After Hela contacted Fulan, she sensed that he and Aidan had encountered a powerful wolf Variant.

• An armed officer told Tuote and Hela that the city was under lockdown after two Variants injured the [Armored Warrior], and that the [Godslaying] squad had arrived to hunt them.
• Tuote failed to persuade the officer to let them leave, while Hela charmed him into taking her contact information and learned the lockdown might last about a week.

• Xiunuosi, exhausted after nearly a week without sleep, grabbed Brown by the throat and demanded that he let him sleep.
• Brown opened a portal and sent Xiunuosi into his room, then returned him after nearly ten hours of rest.
• Brown and Xiunuosi headed toward the lounge where Fulan and Aidan were, and Brown briefly noticed someone hiding in a corner.

• Hela abandoned her slow car, stole a supercar, and drove toward the border with Tuote and Weier while failing to contact Aidan and Fulan.

[Spring] escaped after Lei Yong attacked her and the energy shield shattered, while Aidan and Fulan confronted [Summer] at the city border. The chapter ended with [Summer] charging through their combined attacks, apparently unfazed despite losing his left hand.

• [Spring] blocked Lei Yong’s sword strike with a sunflower of sunlight, then fled when the energy shield shattered.
• Lei Yong pursued [Spring], while the man in the suit followed using the breeze from his wing pendant.
