Sister Huo Makes Her Move: How Do You Want to Die?
Thousand Mechanisms tapped rapidly at the keyboard, the keys clattering as he hacked the surveillance system across all of West Street.
"Boss, I've cracked Qilin Hall's surveillance. Their security guards change shifts every half hour. You have 30 minutes, and you have to rescue her within that time, or you'll be in danger!"
"Got it!"
Ye Huo arrived at the southwest corner of Qilin Hall, beside a towering concrete wall. The top of the three-meter wall was covered with a high-voltage electric grid.
She listened for movement. No one was there, so she walked over to the corner of the wall.
Sunlight filtered down through the gaps in the trees.
Ye Huo held her breath and focused, climbing up a large tree and looking around. The whole of Qilin Hall had been built like a black prison, under completely closed-off management.
Tall walls surrounded it, and with the densely packed electric grid and wire, no one could escape. It was infamous for its cruelty and strictness.
Qilin Hall covered an area of approximately 10,000 square meters.
It was divided into four major areas: east, south, west, and north. Enormous searchlights and more than a dozen drones circled above the prison all day, monitoring the prisoners' movements 24 hours a day.
It was called Qilin Hall, but in truth, it was essentially a large black prison!
Ye Huo's red lips curled slightly. In a flash, she became a black shadow, leaping from the tree and over the wall.
Both feet landed steadily on the ground, and she entered the prison.
"Stop! Who are you?"
A thug pointed a knife at her and roared.
Without a moment's hesitation, Ye Huo drew her gun and fired. A bullet flashed, and the man fell.
She didn't kill people; the gun in her hand was only a tranquilizer gun.
The Qilin Hall thug wasn't dead, only unconscious.
As she made her way through, she tranquilized Qilin Hall's assassins, moving swiftly and ruthlessly, without wasting a motion.
As a top-tier mercenary queen, dealing with these thugs was as easy as slaughtering chickens.
She knocked out every guard on the first floor.
All trace of warmth vanished from Ye Huo's cool, aloof face in an instant.
She raised a brow, the corners of her lips lifting slightly as a flicker of displeased mockery appeared in her eyes.
She entered Qilin Hall's gloomy lair, moving as lightly as a cat as she searched for Snake Demon.
At that moment, in the ice chamber on the fourth floor of Qilin Hall's dark, black chamber, seven or eight underlings were beating Snake Demon.
Snake Demon normally wouldn't have been this weak; it was only because the bones in her hands and feet had been broken.
Seeing that she couldn't fight back, Qilin Hall's thugs swarmed her, punching and kicking her until her face was covered in blood.
Under the storm of blows from the group, the cold, proud woman didn't make a sound.
She clenched her white-jade fingers and glared stubbornly at the thugs.
The pride carved into her bones meant she would never submit, even in death.
"Bitch, you're already a prisoner, and you're still putting on airs like some young lady. I'll beat you to death!"
Hua Ji, the hall master of Qilin Hall, curled her lips maliciously.
She cast a provocative, sidelong glance at the blood-soaked Snake Demon on the floor, as though looking at a rag.
The bitch before her was the Xiao Family's eldest daughter, abandoned outside the family and sent to Qilin Hall by her own father, never to rise again.
"Tsk, looking as cheap as you do, you still want to be the Xiao Family's eldest young lady? Dream on."
Hua Ji looked at her coldly.
"Even the Xiao Family's servants are nobler than you, if you ask me. You're an unlucky wretch just like your mother; you can't even compare to one finger of the Xiao Family's second young lady..."
Hua Ji and her underlings jeered, their venomous words filling Snake Demon's eyes with killing intent in an instant.
"Oh, idiot, you still don't know, do you? The Xiao Family deliberately spread word this time that they were giving away your mother's dowry jewelry, and you couldn't hold yourself back. You walked right into the net and fell into the trap. You deserved to be caught!"
Hua Ji covered her mouth, feigning mockery.
"From now on, just wait to spend the rest of your life imprisoned here!!"
Hua Ji sat on the prison bed.
