Lin Heng used the Nether Ancestor Puppet and the Battle Heaven Pavilion to pressure the Fire Clan and its allies, then survived the Fire Clan’s assault by breaking through and trapping its Heavenly Venerables. Lin Heng won Zhu Jiuyin’s trials, comprehended Myriad Origins Return to One, and gained the guardians’ warning about the third-level Heavenly Estate. After the Eight Great Imperial Clans plotted against him, he accepted their proposal to move Battle Heaven Pavilion to the Third Heaven and began preparing Sun Yuan and the sect for the challenge.
Sun Yuan challenged the Eight Great Imperial Clans across the Sixth, Fifth, and Fourth Heavens, winning treasures and securing a sect site for the Battle Heaven Pavilion. After breaking the Fire Clan’s resistance and helping the Fire Separation Saint Emperor reconcile with his people, Lin Heng entered the forbidden ground to confront the Thought Avatars. He freed the Thunder Punishment and Wood Clan Saint Emperors, gained the Avatars of Desire and Evil, and began a dangerous contest with Wrath while the Metal Clan Saint Emperor moved to kill him.
Lin Heng subdued Mu Chen’s remaining Thought Avatars, drew closer to the Water Race and Wood Clan Saint Emperors, and pursued a breakthrough while the threat of foreign forces grew. The Fire Separation Saint Emperor secretly agreed to cooperate with the outsiders in exchange for a path beyond the Nine Heavens’ limits, and by the end he had secured his clan’s support.
Lin Heng exposed the Fire Clan’s collusion with the foreign race, then led the Nine Heavens into the enemy world while Dijiang killed the Fire Separation Saint Emperor. The arc ends as Lin Heng and the Nine Heavens forces confront the Three Umekawa Brothers at Gourd Valley.

Lin Heng ascended to the upper realm, broke through to the Dao Universe Realm, and fought off pursuers seeking Mu Chen’s inheritance. He entered Dasiwoba’s Heavenly Punishment Ghost Domain and reached the Netherworld Purgatory Tower, where Dasiwoba delayed a competition until Lin Heng emerged.
Lin Heng clears the Netherworld Purgatory Tower, reaches the Blood Return Demon Domain, and uses its Blood Devil Heart to strengthen his Evil Avatar. After meeting Primordial Chaos and reaching the Middle Cave Annihilation Realm, he faces Boya, who challenges him for Mu Chen’s inheritance.
Lin Heng secured the Western Celebratory Demon Sea’s place in the Heavenly Sea Contest and used the trials to challenge Hermoz’s Eastern Victorious Divine Sea. After gaining powerful treasures and defeating several opponents, he began a decisive battle with Sibada Haoli, trapping him in his own Creation Space.
Lin Heng won the Heavenly Sea Contest and unified the undersea factions through Mu Huan and his doppelgangers. He then claimed the Heavenly Star Sea Region after Zhu Rong killed its challengers, drawing him into the sea lords’ schemes as he prepared for the Eternal Ruins.
Lin Heng claimed the Pangu Axe’s handle and blade, growing stronger as he learned that Fate wanted him to replace Primordial Chaos and destroy the universe. The next contest loomed while Hermoz made plans against Lin Heng and his family, and Liu Ling'er was confronted in the Nine Heavens.
Lin Heng avenged the threat to Liu Ling'er, defeated Hermoz’s Blood Spirit Grand Array, and claimed the Pangu Axe after overcoming the Four Seas experts. As he investigated Mu Chen’s death and Fate’s role, he left the choice of how to perfect his fifth-layer universe unresolved.
