Ye Yiqing persuaded the Sea Shark Dragons and Hela to join the Light God Society by promising to revive their dead loved ones and help them take revenge on humanity. Hela appeared to accept his offer, then impaled him with a tooth-covered tentacle and revealed that she recognized him.

• Ye Yiqing offered to revive the dead fish if the Sea Shark Dragons cooperated with the Light God Society’s world-saving plan and encouraged them to retaliate against humanity.
• Ocean reluctantly agreed to the alliance after the Sea Shark Dragons demanded revenge.

Hela met Nan Tian, a bishop of the Light God Society whose ability, [Thought], could make his wishes come true. He began explaining the history of Variants, transforming the sea around them into an ancient city and saying it all began several hundred years ago.

• Nan Tian introduced himself to Hela and revealed that he and Nanming were twin brothers, with Nan Tian as the younger one.
• Nan Tian dismissed Ye Yiqing, Lin Wushuang, and Nanming, while Lin Wushuang asked about Ye Linwan and learned that others could not decide matters of the heart for her.
• Hela watched Nan Tian fish on the sea, and he caught a real grass carp before explaining his [Thought] ability and its limits.
• Hela asked Nan Tian about the meaning of her birth, and he invited her to follow him across the sea.

Nan Tian showed Hela how nuclear war and Earth's purge of humanity created Variants and [Ultimate Level], the embodiment of Earth's will and the wishes of living creatures. After humanity's nuclear attack broke [Ultimate Level] into pieces, the chapter ended with the birth of the [Five Calamities].

• Hela and Nan Tian witnessed nuclear war devastate Earth and trigger a three-month series of natural disasters.
• After the disasters stopped, dead animals revived as Variants and began hunting humans.
• Nan Tian explained that Earth's wish and the wishes of creatures harmed by humanity had created Variants to wipe out humanity, making Hela question her own purpose.
• A colossal smoky beast appeared, and Nan Tian identified it as [Ultimate Level], Hela's father and mother and the world's strongest being.
• Humanity's missiles blew [Ultimate Level] apart by the sea, but Nan Tian explained that it could not die while Earth remained.

Nan Tian explained that the Light God Society planned to turn [Ultimate] into mental power and use it to wish humanity away, while granting its members wishes afterward. Hela accepted a partnership to regain her memories and revive the souls in her belly, but insisted she would not be the Society’s subordinate.

• Nan Tian told Hela that the [Five Calamities] could be reborn after death, though they would lose their memories of their previous lives.
• Nan Tian revealed that he intended to use the Tree of Terra to convert [Ultimate] into mental power and make a wish to wipe out humanity, sparing Light God Society members but taking away their ability to reproduce.

• Over a meal, Hela asked Ye Linwan about [Thought], and Ye Linwan explained that wishes cost more mental power when they alter reality more drastically or seek newer, more complicated information.
• Ye Linwan told Hela that the Lord had raised his realm by repeatedly wishing for advancement as his mental power recovered, reaching the Human Limit in less than a year.
• Hela declined Ye Ciqing's invitation to stay and play, and Ye Yiqing arranged someone to help her travel to Russia.
• Hela said she was going to Russia to find an underling.

Hela arrived in Russia to search for Tuote, whose location [X] traced to the Star God Group’s Moscow base. Hela decided to stake out the company, but her ride’s motorcycle exploded as they set off for Moscow.

• Hela landed in Russia, where a goth-styled youth seized her with threads and took her away on his ghost-flame motorcycle.
• Hela asked [X] to find Tuote, but [X] could not locate him in the records because he might have altered his identity.

Hela and the Ghostfire kid survived the motorcycle explosion, and Hela later staked out the Star God Group headquarters. The [Godslaying] Squad arrived, while the Ghostfire kid noticed someone watching him and ran into the woods after them.

• Ghostfire revived by draining the doctor's life force, then Hela threw him naked out the hospital window and ordered him to stake out the Star God headquarters.
• Hela watched the heavily guarded headquarters through the night and saw a distorted space breach its perimeter, triggering its alarms and defenses.
• Brown called out to the headquarters, and the [Godslaying] Squad entered after the staff lowered their defenses; Hela recognized the members but noticed Lei Yong was absent.
• The Ghostfire kid, who had been staking out the building for over ten hours, spotted an eye watching him from the woods and charged after it.

Will-o'-the-Wisp Boy fought a puppet-like swordsman in the snowy woods, drained one of two identical enemies, and severed the other’s arm. As the wounded swordsman killed himself, another saber-wielding figure appeared and struck Will-o'-the-Wisp Boy.

• Will-o'-the-Wisp Boy chased a figure through the woods and confronted a vacant-eyed man wielding a saber.
• The puppet-like man attacked with sword qi and a close-range thrust, but Will-o'-the-Wisp Boy dodged and countered with a torrent of threads.
• A second identical puppet man stabbed Will-o'-the-Wisp Boy from behind, but Will-o'-the-Wisp Boy held the saber in place and drained him into a husk.
• Will-o'-the-Wisp Boy moved faster after absorbing the man’s power and severed the remaining puppet man’s arm.
• The one-armed puppet man slit his own throat, while another saber-wielding figure rushed through Will-o'-the-Wisp Boy’s threads and struck him.

Hela killed a puppet man who resembled her underling Fulan, then waited for whoever controlled the strange lookalikes. After X warned that the [Godslaying] Squad was nearby, Hela escaped in a car and agreed to return in a week.

• Hela severed the puppet man's head and ate it, concluding that the corpse was not Fulan but had a brain capable of receiving information remotely.
• Hela told the will-o'-the-wisp boy she would wait for the lookalikes' boss, and X warned her that the commotion might attract the [Godslaying] Squad.
• Hela spotted Brown urinating on the prison-like building's roof, and X panicked and ordered them to retreat.

Hela went out to buy snacks and discovered that dozens of identical Fulans were secretly following her. After they recognized her and knelt, Tuote arrived and claimed them as his great scientific achievements.

• Hela ate all the snacks in her hotel suite, then went out and bought more without checking the price.
• Hela noticed that dozens of beings with the same aura as the group from the previous day were following her.
• Hela led the followers to a deserted area, where dozens of Fulan lookalikes emerged and knelt after confirming her identity.
• Tuote arrived on an electric scooter and told Hela that the Fulans were his great scientific achievements.

Tuote explained how he had used Hela’s cells and his research into Variants to create controllable [Artificial Variants], then took her to his home. He showed her his grandfather’s notebook and began to reveal that something had been hidden about his research.

• Tuote told Hela that her cells had helped him create [Artificial Variants], which he had modeled on Fulan.
• Hela asked Tuote to return with her, but he said he could not leave because he still had unfinished work and took her to his home instead.
• Tuote explained that he had used Fulan as a template for the [Artificial Variants] and brought Hela to the villa where Weier lived.
• Weier recognized Hela after Tuote explained who she was and hurried to prepare a meal for her.

• Tuote explained that his grandfather’s research and death might be connected to the Star God Group, and Hela agreed to help him investigate.
• Tuote revealed that the group was hosting a welcome ceremony for the [Godslaying] Squad and said he had a plan.

• Yixue stole a rack of lamb for the wolf in the [Room], then tried to pet Hela and got swatted away.

Hela encountered the Meng Yuan sisters as they used their magic wand to hypnotize Yifan and Telake and lead them toward the secret basement. The group passed through five security doors, revealing a hidden space beyond them.

• Telake asked Yifan to leave the venue for an important conversation, but Hela's gaze left Yifan and Telake vacant.
• Meng Yuan appeared with her sister, examined Telake with mind magic, and discovered that both men needed to be controlled together.