She tossed a document at Snake Demon and said contemptuously, as though calling a dog, "Kneel down, sign it, and press your fingerprint on it. When I'm in a better mood, I'll stop tormenting you. How about it?"
"Dream on!"
Snake Demon looked coldly at the group.
Even though she had been beaten so badly she couldn't stand, she still didn't make a sound.
The document concerned the 45 percent equity stake her mother had left her, worth tens of billions.
It was managed by the group's board of directors.
The Xiao Family had sent her to Qilin Hall to threaten her into surrendering her mother's inheritance, and had promised Qilin Hall a billion as long as Snake Demon handed over that stake!
"Damn it, still won't sign? I'd like to see just how much you can endure."
Hua Ji gave them a look.
A crowd of her thug underlings rushed at the blood-soaked woman, their fists smashing viciously toward her head...
The woman lying on the floor was slender, her face covered in blood. She had been beaten to pieces like a rag doll.
She reached up and touched the blood on her face, then raised her head and glared at the people before her without a sound.
In her gaze, there was not only cold indifference, but contempt...
"Damn it, you still dare glare at me? Giving me that look, are you? I'll teach you to defy me..."
With that, Hua Ji joined in herself, raining another round of punches and kicks on Snake Demon.
A wave of dull pain ran through Snake Demon's body.
She fell to the floor, gasping weakly as thin streams of red blood trickled from the corners of her lips.
"Idiot, now you know it hurts, don't you? Still going to be stubborn?"
Hua Ji half-crouched, grabbed Snake Demon by her long hair, and said viciously, "As long as you're willing to sign the equity transfer agreement, big sister won't beat you anymore. How about it?"
Snake Demon used all her strength to grip the white agreement with her blood-covered fingers.
Just when everyone thought the girl was finally willing to admit defeat, sign, and press her fingerprint on it,
Snake Demon shakily climbed to her feet, gripped the agreement, and, with a rip, tore the equity transfer document in half.
She sneered, her eyes full of scorn. "Don't even think about getting a single share of the equity my mother left me!"
Her insolent attitude gave the woman boss an immediate urge to rush over and beat her again.
"Fine! You're asking for death, aren't you? I'll grant your wish!"
Furious, Hua Ji charged over with a large group of underlings, cursing as they continued the beating.
The woman was covered in blood, though it did nothing to conceal her beauty. Dressed in a loose red gown, she was covered in injuries from the beating.
Her slender body looked as though a gust of wind could blow her over-
"You bunch of ugly freaks, how dare you beat up my subordinate."
Ye Huo's face was cold, her ink-black eyes fixed tightly on that bunch of damned Qilin Hall trash.
Just as they were punching and kicking her, Ye Huo kicked open the chamber door and shouted, "Stop!"
At the sound, the underlings in the chamber froze for a moment and stopped beating her.
They looked up at Ye Huo. She was just a little girl, yet she knew so little of the rules that she wanted to stand up for the bitch!
Then she couldn't blame them for showing no mercy.
"Who are you? How did you get in?"
Hua Ji, their leader, looked at the young woman and asked in a mocking tone.
This was Qilin Hall, the largest gang on West Street, sealed off behind layer upon layer of security!
"I'm your mother, and I got in on my own ability!" Ye Huo curled her lips in a smile and answered imperiously.
Seeing the assassin's equipment Ye Huo wore and the neat way she had kicked in the door, Hua Ji instantly realized she had come to rescue someone.
Her lips curved maliciously as she threatened, "You've got some nerve, daring to snatch someone away in broad daylight. Aren't you afraid I'll make sure you never leave?"
"Sure, go ahead and try."
Ye Huo kicked two or three thugs over, sending them flying three meters away.
In an instant, the thugs' eyes rolled back, and they fell headfirst to the floor.
They were knocked unconscious!
Hua Ji stared at the young woman before her, her face full of horror. "Damn it, you're finished!"
She hadn't expected her to be so formidable.
No wonder Qilin Hall was so unusually quiet today.
Ye Huo glanced at her companion, who had been beaten and seriously injured.
Her face darkened. She flexed her fists, her knuckles cracking, and said flatly, "Enough nonsense. Come at me together!"
