Lin Heng rose through the realms, reunited with some companions, and searched for the women separated from him. The volume ended with Yue Linglong and Miao Xiyin wounded and chained at Heavenly Desolation City as Lin Heng prepared to rescue them.
Lin Heng won the Hundred Sects Assembly, gained control of the Peach Garden Heavenly Abode, and founded the Battle Heaven Pavilion in defiance of the Eight Great Imperial Clans. After taking the sect into the Eighth Heaven and defeating the Dragon Flame Sect, he prepared for three arena battles that the Fire Clan arranged to weaken his forces.
Lin Heng defeated the Fire Clan’s ambushes and invasion, reached the Primordial Chaos Realm, and helped repel the Hunt Clan at the planar passage. He prepared for an ancient ruins expedition and the Battle Heaven Pavilion’s move to the Seventh Heaven while the Fire and Lei ancestors plotted against him.
Lin Heng secured the Heavenly Estate inheritance and prepared Battle Heaven Pavilion for the move to the Third Heaven, while Sun Yuan challenged the Eight Great Imperial Clans across three heavens. After Lin Heng overwhelmed the clans’ fighters, their Saint Emperors agreed to wait two years before confronting him.
Lin Heng defeated the Fire Clan’s resistance, subdued Mu Chen’s Thought Avatars, and uncovered the Fire Separation Saint Emperor’s bargain with the foreign race. He led the Nine Heavens forces into the enemy realm, where they gathered at Gourd Valley to face the Three Umekawa Brothers.
Lin Heng strengthens his allies and advances through the Heavenly Estate’s trials before ascending to the upper realm, where he survives the Netherworld Purgatory Tower and grows stronger in the Blood Return Demon Domain. The volume ends with Boya challenging him for Mu Chen’s inheritance.
Lin Heng won the Heavenly Sea Contest, united the undersea factions, and claimed the Pangu Axe while learning that Fate intended him to replace Primordial Chaos. He investigated Mu Chen’s death and rejected a future plan to restrain Fate, leaving unresolved how he would perfect his fifth-layer universe.
Lin Heng exposed schemes in the Four Seas, reached the Eternal Ages Cosmic Origin Realm, and killed Mo Chen in a trap. He began recovering and preparing for the Ancient Clan’s threat with Jian Yin’s help.
